Postmark'd Studio PostBox "Writing on Sunshine" Review
Anne always sends a super cute little note in a tiny envelope. Along with a sweet handwritten note, this month's envelope also has a super cute felt sun patch! You can easily pull this off the envelope to add to your fave bag or jean jacket.
As always, everything in our box is adorable and thoughtfully packaged. I love the sunshine yellow polka dot ribbon!
And here is our monthly blue pencil friend!
Each month we also get a heavy-duty postcard.
We received a second postcard this month, the first in a series celebrating 2019 as #theyearofthepostbox. Peep that cute wee snail!
Included is a handy card with a list of each item included and info on the product designers and origins. The theme this month is sunshine! I am so excited.
The back has info on the origins of zip codes, which is actually a lot more interesting than I would have thought. In order to market zip codes as an efficient and modern way to get your mail from place to place, a mascot names Mr. Zip was created.
Also included was a really cool vintage style Mr. Zip souvenir sheet.
Jinhao Yellow Pen - Retail Value $5.97
Gosh, I love the pens I get in this sub. Last month Anne sent a full rainbow set of amazing rollerball gels! This yellow pen is so bright and cheerful. It is also refillable! It is very smooth and is filled with a bold black ink.
Sunshine Notecard Set
I am really into this sunshine theme because I am a Leo and I love anything with my sun sign on it. These letterpressed notecards couldn't be more perfect! I love the minimal single sunshine on the top of these cards and his complimentary yellow notecards. These are a smaller size because they are actually made from 'tails', the cuttings from larger pieces of paper. They are generally thrown away or recycled, but now these have been given a new life as these cute notecards.
Suns Notecard by The Grits - Retail Value $5.00
This notecard is an excellent example of the power of envelope color. Alone, sure, this card is cute. Covered in little mini suns, it makes a good all around notecard. Paired with the sky blue envelope and BAM you have something cohesive and really special. I think this card is a perfect tribute to sunny days with blue skies.
Ray of Sunshine Card by Paper Wilderness - Retail Value $5.00
I can't help but smile when I look at this card. It features a stingray on bold yellow rays and the cutest gold lettering. Again, this one comes with a perfect pale blue envelope that sets the illustration off perfectly!
Stay Golden Card by Printerette Press- Retail Value $5.00
This card features a pup wearing sunglasses. Need I say more? I don't, but I will. I am totally obsessed with this very good boy and his cheerful message. Again, these studios are killing the envelope color choices. This bold purple is an unexpected pairing but is pure perfection with our golden friend.
Sun in the Redwoods Card by Keva Ink
If my husband were a card, he would be this card. It is delightfully foresty and feels like summer. Beautifully letterpressed with rays of sun hitting a redwood, the colors and textures of this card are beautiful. It comes with a lovely yellow envelope.
Vintage Stamps
And here is our traditional envelope filled with vintage postage. The assortment this month is filled with colors which compliment the sunny theme of our cards perfectly. Of course, Anne includes a postage calculator for those of us who are mathematically challenged. I always appreciate this!
Verdict: Postmark'd was once again awesome this month! I loved the sun theme and each and every card had something special about it. I especially adore the little sun notecards. I also get another incredible pen to add to my collection, in unique sunshine yellow. Anne always does such a wonderful job curating her boxes, and you can tell she really loves what she does! Her creative curation always delights me and leaves me super excited for next month. I can't wait to get these cards in the mail. I know just who will be receiving all of them!
