Well I just received my Cosmo box today. It looks like a overpriced box that I would pay $21 for including shipping. Actually some of those $21 dollar boxes have a better value. I never comment on boxes. I don’t always love them but I have never felt so ripped off before. I can’t access my account to cancel so will have to figure out how to indirectly do so. The spoilers were deceiving too. Showed 8oz shampoo and received 1.7 oz size. Very deceiving!!! I like the necklace and pillow spray. The rest such tiny little samples.

Forgot to mention…the panty kit code has a $6.99 Shipping and Handling fee. ships to US only

Their website has a banner with, “FREE U.S. SHIPPING ON ALL ORDERS”, until you go to checkout with the code given and it adds on the $6.99 shipping. Since the coupon card included in the box says in small print at the bottom that shipping is $6.99, I guess it’s technically not false advertisement. However, I think it’s a really tacky way to go about including something in a box. Personally, I’m not going to pay $7 shipping for something I don’t want anyways just to try to get my value out of a pretty underwhelming box.

I got my Cosmobox today. The R+Co products are 50ml travel sizes, the PhC hemp tincture is a 5ml sample size, the socks are thick and as pictured. The panty kit is a code to order from the brand’s site. I also received a 3 Sisters & A Chick Linen Spray MSRP on the card $6. The Laritzy is as pictured and the necklace is cute enough, would be nice alone or layered with others. It’s an alright box, everything is way smaller than I expected based on the photos and the emails I received from Cosmo talking about the value of the boxes being increased for this box. Regardless all of this will get used…just quicker than I expected due to sizes lol 😀

It does not sound to me like the value is there at all. To send an item that cost the customer an additional $6 to receive is just unforgivable. Sooooo degrading imho.

Reply ButtonReply

missann

$6.99 I mean, even worse!

Tanya

I’m not sure how much I would use the other stuff, but that necklace is super cute. Their other jewelry is cute too.

This will be my 2nd box from this sub. Their previous boxes never drew me in tbh but I went for the last box because of the tea forte mug, which actually ended up being completely broken upon delivery, not surprising given the state of most of my packages here. I contacted them and they asked Tea Forte to send a replacement. I wasn’t sure if I’d ever get one but I did last week, so I am pretty impressed with their CS.

I don’t understand why they skipped last month, other than I didn’t even get my Jan box until mid-Feb? But I also didn’t sign up until the end of Jan so. I don’t get the theme on this box, but at the same time I’m kinda glad they didn’t do actual astrology items as they’d probably be pretty useless to me. I actually will use all of these items even if people are complaining that it doesn’t go with a theme or is random. I could say the same about a lot of other box themes tbh. But with this one I don’t feel like I overpaid for a bunch of random stuff I don’t want, so I guess I’m in the minority ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I used to sub to this, but it’s all over the place with not just the actual items, but with billing and shipping. After their hiatus, I gave them another chance, happily, because a Cosmo box is something I want to support.

But they are still all over the place so I cancelled again. (if you sign up with PayPal, you can stop the payments on your end too, in case they screw up).

This month, I’m happy I did. I hate socks, panties, and small jewelry, and I have never tried a LaRitzy product I have liked.

If they ever start being more consistent with billing, shipping, and product branding, I’ll be back.

JuJu

I don’t understand this, btw: they took a time-out to get their act together, but now that they are back they are as chaotic as ever. Case in point – this box that’s supposed to be for two months because they never curated or sent a February box out.

What did they even do during the hiatus??

They are still a very, very long way from running an organized operation, and for a company of this caliber I find these continued snafus embarrassing.

Jen

Lol this box is such a mess!

Reply ButtonReply

Tny

I actually think it’s a super cool box and wish I had the money right now to buy it! Different strokes for diff folks

Jen

Thank you for being a loyal cosmopolitan employee lol

SquirrelyGirl

I feel like every month people come to the CosmoBox spoilers just to make fun of them. I don’t get it. These are pretty useful items, despite the fact that it’s a random curation the doesn’t really fit an astrology theme.

R+ Co is really good and that is a $57 RV alone, if the 6oz size shown in the picture is correct. That’s pretty much 2x what you are paying for the box right there.
Panties would be really good for traveling
My boyfriend would totally steal those socks to lounge in.
I use CBD oil every day, so totally useful
Laritzy pencils are quite nice and that’s a beautiful shade.
The only thing that wouldn’t be useful for me is the necklace, but only because I am allergic to metal. I am sure one of my nieces would enjoy it.

The box FAR exceeds the price paid and it’s not stuff you see in EVERY SINGLE OTHER SUB BOX. Maybe I am the only one, but I enjoy seeing something different and appreciate that they aren’t trying to be just another makeup or lifestyle box.

So I don’t normally post but to be honest I was excited about this box and came home today and it was here!!! Unfortunately I came away disappointed. The shampoo and conditioner are travel sizes at 1.7 FL oz and not the regular size they were showing. The CBD oil is also super small and the Panty Fresh is actually a coupon for you to go online and order it for free. Not all what I expected!! Disappointed because nothing is the size or the way it appeared 😕.

missann

Another poster says the panty kit cost $6.99 for shipping!? 🥴

Anya

Wow, bummer. Cosmo never even responded to my email asking for the sizes of the hair set. That’s the level of customer service for a prospective customer, so no thanks.

JuJu

Oh my god, and we thought the *spoilers* were bad! 😳

Michele

I use CBD to I’m getting it cause that’s what I pay for CBD if not more.

Reply ButtonReply

michelle

I agree. I really enjoy this box. The value is there- and it’s different and fun!

Reply ButtonReply

JuJu

I think it’s because it’s like a train wreck – you just can’t look away. 😉

The other subs I just ignore if there is nothing there that interests me, but this one surpasses anything I could have envisioned practically every month.

Reply ButtonReply

EMF999

Not an employee either but I am not offended by this box and certainly not at this price point. The hemp oil alone makes it worth it.

However, I could have sworn that I cancelled this box in October. I am unable to access my account online so I cannot check. Keep meaning to call to find out what’s going on but I’ve liked the last couple of boxes (the tea forte in particular made me very happy) so I haven’t bothered to do so. Yet.

Their billing is all over the place and I’ve resorted to a spreadsheet to try to keep track. I’m going to hang in a little longer and see what happens.

Reply ButtonReply

Marion

Honestly, I like all these items, lol. (Except maybe the necklace, which looks a little cheap, even compared to other necklaces from the same brand.)

I’d consider subscribing for a month to get this box, depending on the sizes of the R+Co products.

Reply ButtonReply

Marion

Forgot to say: I got the Plum Laritzy Lipstix (pretty sure it’s the one pictured) in an Ipsy bag, & I was grumpy about it…. until I got it & tried it. I am pretty pleased with it. Very comfortable on the lips, with sheer but buildable matte color.

Reply ButtonReply

Kola

I received a laritzy lip liner in my allure this month and I LOVE it. Super smooth and blendable and a perfect color for my lips (shade name: bare). So I’m interested in trying more from them

pb

thx for update on lippie, may get this box!

Kathleen

Well, I’m in the minority because I see it as a pretty good box if the R&CO is the size they are showing…the value is there. I left, but actually might come back to this sub.I don’t see the astrology angle- but I really don’t care about that. It might seem a little mixed up,at least they are going for different. Not too many subs are willing to take the chance with curating their boxes. This one is it seems. We will see.

SquirrelyGirl

Ha! I just wrote a very similar comment to yours before I read it. I agree with you 100%!

Reply ButtonReply

Lawden

Does anyone know if the shampoo and conditioner are full size??

Reply ButtonReply

Smiley

It is not. It disappointed me when I got it and they are travel size. The panty fresh which I was interested in trying was a coupon and you have to pay $6.99 for shipping. Nothing is the size or the way it appeared ☹️.

Reply ButtonReply

Erin

Agree! I was bummed out by the shampoo & conditioner as well as the coupon for the panty fresh. I would only pay $6.99 for that, to begin with – I don’t consider that card of value at all. For a double month box, this was a rough one for me.

Kendra

I have no attachment to the theme and really don’t care if the items fit. I guess if I bought this hoping for something astrology specific, I would be annoyed. But having full spoilers is worth a lot and if you would use the shampoo and conditioner (I LOVE R+F!!), you are already getting a discount on those. I think the value is definitely there! Am I missing something? I guess I would want confirmation that those will be full sized, but the images show the 8 oz. size…

Reply ButtonReply

pb

can Liz confirm size? that def makes/breaks box for me!

Reply ButtonReply

Jenn

Where are the astrology themed items in this astrology themed box??? There isn’t even ONE! 🙄

Reply ButtonReply

Alexis

I *think* from the description the curation will be ummm…items that would be useful based upon the current astrological period / horoscope?

Reply ButtonReply

Sarah

Maybe if they’d at least tried to explain how this all fit into the theme of an astrology box, but for now it just seems like they’re making up any kind of stuff they can to find an audience.

Reply ButtonReply

Melissa W.

Just a little info for those interested.. Hemp seed oil contain little to no CBD oil. Hemp seed oil is a good source of fatty acids though and good for the skin and hair..

Reply ButtonReply

JuJu

You can get it for much, much less on the Swanson Vitamins site, though. Why would anyone pay $50 an ounce for it?

Reply ButtonReply

Anya

Yikes! Since this box’s inception, it has been all over the place. Price hike didn’t help either.

Reply ButtonReply

Colleen

If I were a subsciber, would be soo very upset.

Reply ButtonReply

Jane

Cosmo is the worst box subscription ever. Who ever came up with the idea of these items inside is crazy. Hahaha seriously- their boxes always like a joke

Reply ButtonReply

MissJ

Y’all, this is not two months-worth of boxes, no one was charged for two boxes. Make sense? It’s still one box, they just didn’t put one out for February, and no one paid for March, so everyone was charged for one box, and here’s the one box!

Reply ButtonReply

Flora

How easy is this to cancel? I may try for that hemp oil as it is regularly $50

Reply ButtonReply

Leylann

I was thinking EXACTLY the same thing, lol!!! 😁 Does anyone know how easy it is to cancel and if I’ll get this box if I order today??? Liz??? 🤔☺

Reply ButtonReply

Laura

For me was easy to cancel, on their website you have the option to cancel.

MissJ

You’d have to contact them on if you’d get this box if you subscribe today, but I can tell you that it’s easy to cancel from your account on their page.

JS

Wait what? An astrology theme…? How? Hempseed oil and lipstick? And this is a double/two months box? LOL.

Reply ButtonReply

DawnS

Very odd curation. Only item that actually interested me was the emergency panty thing. Looked it up and they say the XL (despite being listed as 14-18) can fit up to a size 22. Might come in handy on our summer vacation after running around Disney World in the heat or a water ride where you get soaked. The panties look to be the same material and construction as Eby ones. I might order those, but def not this box lol.

Reply ButtonReply

JuJu

Seriously, I would never knowingly *pay* for this.

This curation is an insult.

Reply ButtonReply

Renee'

This is the amount of items we get in one box. Certainly not two months worth… *sigh*

Reply ButtonReply

Snowhitetwin

Who is making the decisions on this sub box??? Sooooo confusing…
