Fallout Crate is one of Loot Crate gamer-themed geek boxes. This is a bi-monthly delivery that promises $65+ value of collectibles and gear co-developed with Bethesda - and always an exclusive figure from the exclusive Fallout Crate figure series.

This arrived late! This crate was delayed by around a month (we received it mid-January). They now have this handy-dandy shipping status page to help track down what’s happening across crates.

My Subscription Addiction pays for this subscription. (Check out the review process post to learn more about how we review boxes).

I think these are my favorite items in the box - mini nuke salt and pepper shakers. The design is great and I like that they screw and unscrew to replace your salt and pepper.

Liberty Prime Build A Figure Torso - Value $5?

Since they've completed the build-a-figure a few boxes ago, they've been sending out a few variant items. This one is a new torso - you can mix and match these pieces to build out your figure as you see fit.

Fallout Crate #7 Nuked January 2019 - Fallout 4 Man Scale Replica 23

Fallout 4 Fat Man Scale Replica - Value $20?

This month, we didn't get a little vinyl figure - instead, they've included a mini replica of the Fat Man gun from the game. While these do look pretty cool and have good detail, I think I prefer the figures.

Verdict: This was a bit of a change up from what I've been used to receiving from this crate - no shirt/wearable or vinyl figure - and I don't think it was for the better. As always, all Loot Crates come with a disclaimer that there's a real possiblity that it'll ship late - so you'll need to be ok with that possibility when signing up.

To Wrap Up:

Can you still get this box if you sign up today? No. You'll see the currently available theme on the landing page.

I’m very glad MSA is noting the lateness of Loot Crate goods in their reviews now, but the shipping status page you’ve listed is their very much junk one that has the times that they’re supposed to be delivered rather than whether they’re “on time” or (more likely) how late each franchise actually is. On reflection this is also pretty much a junk page, since even with its “updates” (and those quote marks are not a mistake) they’re still including the Star Trek crate, which they’ve cancelled, and the Firefly crate, for which they continually stall and even dropped a substitute crate of old (non-Firefly) inventory on customers instead of the actual sub of Firefly items for one of the months they’ve now pushed off the schedule, and haven’t bothered to update for the box they billed in December.

Sooo, after the rant, onto this Fallout box. No t-shirt or vinyl? Those items, while not bad in themselves (the condiments are very cute) would be nowhere near worth US$65+. While it’s interesting to read the review and see what comes out each time they finally come out, I am SO glad I didn’t surrender to the temptation to sub that I had when the franchise was first announced. Bitten so badly on Firefly, forever shy on anything else Loot Crate will ever come up with again.
