Cult Pop Box is a brand new subscription celebrating some of our favorite 80’s and 90’s cult classic movies.
Every box will be dedicated to one specific theme, bringing you collectibles, apparel, decor and accessories from amazing independent artists, each paying homage to that month’s movie.
This month spotlights Heathers, the 1988 cult classic that is all about a popular high school clique made up of three Heathers and a Veronica. This movie portrays teen angst and also what it is like dating a sociopath. The “I’m a Veronica” box celebrates this movie’s excellent one-liners and several classic scenes we all love from this groundbreaking film.
My Subscription Addiction paid for this box. (Check out the review process post to learn more about how we review boxes.)

Cult Pop Box Heathers “I’m a Veronica” Box Review
I loved opening up this box to Heather C’s “suicide” note! It provided me with a myriad of laughs.
Cult Pop Box provides an itemized list of products featured in your box, including the artists behind each item and a price for each product. None of the handmade products included are available for purchase online (yet!), but I provided links to the artist’s online stores.
Summon a Heather Ouija Board & Planchette Set by Demonic Pinfestation- Listed Value $30
Greetings and salutations! An Ouija Board is not complete without an accompanied planchette, and this one really connects all the dots! Christian Slater’s character J.D., a sociopath with an inclination to murder, is known for his quick wit and cool (dangerous) vibes. His quotes in this movie, like the one found on the slushie on the planchette, are so iconic, just like his name, James Dean.
My Afterlife is so Boring Enamel Pin by Demonic Pinfestation - Listed Value $13
I love this scene; Veronica is dreaming of Heather C’s afterlife, where she is still definitely not Mother Theresa. I have a slight pin addiction, and Demonic Pinfestation makes killer ones! This pin is massive, too! It measures 2 inches by 2 inches and has three pins at the back to keep this baby secure. Each of their pins is painted by hand, making each one unique.
James Dean T-Shirt by Brett Sailor of Snotty Rockers - Listed Value $28
J.D. is not a rebel; he’s a psychopath! He makes it pretty obvious throughout the movie that he does not like Veronica’s friends! This soft cotton tee is the perfect fit, and the graphic by Brett Sailor includes a portrait of J.D. (played by Christian Slater), bomb and all! I love how unique this design is, and I feel that wearing the red scrunchie with it is contradictory, but chaos is, after all, what killed the dinosaurs.
Big Fun Magnet by Brett Sailor of Snotty Rockers - Listed Value $5
Oh, Martha Dumptruck.. Martha Dunnstock’s infamous t-shirt with “BIG FUN” printed on it only gives the Heathers more fuel to target her in their mean girl games. This bright magnet “isn’t just another example of a geek trying to imitate the popular people at school,” it is BIG FUN, and I can’t wait to display it on my fridge.
Give me the Cup, Jerk! Mug by Brett Sailor of Snotty Rockers - Listed Value $14
I have to say that this is my new favorite mug. “Just give me the cup, jerk!” is the next to last words that come out of Heather C’s mouth (portraying her perfectly), as she drinks the Hull Cleaner that J.D. told her was a passed down hangover cure he concocted. This mug is your standard coffee mug that holds about 8 ounces of liquid comfortably, and her face makes me laugh every time I look at it.
“Hull Clean” Body Wash by Dearg Due Bath & Body - Listed Value $10
Big Blue! I couldn’t help but laugh when I pulled this body wash out of the box. This is how Heather Chandler met her demise; downing drain cleaner with potential phlegm gobbers in it. Dearg Due Bath & Body is an indie brand that makes 100% vegan and cruelty-free products, and this body wash (and its packaging) is awesome! I love the pearly blue color, and the scent, which I can’t quite put my finger on, might just remind me of blue raspberry?
Heather’s Red Scrunchie - Listed Value $3
The infamous red scrunchie of power! The scene where Veronica is burnt to a crisp, grabs Heather Duke, snatches the scrunchie from her hair and says “Heather my love, there’s a new sheriff in town!” and kisses her on the cheek.. Classic! Plus, scrunchies are back, right?
Corn Nuts, 1.7oz - Buy 18 Bags for $17.50
Heather Chandler loved her Corn Nuts, so much that those were her last words? I’d have to agree with her that BQ is the way to go, and I’ve been munching on these all day! You don’t have to be a Heather to appreciate this great snack.
Westerburg High School Sticker - Buy Similar for $2.55 here
Go Rottweilers! Westerburg High School is a main setting of this flick, so it only makes sense to show some school spirit in this box.
Verdict: If I were to judge this month’s Cult Pop Box, it would receive a charismatic “How very!” I thoroughly enjoyed reliving one of my favorite cult classic films through all of these indie products. Everything was so thoughtfully carried out, and I love all the different aspects of the movies that each item represented. Everything was made by independent artists, and you can tell that the curator and craftsman really put thought and effort into this fun, exciting new subscription box! March’s box is going to spotlight the movie Crybaby, another favorite of mine.
