Now, on to the items!

Benefit High Brow Pencil - Retail Value $22

After falling in love with Benefit's Shy Beam in my last Ipsy Glam Bag Plus, I was more than pleased to see another Benefit item this month!

This highlighter pencil is soft, creamy, and so easy to blend. The color is a soft pink with a matte finish. It's great for a subtle highlight under your brow, and very easy to blend out with a brush or just your finger. I love that it's super easy to use and doesn't look like I'm wearing makeup, too. It's now part of my daily makeup routine! (Swatched in lower photo.)

Lovecraft Beauty Blush Palette - Retail Value $39

I have to be honest, I was surprised that this retails for $39 because the packaging doesn't seem reflective of that price point. (I'm thinking of tarte packaging/prices as a comparison.) But minor packaging thoughts aside, I really liked these formulas. The colors are all matte (which is generally my preference for both blush and bronzer), and wow - they are pigment-packed! I recommend using a very light hand in applying - a little goes a long way!

Laura Sanchez Moods Eyeshadow and Highlighter Palette - Retail Value $35

Two palettes in one box = impressive! 👏 This one has some BOLD colors, and while I don't often reach for those kinds of eyeshadows, I really appreciate that ipsy is mixing it up every month. (As much as I love a neutral brown palette, I don't want one every single month!)

And if you aren't loving the bold eyeshadow colors, the good news is that this palette also includes two highlighter shades, and the pink eyeshadows can double as blushes!

The pigment is good throughout, and the shimmers really stand out. Here is the palette swatched beneath the Benefit pencil and the blush palette:

I wore the two brown matte shades today and found that they stayed put all day.

Goldfaden MD Bright Eyes - Retail Value $55

This item alone is worth the cost of the box for me! Goldfaden is a great skincare brand that is also ingredient-conscious, so I was thrilled to see this in the box!

This eye cream is designed to reduce the appearance of dark circles, puffiness, and fine lines. I've been using it day and night for about a week now, and I really like how gentle it is on my skin. It's hydrating and lightweight enough to use before makeup, too.

Paris Hilton ProD.N.A. Dual-Action Cleansing Gel - Retail Value $29

I knew Paris Hilton was still releasing new fragrances but did not know she had a skincare line, too. This cleanser is gentle, foaming, and didn't leave my skin feeling dried out. The scent is light and fresh (I think I detected cucumber) and I'll finish the tube. Would I buy it in the future? No - nothing outstanding in the formula for me, but it's a solid addition to the box when to be honest, I wasn't sure what to expect from her brand.

Verdict: This box has a value of about $180! I think that's incredible for a $25 box that sends only full-size items! I think Ipsy Glam Bag Plus is one of (if not the best) beauty subscription boxes right now. I'll use everything in this box, but the stand out items for me are the Benefit highlighter pencil and the Goldfaden eye cream.

I guess i was extra lucky, for me at least. Instead of the blush palette I got the bronzer palette, and being on the darker side of medium, it’s perfect for me. I haven’t stopped using it. For me, those browns are a transition shade for palettes that don’t have one, a contour, and a bronzer.

Instead of the eye cream, I got body lotion. I actually am more likely to get use out of that since my eyes are so sensitive.

I also got the cleanser (love it), the browbone highlight pencil (love it), and the palette, which was okay. I would rather have the palette than not, because I would have FOMO if I didn’t get it, but it’s just ok for me. I can live with that when I got 4 items I continually use and enjoy.

I got the IT Cosmetics brush instead of the brow pencil. I really like this month’s box. Although I am missing one of my add ons. Also missing an add on in my regular Ipsy bag. I emailed them. I’m just waiting on a reply now.

Box twins as well. Ipsy Glam Bag Plus is killing it every single month. Yes, there have been a few items I’d have rather received some months than others but the value is phenomenal!!

I wasn’t that excited when I first saw the spoilers but I have to say that I loved everything. The cleanser is good , no weird smell, no raccoon eyes. I was going to swap the palette but there were so many so I kept and I am really glad I did. It performs {hate that word but it is true} really well. The blush is lovely, all 3 colors. Not a big Benefit fan so swapping that. Overall was a winner box for me.

I skipped April, and kinda want to skip May as well, but whenever I go into my account to skip, it asks me if I’m sure I want to skip JUNE. Nooooo

Anyone else think the Paris Hilton face wash smelled like Dial soap? I feel like they put Dial soap in it, added flecks of sparkle and put Paris Hilton’s name on it lol. I’m more convinced after using it and seeing how foamy it is (like hand soap lol)

Update…. i’ve been using the Paris Hilton cleanser for three nights now and my face is on fire just wanted to let you ladies know I think maybe the AHA in her cleanser is perhaps a bit stronger than any other AHA I have ever used because I have never had this response to anything before and this is the only product I changed. Not even prescription strength retinal has burned my face this badly so maybe it’s not meant to be used every day ? Or maybe it’s just me?

Chris

I have had no problems with the cleanser and like the scent. It seems very mild

I don’t really consider myself a “pallette addict”, but that Laura Sanchez pallette is calling my name- especially after seeing the swatches here. I added on the rose gold woman shade to my regular Ipsy but am now kicking myself for not adding the whole pallette.

If you need me, I’ll be over on the swaps page desperately trying to make a deal with someone….

I got the IT. Brush and eye cream! That alone was worth it! Can’t complain at all. The other items will also get used.

Amy

This is such a great deal for $25. I’ve been getting a little bored with beauty boxes (repeats across boxes, inflated retail prices, etc.), but this convinced me to sign up.

Cyndi

I received absolutely nothing shown in the review. I’m really upset. I mean really upset. Where do I complain?

If you did not get any of these items, and didn’t pay $25, then more than likely you are a regular Ipsy Glam Bag subscriber. Were your items mostly sample sizes? Did you get a makeup bag? If so, then you are subscribed to the $10 monthly glam bag, and need to upgrade to Ipsy Plus.

Reply ButtonReply

Jamie

what did you get? are you sure you got the ipsy plus? cause.. there is only 9 different items.. you get 5, so there is literally no way you didn’t get a single item in this bag. O.o

Jackie

Can’t wait to get ipsy plus!! 🙂

Anyone else still NOT received their box? I think they forgot to take it to the shipping center because it said awaiting delivery to shipping center for about 10 days. I emailed customer care on the 16th and then all of a sudden there was an update that it was received by the shipping facility 🙄 This is the first time my box has been THIS late.

Reply ButtonReply

Suzy

I am waiting on an accommodation package (ugh don’t ask) that was shipped on the 19th and hasn’t updated in tracking. This is the second time it has happened. The first time, they resent it after a certain waiting period. I would email them, they are good at sending again if you still haven’t gotten it.

Reply ButtonReply

Mouthycole

I still haven’t received mine, nor any tracking info.

Jennifer

I hope you all received your box. I did not. I emailed Ipsy last week and they said rest assured it’s on the way. After it still hadn’t moved this week, I reached out again last night. They now are saying since it’s over 10 business days, they normally send out a replacement but no longer have the April items to replace so I will get a $25 credit in the next 5-7 business days. I am super disappointed, I would do much rather have my box that I was very much looking forward to this month.

Rebecca J Webb

I have not received my box either. I am seeing the same shipping status issues that the rest of you are.

Reply ButtonReply

Brenda

Yup, mine is not even supposed to arrive until the 28(!) and USPS is still awaiting it. Had to log in to get that info. Long wait but since I am getting the brush and eye cream, I will be patient.

Reply ButtonReply

Jennifer

I haven’t received my box yet either. I also haven’t received a shipping email but see a shipping label on the site. However it’s been sitting in the same status since the 12th, like it’s still waiting to be picked up. I agree, my box had never been this late either. Makes me a little nervous for next month when there are so many new plus boxes going out.

Instead of the eye cream I got a lip balm duo. I will not use a single thing in the box. I was hoping for the IT brush and that cream. Will pause for at least 2 month. Very disappointing boxes for me.

Reply ButtonReply

steph

I wish I got the lip duo I got the brush again, and don’t got tools selected

Reply ButtonReply

TNTriathlete

I have tools selected and didn’t get the brush. Bummer for sure.

Nikkim

Close to the same but instead of the blush palette I got the IT cosmetics brush and man ipsy is making me feel like the excitement of when I first started getting subscription boxes and couldn’t wait for them to come in the mail. That’s how ipsy is doin for me lol

Reply ButtonReply

Amanda

I got the same as you and loved my box! I gifted the eyeshadow palette to a young girl who will love it and use it more than me, but everything else was great and well worth the price.

Reply ButtonReply

Svetlana7e

I received same box variation and absolutely love everything. Eyeshadow is bright but on the eyes they do not look that bright and I love how pretty they blended and set on my eyes. I love blush because colors were not some left over obnoxious colors but very wearable and natural. I was not happy with the pencil but it turned out it was a pretty good discovery for me.
I will cancel BC in June when my sub is up. There is not excitement anymore. I love how Ipsy include different and always some new brands where BC recycle same brand over and over and pretty much the same leftover product.

I wanted to hate that pallet so badly but that white highlighter shade really made the whole box for me. When you put it on it’s actually not white it’s kind of a holographic pink and man does it make my cheekbones pop !!!! It is by far the most awesome highlighter I have ever used and it made a phenomenal lid Papa shimmer on my eyes! And and and the shimmery pink eyeshadow looks unbelievably amazing with a soft tan Matt eyeshadow and I never ever wear shimmer.! I also really wanted to heat the Paris Hilton cleanser but I find there’s nothing to really hate about it. I also probably would buy it but I wouldn’t turn it down as it was given to me either. That being said because it’s an aha and I use retinol I’m still forming an opinion Ipsy thank you once again For teaching this old dog some new tricks

Box twins!
I thought in your spoiler post you were supposed to receive the bronzer palette instead of the blush palette, though.

I received everything you received for April as well. I am very happy with all of the items. I told received Benefit Shy Beam & I absolutely love it. I’d definitely buy it when ever I do use it all up. I love the pencil as well. I love the eye palette colors but now I use my bright & jewel tone colors as liners on upper or lower eyes for that pretty pop of color. I’ve been with Boxycharm & Ipsy each over 3 years now. While I still love Boxycharm, I find myself getting more excited for my Ipsy Glam Bag Plus now. I’m excited for the skin care I’ve been getting from Ipsy. Ipsy has really been upping their game. I’m very impressed & happy.

For the shadows that you use as liners, do you use them dry or wet? And do you use an angled brush or something else? I have a bright pallet that I’d love to use as liners but haven’t quite figured out how. Thanks for any tips!

Anna Putnam

You can also just dip a small angled eyeliner brush into water and swipe in the shadow and then on the lid. Someone at a MAC counter taught me that once for applying black eyeshadow and it works great.

Jessica

Hi Michelle. I’m not the original poster, but one option for using shadow as liner is a product called Duraline by Inglot cosmetics. Mix it with any powder and it forms a liquid. I use it with shadow, and an angled brush, to do winged liner.
