February 2019 BuddhiBox Yoga Box Review
BuddhiBox always includes a card with a mantra or saying on it. On the reverse is this month's item list. Most of the products they include are cruelty-free, organic, vegan, or more than one!
Also included this month is a yoga pose card.
‘Uplift’ Essential Oil Blend – Retail Value $8.95, Listed Value $10.00
I also received this oil in the February BuddhiBox Essential Oil Box and while I normally am not thrilled at dupes within different boxes of the same company, I really adore this oil so it is ok by me to get another. It is a bright mix of bergamot, lemon, orange, lime, tangerine, mandarine, and lemongrass and it smells beautifully warm and summery in my diffuser.
Crystal Clean Skincare Green Smoothie Mask - Retail Value $16.00
This powder mask is made of emerald crystals (!!!), kale, and wheatgrass. You can mix it with your favorite oil or some water for a super refreshing mask that leaves your skin dewy and noticeably less red, at least in my case! Unlike clay masks, I found this one to not be super drying, which is a plus in my book. I don't normally love a powder mask that I have to mix because they can be rather messy, but this one was worth the extra work.
Toe Talk Namaste Grip Socks - Retail Value $12.00
This is the second month in a row with grippy yoga socks and I am here for it! Yoga in the winter is a cold time for naked toes! These are sleek and black, featuring a Namaste design. They are lightweight but warm, and the grips make them perfect for a cold season class.
Masigi Pulling Oil Packets – Estimated Value $4.00 (Buy 14 packets here for $28.00)
This ancient Ayurvedic practice has become super trendy recently, and for good reason. Oil pulling is said to help whiten teeth, promote gum and overall oral health, clear sinuses, and freshen breath. This twin pack is the perfect way to give it a try. The orange pack is flavored with grapefruit, cinnamon, and ginger essential oils, while the green is minty. I swished these coconut oil blends in my mouth for 5 minutes at a time and my mouth did feel super minty and fresh after. I can't speak to the long term benefits, but the practice does fascinate me.
Entyze Rose Hydrating Facial Mist, 1 fl oz - Retail Value $9.99
I love facial mists for a few different reasons. They are refreshing (especially when stored in the fridge in the summer), smell great, make wonderful toners, and extend the life of your more expensive skincare creams when used right before you apply them. This one smells like pure roses and is full of calming rose essense. It also contains willow bark which is great for purifying pores.
Kiss My Honey Coconut Lip Balm - Retail Value $4.99
I have gotten this before in another box, and though I don't favor coconut scents, I can't deny that this lip balm is very nourishing! It is a blend of beeswax and coconut oil and really leaves your lips feeling soft and hydrated.
Healing Stones Trio - Listed Value $16.00
Yaaaaas, give me all the stones and crystals! I think this trio is so so pretty. The shades of cream and green are really striking and lovely. Adventurine is known for creating ways to opportunity and makes a great specimen for your desk or wherever you feel super productive. Rose quartz is the stone of unconditional love, and is said to have a calming quality and vibration. Green moss agate is thought to empower fresh starts, something especially neat to have on hand as we transition into spring.
The Verdict: BuddhiBox Yoga Box was very nice this month. Every single item was nicely curated and thoughtful. I loved the chance to try out oil pulling, and didn't at all mind an essential oil repeat as it is a really great blend. The rose face mask is super refreshing and smells like pure roses. Lip balm is always a welcome addition to any box, as I tend to stash them all over my desk, car, room, everywhere! The toe socks will get immediate use at my next class and I always love adding to my crystal collection. The green mask is unlike any mask I currently own, so I am pleased to receive it. This box has a retail value of around $72.98 which is good for a $35 box.
To Wrap Up:
Can you still get this box if you sign up today? No, you will receive the March box. Order by the 8th of the month to receive that month's box.
Value Breakdown: This box costs $34.95 + $5 shipping, which means that each of the 7 items in the box (not including the drawstring pouch) has an average cost of $5.71.
