Facetory Lux Plus Box Review
The moment I saw the spoilers for this box, I HAD to have it. I immediately signed up and anticipated my first box. Fair warning: this review includes a lot of wow’s, and love and favorites because this box is a new favorite box that I love and has literally wowed me.
My box included a step-by-step guide to a skin care routine that includes ELEVEN steps! I am peeking over the edge at 30 (in less than 30 days) and know that now, more than ever, a skin routine is crucial. I immediately hung this up in my bathroom. Now, I have only hit all 11 steps once – I am a busy woman! But I will continue to try to follow and abide and create a routine for beautiful, glowing (fingers crossed for wrinkle-free) skin.
My box also included a very detailed description of all the items I received this month. It had a picture of the product, a description of it, key ingredients listed out and directions. Super awesome to have, especially since the directions on some of the products are in Korean.
Banobagi Milk Thistle Repair Cream, 1.69 – Listed Value $38.00
In my Joey Lawrence voice – WOAH. This stuff is ah-mazing to my skin! It is soft and leaves my skin feeling silky and oh-so smooth! I apply a little on after washing then using the toner below. I really do not see myself going without it after being introduced to it. As soon as I am running low, there is no doubt I will be ordering another bottle.
Soroci Rice Embryo Repair Skin Softner – Retail Value $24.50, Listed Value $25.00
I love this product! At first glance, I thought it would be like my primer from Urban Decay (the bottles are super similar), but when I pumped it out it was super liquidy. Now, the directions on the sheet that was included in my box indicated to pump into your hands and apply to face so I’ve not used a cotton ball or square to apply, and I don’t want to for fear of the cotton getting more product than my ever-aging skin. Just beware when pumping – it runs quick! It is really good for my skin and is light leaving my skin soft to the touch. As far as the cost, I was unable to find it online right away and the site I did find it was overseas. The product is $24.50 but it charged me a $15.00 international fee. While this product is amazing, I am hoping I will find another place for it considering the international fee is almost as much as the softener itself.
Yadah Green Tea Pure Cleansing Balm – Retail Value $22.90, Listed Value $23.00
This product looked so nice and neat when I opened it and I didn’t know where to dive in. Rarely do I wear a full face of makeup since I work in an office alone part-time and am suffering from minimal sleep (mom to a very clingy 8-month old). So, just for review purposes, I took the time to do my makeup (which looked amazing once I cleaned my skin and used my Soroci skin softner and Banobagi milk thistle cream, by the way!). I just dipped my fingers in and had a chunk of balm in my hands and dove right into rubbing it on my face. I applied it in circles and washed it off, even though directions say it isn’t necessary. Now, I wasn’t immediately impressed because my eyes were full of mascara and eyeliner, but I re-read the directions and took a tissue and wiped my eyes. The makeup came off easier than a dry-erase marker on a whiteboard! And wow! My face afterward? So super soft. This stuff is the bomb.
NOHJ Pore Bubble Mask – Retail Value $4.50, Listed Value $4.00
First off, I wish I could show you how cool this packaging is! It looks 3D and is so cool! I have only ever worn a bubble mask once and it was totally impressive. This was just as cool! It smelled really good too! When I opened it up, the mask was black and immediately my face was covered in tiny white bubbles. My skin felt great and refreshed afterward and smelled good too!
Neogen Lab Revital Propolis Ampoule Mask – Listed Value $4.50
I haven’t used this one yet (I only have 3 and want to use them once a week so I am trying to save) but this one is meant to be super moisturizing. Its key ingredients are propolis extract which is a hydrating ingredient that helps to protect and heal the skin from breakouts and irritation. It also has niacinamide, a skin barrier repairing ingredient that brightens, hydrates and firms the skin. I am excited to give this one a go!
Facetory Be Bright, Be You Mask – Listed Value $4.00
This mask was a gold foil and had a hint of a lemony smell. The serum was light and there was enough for me to fold over and save for a nice layer the next day. After using it, my skin looked refreshed and bright!
Chamos Acaci Dark Circle Thief Eye Patch – Listed Value $3.00
This is another one I have yet to try, but the picture makes me giggle. I know once I put this on, I will unleash my inner superhero because that’s what it looks like – a superhero mask. This product also includes the ingredient niacinamide to help improve the appearance of enlarged pores, dullness and will help strengthen the surface of the delicate skin around the eyes.
Chamos Acaci Anti-Wrinkle Black Eye Patch – Listed Value $3.00
The last product I received in my box are these individual patches. I like that they are a set vs one piece so that I can position them exactly where I need them. I will probably end up putting this on as soon as my baby gets over her sickness to battle these ever-lasting bags under my eyes as it is meant to brighten dull skin while treating dark spots and (dun, dun, duuuun) wrinkles. Take that – ka chow!
Facetory Hair Headband - Listed Value $10.00
When I opened my box, this was the first thing I grabbed and I was thrown off because I felt wire. Why is there wire in a headband?! Turns out, the “ears” are twistable. It is a lot of work to get it to sit just right when it is easier to grab a headband and pull it down my head and slide it up my face. Plus, I cannot help but wonder how many twists I will get through before a wire decides to break? I am sure I will figure it out, but for right now an old headband does the job just fine.
Verdict: This box really pulled me in right away, especially since there are less skin-care focused boxes with full-size skin care items, masks and no makeup! Even though I had never heard of the products from the spoilers, I wanted to try them and the headband just gave me that extra nudge. While I ended up not loving the headband, I ended up loving all the products and do not see how I can live without them. I cannot wait to see what future boxes will introduce me to. This box cost me $34.95, including free shipping and I received 9 products with a total estimated value of $104.40 (not including the international shipping for the skin softener). Either way, this box is one stellar deal for amazing products and this box has proven to be worth its value.
