Monthly Box of Food and Snacks is a new monthly snack box from thatdailydeal.com:
Get an assortment of delicious, brand name snacks and food delivered to straight to your doorstep every month for one low price! Almost everything you receive will be full sized items with well know brand names. Includes a variety of snacks from granola bars, chips, cereals, etc. A lot will even be organic! Please note, this box is an insanely good deal, so some best by dates could be just passed or about to pass or they could even have a year left on them. If you are a frugal shopper you understand that best by dates are arbitrary and the packaged foods we will be sending are perfectly fine after the best by dates. Items that could potentially melt will only be included in the cooler months. You may receive multiples of some items, but we will always send a good variety each month.
Some things to consider: Have a big family to feed? Feel free to order multiples, but keep in mind that it might result in doubling up on the exact same products or you could get completely different products. It will vary from month to month. Received something you aren’t interested in? Give back to your community by donating the unwanted items. Have someone you want to send a care package to like a student in college or a grandparent? Let us do the work for you by shipping this box directly to them!
Each box has a huge variety for all sorts of snack preference: sweet, salty (or both), spicy or healthy.

Our February 2019 Review
I thought this was pretty cool to receive in the box: a recipe card. We received a lot of Hershey’s Gold bars in this month’s box and just enough to make this recipe (assuming 24 gold bars are individual pieces). It would be cool to get more recipe cards in future boxes.
Canadian Farm Organic Maple Brown Sugar Granola, 15 oz – Retail Value $5.84
230 Calories │ 5g Fat│ 44g Carbs │ 5g Protein (per 2/3 cup) – Expired February 3, 2019
I am excited to get granola in my snack box; its perfect for toppings on my morning yogurt. I’ve not yet opened this box as I still have some left, but I will get into it soon. I definitely won’t eat a whole serving, either, it is pretty high in calories and carbs, but a little won’t hurt. I also love that this box sends a lot of organic snacks.
Peanut Butter Marshmallow Chewy Snack Bars (6), .84 oz – Buy a box of 24 for $4.98 (found here for $2.75)
100 Calories │ 2.5g Fat│ 18g Carbs │ 2g Protein – Expiration Unknown (Not printed on individual bars but on the box)
Chewy bars are a hit with my kids, they make such a great after school snack! These are the perfect size, peanut butter flavor with tiny little marshmallows within. They were also gone in a flash, so I definitely see us buying more in the future!
AdvoBar Fruit and Nut Bar Cranberry Orange (6), 1.5 oz – Buy a box of 12 for $34.95
190 Calories │ 11g Fat│ 16g Carbs │ 8g Protein – Expires January 2019
Right away I thought how pretty this packaging is, it’s a real eye catcher! Its also has a good amount of protein and low sugar which is always appreciated in a snack. When I opened it, I immediately was hit with a citrus scent. When I bit into it, I was so overwhelmed with the orange flavor, it was just too much for me. My family felt the same. This is just not a snack for us. Off to the employee snack room, these go!
Hershey’s Gold Peanuts & Pretzels Candy Bars (5), 1.4 oz – Total Retail Value $4.45 ($0.89 each)
220 Calories │ 14g Fat│ 22g Carbs │ 3g Protein – Expired December 2018
We got so many of these! I have never tried this particular kind of Hershey’s candy, and honestly, have never had the urge to try them, so biting into it I was a little nervous. It really wasn’t that yummy or appealing to me, it tasted like salted peanut butter, and a lot like the peanut butter in a Reese’s. But, like with most snacks and pretty much all candies, this is a hit with the kids.
Reese’s Peanut Butter Eggs King Size Candy (4). 2.4 oz – Total Retail Value $7.96 ($1.99 each)
350 Calories │ 21g Fat│ 37g Carbs │ 8g Protein – Expired January 2019
Is it Easter already?! I know it isn’t far and also know these are a timeless favorite for a lot of people, and the Easter bunny when he packs his baskets. We get a lot of Reese’s candies or snacks with this subscription, or at least my household box does. I am not sure if I mentioned it previously, but I really burnt myself out of Reese’s after eating it so much during my second pregnancy. It is weird that this was once such a beloved snack and now I hate the thought of them, especially since I am getting so much of them! I will be saving these, though, for Easter treats for baskets I will pack for the kids teachers. I received just the right amount!
Jalapeno Lime Tortilla Chips (3), 1 oz – Buy a 2.5 oz Bag for $1.69
130 Calories │ 7g Fat│ 17g Carbs │ 2g Protein – Expires March 2, 2019
Chips are always an easy after school snack or an addition to lunch pails. When I opened these to try them, they smelled pretty good! The taste reminded me of the Cool Ranch Doritos and really didn’t pack a jalapeno punch. My husband also took a bag to work and said his were stale. I didn’t think mine were, but it may just be the way the chip is made since they are organic. I don’t know if we will get these again, though, but they were a good inclusion.
Bacon Habanero Tortilla Chips (2), 1 oz – Buy a 2.25 oz Bag for $1.69
130 Calories │ 7g Fat│ 17g Carbs │ 1g Protein – Expires February 9, 2019
I was hoping since the jalapeno chips weren’t spicy that these would be since they are habanero and was totally curious to the flavor. As soon as I tasted them, I was hit with a BBQ chip flavor. There was some spice, but not much. Like the others, not a snack I would get again, but I am happy I was able to try these out.
Pretzel Crisps Garlic Parmesan, 3 oz – Buy a 7.2 oz Bag for $2.14
110 Calories │ 1.5g Fat│ 22g Carbs │ 2g Protein (per 10 crackers) – Expires October 19, 2019
I won’t lie, I wasn’t excited about this snack. I am not a fan or pretzel crisps and really think the pretzel should be left alone, nice and fluffy. These are a great snack for my husband though, so I will leave these to him. These are the kind of snacks whose calories will sneak up on you, though, since the above info is per every 10 crackers, so snack smart!
Wholey Cheese Smoked Gouda Baked Crackers (2), 1.75 oz – Buy a 5 oz Bag for $2.98
230 Calories │ 9g Fat│ 35g Carbs │ 3g Protein – Expires February 22, 2019
I have never seen these before and, as a lover of Cheese Its, was really excited to try them. The picture of them on the front of the packaging made them even more appealing – they look like real cheese! They did not disappoint! They are full of intense flavor and pairs well with the beef sticks we got (see below).
Annie’s Organic Crispy Snack Bar (5), .78 oz – Buy a Box of (5) 3.9 oz Bars for $3.49
80 Calories │ 1.5g Fat│ 17g Carbs │ <1g Protein – Expired February 3, 2019
I love, love, love rice crispy bars and used to mix them with my chocolate pudding cups as a kid at lunch. I have never tried Annie’s organic bars before but they were pretty good. Not as sweet as a rice crispy bar but just as delicious.
Krave Bar Wild Blueberry Beef with Fruit and Quinoa Bar (2), 1.25 oz – Total Retail Value $6.38 ($3.19 each)
110 Calories │ 3.5g Fat│ 12g Carbs │ 8g Protein – Expires February 10, 2019
Food can be intimidating. Beef jerky, a snack I love and cherish for its delicious beefy flavor, is so good on its own. But jerky, with wild blueberry and quinoa? Intimidating. But I went in with an open mind and tried this. First a few nibbles then a bite. It wasn’t that bad, but it has a flavor I cannot place. The blueberry isn’t pronounced (which I am grateful for) but it's not exactly meaty. I would probably try this again if I crave a healthy snack and if beef jerky isn’t available.
TGI Friday’s Cheddar Cheese Jalapeno Poppers, 2.25 oz – Unknown Value
140 Calories │ 8g Fat│ 16g Carbs │ 2g Protein (per 1 oz, about 20 chips)– Expires November 15, 2019
As soon as this was unboxed both my husband and my son wanted to try them. They were pretty good and definitely delivered on the jalapeno flavor but were lacking a cheesy flavor. The entire bag is gone now so it was a win in our home. Unfortunately, I was unable to find these online.
Jack Links Original Beef Sticks (10), 3.5 oz – Retail Value $2.98
130 Calories │ 11g Fat│ 2g Carbs │ 6g Protein – Expired February 4, 2019
I got these in my December box and was happy to get them again. They are a great quick snack with a good amount of protein. I also love how the box serves as a little holder for them so they stand in the pantry.
Verdict: Monthly Box of Food and Snack, or Snack With Me, is a loved subscription in my home. As soon as the kids come home from school, their first words are “What’s for dinner. I need a snack!” My husband also stocks up on snacks for the work day and I grab one as I am leaving in the morning for my long commute. This box is perfect for us since we are all big snackers. My favorite thing about this month were all the bars we got, Chewy Bars, the beef sticks, Crispy Rice bars and individual bags of chips. The best snack in the whole box is tied with the Chewy Bars and the Smoked Gouda.
