I received my missing 10 items today 4/9/19 and I am not impressed.

I received my missing items too. I only counted 9 as I didn’t count the oils separately. I received the same items as you except I received a small essential oil bag instead of the Marrakesh item. I would prefer the Marrakesh item. I love the smell. I am super disappointed in that Shine Book. It’s literally a bunch of colored papers with a few phrases here and there. I’m trashing it. I’m not reaching out to CS. Just chalking this one as a loss and a lesson learned. When I put all my items out on the table I’d say it’s not worth over $100. Over-inflated rvs.

I ordered 3 boxes. One was for a friend. My friend was not impressed with her Mega Box.

I ordered 2 Mega Boxes for myself. Box 1 had a diffuser I could buy at Walmart for $14.99, a toiletries bag ( for men)

Box 2 never arrived; I was however charged. I have been communicating with them for the last few days. They want a picture of the contents of Box 1. The 2 email address did not exist.

I have to say I was (am) disappointed with Bombay and Cedar. Whenever I try a new sub I always read the reviews on MSA. Everyone loves the sub not the Mystery Boxes.

After they sent me a new mega box since they originally sent me a 2nd March box…I got the men’s box minus essential oil and diffuser. Plus a rewrapped November box.

I get it’s a mystery box but when ordering from a women’s lifestyle box I expect women’s products. Very pissed and upset. Plus it wasn’t even close to 26 items.

I’m also upset that 5/16 items I received were men’s items. I’m hoping the 10+ items they eventually send will not be mens.

I emailed them asking for tracking and they said it was shipping tomorrow. It shipped two days later. You may have to push. If I hadn’t emailed them I don’t think they would have shipped my items. I received my missing items and they were nothing exciting.

I have NOT gotten a shipping notice, and I was last contacted by them on the 26th of March. We’re coming up on two weeks that they have yet to correct their mistake for me. HORRIBLE customer service.

I agree – this has been horrible customer service. I still have not heard anything from them since the 26th either when they told me that they would send my missing items, but that they would not replace the damaged item I received. Everyone seemed to like the monthly boxes and I thought this would be a good way to test the company… I’m not impressed.

I finally got my box and I don’t love it, it feels (is) way more manly than I would have wanted. It is worth what they said it would be and I received 20 items. I would not order again just because there is too much risk. With that being said, it’s not their fault I don’t like it, someone else may have very well loved it.
I received the last Men’s box, minus the diffuser and the oils, and also the whole Relax, Heal, Cleanse box. Plus tooth and gum tonic, a spot treatment, a sample cleanser, a candle and oil bottle holder.

Did you all get March with your mystery box? Got my mystery box today, but no March. Explosions everywhere. Half the stuff was covered in conditioner, the other in some brownish liquid. I got half the men’s box and most of the other special edition box. I bought my husband the men’s box for Christmas and the one item from that box I would’ve loved as a repeat, the diffuser, I didn’t get. Bummer 🙁 but my oil bag was in plastic and is fine.

Why are mystery boxes always such a hot mess? Has anyone had any GOOD experiences with mystery boxes? Sheesh, this is like my second or third and I think I’m done with them.

Based on these comments, I must have lucked out big time because my mega box arrived on Monday and it’s AMAZING. I pretty much love everything. I received 21 items total (though one was the completely flattened bag of chips, but I’m okay with that since they still look tasty.) I know mystery boxes can be hit-or-miss so I’m grateful the stars aligned.

I know! All these sad people, I still don’t have mine, but I’m getting worried. This wasn’t a cheap box because I got the mega! So I will be pretty sad if it doesn’t look good. However I know mystery boxes can be hit or miss, so as long as they send what was promised I can’t really be mad…but you know, I would like to receive it some day soon, lol.

You definitely lucked out. I received mine Monday and was missing at least 10 items. I noticed more so people who purchased the mega along with another one like the petite were shorted. Like we wouldn’t notice. I contacted customer service after looking through my doorbell camera and seeing an entirely too small box for my mega and petite order. And I was correct. They sent me Deluxe and petite. Congrats on getting what you ordered.

I am a suscriber to Bombay and Cedar. Today I got my MArch box and then a separate large box which I assumed was FINALLY my mega box.

Apparently I paid $75 for another MArch box as that was all that was in there. THE EXACT SAME ITEMS.

Needless to say, I’m pissed!

They severely screwed up my order. I ordered a petite AND mega box with the code for no duplicates. I received only 16 of my 26 items at a value of only $303 out of the promised “over $310” (configured number of items and value of mystery boxes combined).

B&C argued that I had received well over the $310 already but that they’d still send 10 additional items, not even glancing at the list of received items I had added to the email with listed retail value and which B&C box they came from.

Also NO mention of the fact that I used the code to guarantee no duplicate items, so when they ship the 10 additional items I need them to ensure they are new ones as indicated in my original order.

If Bombay & Cedar doesn’t resolve this issue by sending 10 new, non-duplicate items I will be royally pissed.

Does anyone have suggestions on brewing the tea if you didn’t get the teapot? Do I need to invest in a tea ball or is there another way to use it? I’m not much of a tea drinker, but I’d like to give it a try.

Very disappointed with my box. I have ordered Mega and received a pile of junk ( some look like a dollar store merchandise or marketing freebies).
The only item that I like, a diffuser, arrived damaged. I have e-mailed
Their CS three times to send the replacement and no response
from them. I don’t think I will ever purchase Bombay and Cedar boxes again.

Did you not get items that were in previous boxes? Everything I got was in a previous box so I could find the values in MSA reviews.

I’m pretty disappointed in the response I received from them. I was both missing items and received a damaged item. While they did say they will send the missing items, they told me that my damaged item (a candle with deep gouge marks like someone stabbed sections out) wasn’t damaged.

Got my Mega box yesterday and I’m pleased with it! One item, a glass vial of Spot Treatment broke in the box and everything smells very strongly of stinky herbal scent and a few things have grease spots on their boxes, but nothing too bad. I got 20 items, including the broken one, and the total is $325, not counting the broken item or the “crumber.”

I’m pretty disappointed, I ordered the mega box and am missing items and at least 1 item is damaged. I only got 16 items instead of 20… including the relax.heal.cleanse box (the entire box in my mystery box)… I’ll have to look if the others are damaged or arrived as intended by looking up the items before contacting customer service… items looking like they were sealed but opened and used…

I received my box today and did not receive all my items. I ordered the Mega and Petite and received the Deluxe and Petite box. Emailed CS and they are sending me 10+ additional items. So fingers crossed. I selected not to receive duplicates so not sure if they will keep to that.

I bought the petite mystery box (6+ items for $29.95 worth “over $60”) and the mega mystery box (20+ items for $74.95 worth “over $250”). I’m disappointed in my items, especially because FIVE ITEMS were from the MEN’S BOX. The most expensive being a men’s toiletry bag for $50 that my fiance doesn’t like and won’t use. Disappointed, but technically the items were worth $3 more than the promised. Just sucks that so many of my items (and value!!!) were from the men’s box.

Yes contact them. They did the same thing to me. They sent me a Deluxe plus a petite box instead of the mega and petite. Since it is happening to more than just me I wonder if it’s not an accident.

I just realized my value is not actually meeting the $310 because, as CS pointed out to me, the toiletry bag was actually only $39.99. They said that “The bag actually retails for $39 and even without the bag your retail value will be well over $310.” I’m assuming she says it will be well over $310 when the 10 additional items are sent.

I sent a follow up email telling the CS lady about the code to ensure NO DUPLICATES and that I expect my 10 additional items not to be duplicates, since that is how it was originally advertised and ordered. We will see if they remedy the situation.

It’s such a shame because if these boxes went well I was seriously considering switching from FFF to Bombay & Cedar.

I just saw mine delivered through my doorbell camera and I am concerned to the size of the box. It’s small enough it could be carried in his bag (he walks) and he picked it up by pinching it with one hand. LOL Seems trivial but i ordered the Mega and the petite box and by the size of the box it looks like a petite order. Hmm… concerned. Anyone else get a small box for the mega box?

I received mine and while not “wowed” they did do as promised – here is what I received, 20 items totaling $350. I estimated worth 25% of retail so $87.50.. just my personal belief based on sales like PSMH. Do not care for many of the items but guess that is the risk with a mystery box!!

My box came today; I got two mega boxes. I was excited to look through the big box, but for the most part I was disappointed. A liquid cleanser leaked all over everything. Many of the boxes were crushed or torn. I got a bag of chips that was smashed flat. And a sample packet of cream that I guess got counted as one item. Most of the things that are still in good shape are going up for swap. Well, I guess I learned my lesson. :/

Mine was the exact same except I got an oxygen cleaner bubble mask instead of the clay mask.

Overall, I am happy with what I got for the price. At the same time, this helped me decide against a regular subscription to Bombay & Cedar. While this was fine for $30, it didn’t impress me enough to want to spend $50 with the company every month.

Update – I actually received 16 out of the promised 26+ items, and the retail value for what I received was $303. Sooooooooo B&C messed up big time, because this has happened to many others. Count your blessings for being pleased and getting well over the promised value!

I just got an email from them saying there is a batch that didn’t go out properly (I forget the exact wording) but they are fixing it. So after I emailed them and got a response that they were in route, she checked again a day later and emailed me again. So even though I’m not thrilled it’ll be even later, at least they looked into it again knowing that sometimes things happen and stuff needs to get fixed. They really do have great customer service.

I wonder if mine is having that problem too. I ordered a mega box, and it “shipped” on the 20th, but apparently USPS still doesn’t even have it. It’s had the same waiting for package notification since the 20th. It’s even more annoying that it’s in Atlanta, which means my box is literally only an hour and 30 minutes away from me. I’m starting to get annoyed because they didn’t even ship it on the 20th they just made the label… I’m not sure if I should say anything

Probably, they said there was a whole batch of them. Mine still hasn’t moved though. Not sure if they are having another problem or if it just hasn’t moved because it was a Saturday when they figured it out. I’m going to check again on Monday, and if it’s not moving, to be honest, I’ll probably ask for a refund too, like Jennifer.

The more I thought about it, the more irritated I was, to be honest. I realize it was probably just a mistake, but they sent these out on the last day of the date range they gave us.
I don’t know, I am sort of getting tired of these sub box companies sending boxes out really late. Why is it so hard for them to be on time? 🤷
