Harry’s is a subscription box service focused on providing quality razors and grooming supplies at a low price! They manufacture and ship all products directly from their factory based in Germany straight to your door. While they also offer a non-subscription based razor for women (Flamingo), I thought I'd try their male-targeted razor since I'm always hearing how men's razors are "better" somehow.
If you're curious how this one stacks up to other shaving subscriptions, check out our post where we compare Dollar Shave Club, Harry's, and Billie here.
My Subscription Addiction paid for this box. (Check out the review process post to learn more about how we review boxes.)

Harry's Razor Review
When you first sign up, you'll get to choose the color of your handle (which is called "The Truman"). I chose Nautilus Blue.
Next, it will ask you what type of refill package you'll want.
The last option deals with how often your refills will come, based on how often you shave. Here, Harry's obviously caters to men by showing graphics of beards. What I recently found out is that they are the ones behind the newish women's razor, Flamingo, which isn't a subscription, but I'll be reviewing very soon! Don't you worry...
Everything comes in a nicely designed resealable bag that has more man-graphics on the front and a quick overview of how Harry's works.
There is also a welcome card.
And some tips for a smooth shave.
Let's see what arrived!
The razor comes packaged very nicely in a box that slides out.
Designed in the US, but German engineered.
The handle has a nice rubberized grip on it and the weight is in between the heaviness of Dollar Shave Club's metal handle and Billie's light plastic handle. I really like the color I chose too!
On the underside of the handle, there are some dimples for extra grip.
Their razors come standard with five blades and a little lotion strip.
I found this razor to be incredibly sharp and although I was a little afraid I'd cut myself, I didn't. It did a really great job shaving my legs and left them extremely smooth. I had no trouble navigating the curvatures of my ankles or underarms either. A really great shave with a nice grip and comfortable weight.
My razor came assembled, but there's a card to show you how to remove your blade when you need to replace it.
Boom- it's that easy.
They also include a travel case to protect your razor, sort of like a toothbrush cover.
The underside is clear and has some slits to help it breathe so it doesn't get too moist if you have to put it away wet.
There is even their little Wooly Mammoth mascot on the inside if you look closely.
Here it is on the razor. Very handsome!
And the underside.
Also included in the starter kit is a small travel size bottle of their Shave Gel which contains aloe.
It comes out as a gel but immediately turns into a foam. A little bit goes a LONG way, but I'm not in love with the way it smells. It reminds me of my Dad's shaving cream as a kid. Sort of a manly menthol scent. It did a great job keeping my legs slippery and smooth though.
Verdict: While Harry's is clearly marketed to men, I had a positive experience using their razor. I don't think I'd get their shave gel again simply because I don't care for the scent, but did find it to be a good product overall. Depending on the amount you buy at a time and if you sign up for auto-refills, their razors can cost as little as $1.88/each or as much as $2.25/each. That's on-par with Bille's and Dollar Shave Club's blade prices which are also $2.25/each (although DSC discounts based on your refill plans and can be as cheap as $2.03/each).
To Wrap Up:
Can you still get this box if you sign up today? Yes! This starter set is still available to try for just $8.00 + tax.
Value Breakdown: At $13.00 for this box, I received a handle, 5-blade razor, travel cover, and a 2 oz. travel-size shave gel.
