Thanks, Amber, for the new info about the Whole Foods 2019 Beauty Bags! In addition to the bags going on sale Friday, 3/29, there will be free bags available on Saturday, 3/30, at 5 locations:

On Saturday, March 30, the retailer will host the Whole Foods Market Better Beauty Swap, making it easier than ever for consumers to “clean up” their routines and exchange current beauty items for trend-setting products that meet Whole Foods Market’s quality standards.

The first 200 consumers in select New York City, Chicago, Philadelphia, San Francisco and Los Angeles Whole Foods Market stores to bring in one empty beauty or body care product can swap it out for a free, limited-edition Whole Foods Market Beauty Bag (valued at more than $100 each).**

Store locations for the Whole Foods Market Better Beauty Swap events include:

  • New York City, NY – Tribeca: 270 Greenwich Street
  • Chicago, IL – Lakeview: 3201 N Ashland Ave
  • Philadelphia, PA – Philly Center City: 2101 Pennsylvania Ave
  • San Francisco, CA – Potrero Hill: 450 Rhode Island St
  • Los Angeles, CA – Playa Vista: 12746 West Jefferson Blvd

Consumers can visit one of these stores from 8 a.m. – 9 a.m. local time to participate in the Whole Foods Market Better Beauty Swap while supplies last.

And the beauty bags should be available at all stores the day before, 3/29, for $20 each:

When: Friday, March 29th

Where: Your local U.S. Whole Foods Market store (I recommend checking the facebook page of your local Whole Foods for specific details).

I’m wondering about this too! I can’t seem to find full spoilers online yet, even though the bags are out in a few days. Usually the spoilers are out by the Monday of that week?

Hey just an f.y.i I called a store about holding a bag for me and they were so rude about it saying they had gotten an email about not holding bags. It sucks cuz I have to go there if I want one it being the closest at 40 miles from my house.

Almost tempted to drive the 2+ hours to la to get the free bag but idk if I wanna get up at the hour I would have to be there in order to make sure I’m there to be at least the 200th person in line.

Sucks cuz last year I was able to hold a bag at a different store. They were super nice about it too.

Just to be clear- this free bag will be one of those that will be on sale on Friday?

It’s not a completely different bag? One of my Whole Foods is on the list and I want to make sure that I don’t have to fight the crowds on Saturday morning.

Luna

Yes, it’s supposed to be the same bags. 🙂

Yes! My WF around the corner is on the list! Planning to buy a bag tomorrow on my way to work and will try for the free one on Sat as well. I loved last year’s bag!

LOL! I hope you checked the dates more closely before venturing out!

Nah people see “free” and “bag of samples” and don’t bother reading anything else.

Annie S.

You mean next week, right?

Haha, no way am I going to try for a free bag. My local Whole Foods was great last year. I’ll just stick with them.

I absolutely LOVED last year’s bag. Hoping I can get the two bags this year.

MSA, why is my comment not posting? It was not inappropriate…..

Lots of Acure in there. Do you guys think it’s worth $20? Also, i might have trouble reading, but they’ll be for sale BEFORE they give them away on the 29th, correct?

TAMMY IKONEN

Nope

Luna

Yes, that’s correct. They go on sale on the 29th, and the giveaway is on the 30th. 🙂

How much will these be when they go on sale on 3/29? Does anybody know yet? Thank you!

I’m in Austin where Whole Foods originated. I was shopping there since the beginning. You would think that Austin would be on the list. Oh well, they’ve gotten too big for their britches anyway.

Taren

They aren’t an Austin company since AMAZON bought them out….. so yeah, too big for their britches Literally, as in they are technically part of the biggest brand in the world, lol. Highly doubt Jeff Bezos cares where they started!

I had the exact thought. No perks for loyalty. Oh well…

NYC is about a 30 min drive for me, but I am not a crowd person and I cannot deal with chaos and that’s why we stay home a lot lol, but I will go to the CT store and buy one for $20. Even if it was a $1000 beauty bag for free, I still wouldn’t go and do it.

I live in LA close to downtown, but the Playa Vista store is a 45-60 min drive for me, not even close to being a central LA location. Blah.

Sarah

Whaaat, no Boston? Grrr

Exactly what I was thinking, we always lose out!

I should totally do it. Every month I collect all my empty bottles/jars, etc and add it to the post “Empty Bottles Finished in XX Month” and we provide feedback on every product used. My March bag is getting pretty full.
P.S. I won’t drive to LA, I just rather stop Friday morning and get one bag on my way to work.

Lori

Is this your blog? Would be interested to read.

Svetlana7e

Lori, this is not my blog. It runs by Russian girl and every month she posts her empty bottles. The readers post their pictures of empty bottles and they all comment how they like the products. The great thing about it that people who share their used bottles from all over the world and I learned about new products there.
I think Liz should do this for English speaking audience.

Julia

What a fantastic deal… That won’t apply to me. 🙁

Good luck to people who can get it! Enjoy your bag!!!

I cannot even imagine the level of chaos that will be happening in those 5 locations. No thank you.

KW

I’m probably going to be in line at the Whole Foods next to Amazon HQ at 6:30 AM… I’m actually kind of relieved that it won’t be happening there, also.

Luna

That’s funny you say that cause I was thinking the same thing! If the free bags were happening at any of the Whole Foods near me, I would be having quite the dilemma right now… buy it Friday to ensure I get it, or wait and take my chances Saturday morning. At least I won’t have to worry about that!
