Elevita January 2019 Review

Elevita Subscription Box January 2019 - Elevita Bag Front

Once again, everything arrived in this lovely cotton drawstring bag! Such a nice bonus!

Elevita Subscription Box January 2019 - Elevita Booklet Open Top

This is the letter I received in my package this month, detailing the contents. I especially appreciate the detail it provides about the artisans who created this month's handicrafts. It gives it such a special, personal touch!

Wow, these are really intricate handmade placemats! They are so unique! They're a good size for their purpose, too. I just wish there was some information on the letter about what they are made of. These were created by artisan Nina Mena in the Philippines as a means of earning money to send her grandchildren to school.

Louela Nalzaro is an artisan in the Philippines who creates jewelry, and we seem to get something from her almost every month. I am not complaining, though, because this month's necklace is awesome! I love the elephant bead, it is so unique! I also really like the gunmetal color. She is a single mother who uses her work for Elevita to support her family.

I really love the colors of this little bag! The gold embroidery is just gorgeous! This is the perfect size for phone/keys/wallet, the magic triad, with a little room leftover for lipstick and maybe even sunglasses. It's awesome! This was handmade by artisan Sok Chan, a single, wheelchair-bound mother of two boys. I love that she is able to support them with her work.

The Verdict: Elevita is awesome! I really appreciate everything they do to help global artisans, and I love feeling like I'm apart of that. This month's items were all great! I can't often find values for the items Elevita sends, but I always feel like the value far outstrips the cost of the box. $30 for these lovely items is a steal!

To Wrap Up:

Can you still get this box if you sign up today? No, Sign up by the 18th to get the current month's box.

Value Breakdown: This box cost me $30 with free shipping, which means that each of the 3 items in the box has an average cost of $10.
