Busy Bee Stationery February 2019 Review
Each month we are presented with a card that introduces the month's theme. February’s Busy Bee theme is "Love Everywhere!"
Confetti Heart Push Pins
I use push pins a lot to hang up pictures at work or home and get excited about colorful ones. When I saw these, I just adored them! I received 9 pastel pink heart push pins with a gold outline. I was disappointed to not find these online to see if I can get more.
American Crafts Knock Outs Mini Punch, .375 inches
I love punch tools like these. I own several circles of different sizes to make my own gift tags and a snowflake one. But I have never owned one so teeny tiny! It came in a bright pink and though small, is pretty hard to punch. I put a piece of paper to see what size it punched out, as shown in the last image above. I think this is perfect for confetti, should I ever desire to have millions of pieces of paper for something. Either way, it’s a cool inclusion and a great crafting tool to have as I never know what my future holds for projects.
Countryside Flower Floral Pencil Pouch – Retail Value $7.87
Pencil pouches are great when we receive markers or pens with this subscription, so I was pleased to see a pouch in this month’s box. It is sweet, with red flowers all around. It is made of canvas and uses a zipper to keep it closed, protecting the contents inside. The inside of the bag is my favorite, bright pink with polka dots. It's not a real big bag but is just perfect for the 5 markers we received this month.
Fortune Teller Paper
Oh, man! Talk about nostalgic! These were so cool to see. Now, I have an 8-year-old daughter who has seen these at school and has tried making them through YouTube and had to seek my help. So it didn’t take much for me to get going on folding this.
First, corner to corner.
Then corner to another corner to make an “X” in the creases.
Then, I took each corner and folded it to the middle of my “X” crease.
I flipped it over and folded the corners down to the center again.
And voila! An instant fortune teller. I had way too much fun with this! We received 16 pages to create 16 identical fortune tellers.
Sticko Classic Mason Jar Love Stickers – Retail Value $7.70
These are so cute! I love the different mason jar sizes and the designs on each one. This pack has 19 stickers in total. Perfect for scrapbooking!
American Crafts Gold Phrase Stickers
These are perfect for Valentine's day! There are 87 stickers with different phrases, all love and Valentine related: Love, XOXO, Happy Valentine’s Day, Hugs & Kisses just to name a few. Super cute and perfect for Valentine’s day cards.
Galaxy Markers – Get a pack of 5 (different colors) for $9.09
This month’s box included 5 galaxy markers. I received some of these in my September box and I love them. The color is so rich, like paint pens, but they are just regular markers. I got black, red, light pink, glittery pink and white. I was so disappointed to open my box and see the red cap was off, which is why its so dried out in the image where I tested it out above. Either way, I got 4 pretty awesome markers. I hope I get more in future boxes in different colors. I love that the white writes over the black!
Valentine Stickers
So this last item didn’t have a label or anything indicating what they are called or who they are by, and Googling Valentine’s Day Stickers small white box didn’t yield any results that matched my product. When I first opened the box, I was pretty stoked to see that there was an assortment in not only the design but the shapes of the stickers. There are also so many—a total of 38 stickers!!! These will be used to close up Valentine’s day cards at the kid’s school party.
Verdict: Busy Bee is a subscription that sends a lot of materials, tools, and items for crafting projects. Being in the month of love, I was not surprised to receive a lot of Valentine’s Day related items and a lot of things in pink and red. I am excited to prepare some Valentines Day cards for school this year using a lot of our materials in this month’s box.
