Peaches and Petals February 2019 Box Review
This subscription always comes with a card that doesn't really have product info but usually has a promo for another box. This month features Snack With Me (check out our reviews here!).
Bath Bombs
I find it hard to complain about getting bath bombs in any sub because I use the heck out of 'em! The lavender scented one was by far my favorite, with its floral fragrance clinging to my skin after my bath. The citrus was also nice, and felt very summery. Nothing super major happening here in terms of how my skin felt after, but no one can deny the fun of bath bombs.
Friends Like Us Boxed Notecard Kit - Retail Value $16.99
I am really surprised at how nice this notecard set is. It comes in a sturdy box and each of the four different card designs has gold foiled elements that stand out beautifully against the minimal black and white designs. All of the illustrations are really pretty and I would send any of them to a friend in the mail. They also all come with a handsome muted gold envelope with a design square for the recipient's address. Each of the sentiments are also very sweet and simple. The overall look, feel, and design is right in line with the types of cards I prefer to send.
Pooquet Toilet Spray
Items like this really amuse me when I find them in a box. This spray is meant to be used right before you.. number 2.. and help prevent your aroma from leaving the toilet bowl. I find that they don't really block scents as much as they overpower them into submission with how strong these sprays are. This citrus one is no exception and manages to mask most scents with its sheer power. If you find yourself feeling self-conscious about public restrooms this might be a nice addition to your purse, or if you happen to share a bathroom with a partner or some suite mates who might need a hint, leave this in your loo.
Ideal Kitchen Reusable Kitchen Straws
So these straws are super random, but I love that they were included! Straws are pretty much bad news for the planet, and reusable options are becoming really trendy and readily available. These are BPA free and also super cute, and would make great replacements for your daily Starbucks cup or water bottle. They send some really great colors in this batch and they also come with long thin brushes to keep them clean!
Aurorae Non-Slip Hot Microfiber Yoga Mat Towel - Retail Value $24.95
Wow! Our final item this month is a full-blown mat sized yoga towel. Like, it is huge! I am an avid yogi, so I was pretty thrilled with this inclusion. It is perfect for hot yoga, where sweat tends to drip down your limbs and onto your mat, making for a slippery dangerous mess if you don't have a towel. It is made of super absorbent microfiber so it wicks that sweat away from your skin while still being slip resistant. It is easy to toss into your washing machine after class to keep it clean. If you aren't into yoga, you can use this for the gym in general, or even leave it on your bathroom floor outside of your shower or tub for an incredibly absorbent mat.
HUGE!
Verdict: Peaches and Petals is so random. One month I am literally searching for some winning items, then the next I get a box like this that actually really impresses me! The value is absolutely here this month, even just in the yoga towel. All of these items are useful and nothing really feels like over the top filler. I was pleasantly surprised by how much I liked the notecards, and the straws are incredibly useful! The yoga towel is probably the first item I would consider a 'hero item' that I have ever received in this sub, so that was cool! The poo spray was a little silly, but I can still see it getting used in my home, and as I said before, I never complain about bath bombs! Value wise, I was only able to find the notecards and yoga mat towel online with a combined retail value of $41.94. This month absolutely has over the top value for its $19.99 box price tag, which includes free shipping.
