My Review
There isn’t a traditional information card or invoice included with the subscription box, but rather a personalized handwritten card with styling suggestions. I really enjoy the personalized and thoughtful touch of this card and the handy styling tips that were included.
Creamsicle Beaded Necklace
This peachy keen layered beaded necklace can add warmth to any outfit. This piece wears almost like a choker on me. The beads are plastic, so this is a light and easy wear necklace to wear. It will look great with a white blouse rust dress pants at the office or can add a dash of cute to an old vintage band shirt/ skinny leg jean combo ensemble.
Lion Medallion Choker Necklace
You will only serve fierce looks with this necklace on. It is made of a gold plated link chain that shows some age and wear and tear, but is still a killer costume jewelry piece. I paired this necklace with a baby pink sweater dress from an upcoming Trunk Club review, but this will add spice to any ensemble!
Black Beaded Purse
This piece is ultra-glamorous but isn’t necessarily for evening wear attire. You could add some glitz to a casual ensemble with the edition of this purse. The bag is big enough to fit essentials like money, cards, cosmetics, etc. The beading creates floral and striped patterns all over the bag. It has a braided cord strap to wear it on the shoulder. I styled the bag with a metallic striped sweater from my recent Trunk Club box and gold booties for an off the charts look!
Black Velvet Cosmetic Bag
I am assuming by the size that this piece would have worked best as a wallet, cosmetic bag, or cigarette case holder. The external is a black velvet like material and the inside is a stunning gold satin. You get an idea of how small this piece is by the pic of me holding it. I intend to use it to hold touch up cosmetics for on the go—how convenient!
Glitzy Gold Sequin Dome Earrings
These may the pieces I was most ecstatic about! I am a fiend for sequin covered clothing and accessories. I recently bought a ton of discounted sequin items recently that I intend to wear all year! Invite me to your wedding and I will look like a disco ball! These clip-on button earrings are so unique! Wear these with a black and gold thread striped blouse and black pencil skirt for some a glamorous workplace look and for post work snacks and drinks! You will be the sensation of the office!
Sequin Danglers
I was excited to see these earrings in this month’s selections as well. The dangling discs are covered in beads and muted gold sequins. The earring backs are vintage screw backs. The bummer about these and something I have never experienced in my lifetime of vintage accessory buying is I couldn’t fit my ear lobe into the clamp screw back. It was designed for the most petite, thin earlobes in existence! So no go on these for me, but I will try to gift these to someone with slender earlobes. I didn’t reach out to Nicole from CHC on these, but she is incredibly accommodating and I know would help me in this scenario like she has in the past.
Verdict: This month definitely had some running themes. I loved the gold sequin dome earrings best and a close second was the lion choker. Consistently, CHC Vintage sends me thoughtful boxes that are obviously hand- picked for me. I always feel like I am in mind each month when I receive a box from them. I appreciate how thoughtful they are and their dedication to detail!
