I ended up getting Daisy Jones & The Six. I was planning to regardless (I LOVED Seven Husbands) and I was super happy to see that it was one of this month’s selections.

This company has gotten super shady – they used to extend your membership when you skip a month, but now they still charge for a new year every year even if you have credits left. I haven’t really been happy with the books for a while so was planning on canceling as soon as I’d used my credits (they take away your credits after you cancel), but instead…charged another $150 with no warning.

You also used to be able to cancel from their website, but they removed that functionality and now you have to call a number that’s only open 9am-6pm and doesn’t give you the option to leave a message. You can’t even fill out the contact me form if you want to cancel – it just prompts you to call.

I chose The Municipalists, since it looked interesting and different. I also added Into Thin Air and The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo. Now if only I can slog my way through this awful Erik Larson book so I can get to the good stuff.

I was planning on buying Daisy Jones & the Six and Queenie anyway!! And as a native Houstonian, I have to get Lot too. Great curation this month!

I chose before she knew him. The other choices didn’t interest me.

Daisy Jones & the Six was an easy choice. The author’s last book was so dang good! Also this book was also chosen by Reese Witherspoon’s book club AND she’s turning it into a series…so you *know* it’s a hit.

I also chose the thriller because it had pretty decent reviews and sounded like a plot I haven’t seen done before.

That’s the only book I am interested in this month. Might just grab it up.

I just checked out their New Crime section and YA! My daughter received Enchantee from Litjoy crate and I am reading it now. It is pretty good! I also have The Gilded Wolves for free from good reads. I will check out the rest later and make my selection.

I have been waiting for daisy jones and the six so that was a super easy pick! I also added on Enchantee from last months first young adult BOTM picks.

I picked the same book! It looks good. I also added Anthony Bourdain’s book. 🙂

I’ve been disappointed a lot with the selections in the past few months. I usually get 3 books at a time but this month, I had to almost force myself to order one. I hope the choices improve soon.

This will be the first time in three years that I skip. Ugh!

I’m skipping this month. I haven’t gotten a book I really liked through botm since calypso. Nearly all over rated 3 star or 2 star. Hope they have some better choices coming…
