Bullymake Box is a monthly subscription box for power chewers. You all have heard about (and seen) some of Nyx’s exploits with plush toys from dog subscription boxes so when I heard about this one, I had to sign up immediately. Nyx is definitely a power chewer! You pick your dog’s weight in 10-pound increments so this is a box for an 80-pound dog (Nyx weighs about 86 right now).
My Subscription Addiction paid for this subscription. (Check out the review process post to learn more about how we review boxes.)
About Bullymake Box
The Subscription Box: Bullymake Box
The Cost: $39 a month (save with 3, 6, and 12-month subscriptions)
The Products: Toys and treats specifically tailored for heavy chewing dogs (no plushes). You can also choose a “toys only” box. Because of Nyx’s dietary issues, I went with the “toys only” box. You can also enter specific allergy information in a box on the checkout screen.

Good to know: if you want a toys-only box, you must select that during sign-up. Otherwise, you will get the default box, which does include some treats.
Bullymake Box February 2019 Review
There was a Valentine’s Day theme this month:
Not all boxes are the same due to the fact that you can choose your dog’s size in 10-pound increments, choose a toys-only box, etc., but there is usually an information card highlighting an item or two from the box.
Bullymake Cupid’s Arrow
This is Bullymake-branded and is not in the Bullymake shop but it is a nylon chew and interestingly, it fits the month’s theme (the extra toys that are subbed in for treats are sometimes kind of random, which is fine as Nyx doesn’t care about themes). Anyway, Nyx lives for these nylon chews and she is a fan of this one as well.
Bullymake Cupcake – Listed Value $18
This is not yet available in the Bullymake Shop but it may be at some point in the future. One of the two featured toys each month is a rubber toy (kind of KONG style, with a hollow inside and two holes so you can put in treats but avoid suction problems). Nyx likes these best if I put peanut butter inside so that is what I’ve been doing.
Bullymake Cupid’s Heart – Listed Value $18
Here is our second featured toy for the month, a nylon chew that is most likely flavored based on the way it smells to me (kind of candy-like). Nyx thought it was great but she chose one part of one edge to chew repeatedly until she caused serious damage (this took several play sessions and she was intensely focused). Anyway, this is of average durability for a Bullymake nylon chew for Nyx.
Bullymake 3-Knot Rope Toy
These are not in the Bullymake Shop (we received a Bullymake branded rope last month as well, with a different shape). But I would call them of average durability for rope toys, keeping in mind that Nyx is particularly destructive of such things. You probably won’t see the rope toys unless you have the “toys only” box. This is just long enough that it is suitable for playing tug, though Nyx also likes just chewing on it.
Here are a few shots of Nyx with the heart toy. These nylon chews are the highlight of her month.
Verdict: I couldn’t calculate a total value for the February 2019 Bullymake Box because none of the items were available in their shop (some may appear later, especially this month’s featured toys) and there’s really nowhere else to get them since they were all Bullymake branded. But, Nyx liked everything and everything was durable and I know that durable toys for large, heavy chewers are expensive, so I feel like this box is a good deal for us. (Of course, every dog’s chew style is different.)
Note: if you want a toys-only box, you must select that during sign-up. Otherwise, you will get the default box, which does include some treats.
To Wrap Up:
Can you still get this box if you sign up today? No, your first shipment would be March’s. You can sometimes buy some of the exclusive toys at the Bullymake Shop if something catches your eye (this month’s toys may take a few weeks to get put into the shop). Also, please note there are some box variations here so you may not always receive the same box as Nyx gets, even if you choose the same profile values when you sign up.
Value Breakdown: This box costs $39 + free shipping, which means that each of the 4 items in the box has an average cost of $9.75.
