Mighty Fix February 2018 info card front

Mighty Fix February 2018 infor card back

Each box includes an info card telling you about the featured item and how what they chose to send you helps your house be “greener,” and you be “healthier”! This month’s featured item is a set of two e-cloths. The back of the card has information on the product.

Window Cleaning-e-cloth

Window Cleaning-e-cloth – Retail Value $14.99

I received a pack of two e-cloths. The large window cloth with the waffle-weave is meant to be used first just use water, wring out and use the damp window cloth to clean my windows and mirrors inside and out as well my vehicle windows. The dimensions are 15.5"x15.5". The glass and polishing cloth is used after cleaning with the window cloth for the perfect finish. The e-cloth provides a streak-free, lint-free finish without the use of chemical cleansers. The dimensions are 20"x16". If the glass and polishing cloth gets too wet it won’t achieve that streak-free finish. The e-cloth is made of 75% polyester and 20% polyamide and made in Vietnam. To care for my e-cloth rinse with hot water between uses, machine wash in hot water, tumble dry or hang dry, and for a full clean, if cloth loses its performance boil cloth in the pot for ten minutes. I opted to clean my friend’s very dirty car window and oh my word the e -cloths worked beautifully. I used a damp window cloth and it removed all of the dirt quickly and thoroughly. Then I wiped the damp window with the glass and polishing cloth. The polishing cloth made the window sparkle with no streaks or residue. This product is amazing, effective, and environmentally friendly. Bye Bye, paper towels and ammonia-based cleaners.

Here are the glass and polishing cloth, that I use to finish the cleaning process after wiping the glass with the window cloth.

Here is the window cloth that I use the waffle weave side that I wet with water and wring out and wipe window. This cloth is the first step in the cleaning process.

Here’s instruction on how to care for my e-cloths.

Here are the usage instructions for the e-cloths.

Here’s a list of their products and their address, phone number, email, and website.

Here’s a close-up of the texture of the e-cloths. The window cloth is more of a lime, pale turquoise color, which was hard to capture in my photo.

Verdict: I’m amazed how Mighty Fix continues bringing items to my home that allows me to continue to live sustainably. I get excited each month and I am always pleased with what I receive. These e-cloths are the product I was missing and I’m amazed at how beneficial they have become. I can now ditch the paper towels. Also, readers have mentioned in previous reviews that they already received a product I was reviewing. The $14.99 covers the cost of this subscription, but I receive quality products for $10.00 each month, which is a good deal.

I received this as my Fix a few months ago. Honestly, I was immediately turned off by the statement, “Join the chemical-free cleaning movement!” Maybe I’m being pedantic but…water is a chemical! Don’t get me wrong, I love Mighty Fix and I’m all about reusable products, but so many companies use this kind of propaganda to capitalize on the “all-natural” or “zero waste” movements, and it’s really unnecessary. I haven’t bought paper towels in well over a year. Like, use almost any old towel and a diluted vinegar solution to clean glass. No need to have “special” $15 towels.

I’m so glad I’m not alone on the “chemical-free” thing! EVERYTHING is a chemical!

I didn’t even think to use this on my car windows. Great idea.
I’ve subbed for two years to Mighty Fix. I didn’t want to cancel as I use probably 11 items of the 12 they send every year so I opted to skip a month. I still wanted a break and I noticed they have an option to take a break for a few months (you get to choose how many). I am now taking a 3 month break. This really is a great sub.
