BookCase.Club for Kids March 2019 Review
Farm Animals by Peter Curry - Retail Value $4.99
This is a cute little book that will be going in the baby's Easter basket. It features nice spring colors and cute little animals with their sounds. This book is good for animal and color recognition as well as vocabulary with all of the verbs it features. It is not an incredibly unique book, but it's a good size for a baby to look at and the animals will appeal to kids!
Dog Wants to Play by Christine McDonnell - Retail Value $6.99
This book features rhyming text and an adorable puppy who just wants to play. He is looking for someone to play with him today and it seems like everyone has an excuse for why they can't (poor dog!) until he meets a boy who is happy to play. The illustrations were cute and the repetitive nature of this book definitely makes it one that kids will want to read over and over.
More Hugs by Sago Mini - Retail Value $8.72
I was excited to see another Sago Mini book since the one we received last month went over so well. These characters are from an app that my kids play with on their Kindle (as was pointed out to me by several people - thanks!) so the familiarity definitely engaged them, but the story itself is also really cute. Hugbot loves to give out hugs to all of his friends and sometimes Robin helps, but eventually, they get too tired so their friends think of ways they can help them. It's a very cute, but simple story about friendship and hugs!
Verdict: This was a pretty good box from BookCase.Club this month that the kids enjoyed. This box is always a mixed bag and sometimes they don't always send us board books as we requested, but this month we received selections that were appropriate for us. The total retail value of our books came to $20.70 which isn't too much over the $14.99 ($9.99 + $5.00 shipping) cost of the box, but two of the three books cost more to purchase online than their retail price, so I think it's definitely a fair value!
To Wrap Up:
Can I still get this box if I sign up today? No, order before the 25th to get the next box. (Boxes ship on or before the 1st of each month.)
