Lavish Bath Box March 2019 “Happy Birthday, Lavish” Review

Lavish Bath Box March 2019 - Info Card FrontLavish Bath Box March 2019 - Info Card Back

Here is the info sheet for this months box- it’s birthday themed because Lavish turned three!

Lavish Bath Box March 2019 - Cait + Co You’re The Bomb Confetti Pop FrontLavish Bath Box March 2019 - Cait + Co You’re The Bomb Confetti Pop OpenLavish Bath Box March 2019 - Cait + Co You’re The Bomb Confetti Pop Melt

Cait + Co You’re The Bomb Confetti Pop

This bath bomb looked like fun, but when I took the plastic sealing off of the lid before walking over to my tub to dump it in, the lid fell off and bath bomb powder got everywhere. It was a little hard to relax knowing I had a blue mess waiting for me when I got out of the tub, but the scent blend of coconut water and kiwi was pleasant.

Lavish Bath Box March 2019 - Leebrick Cupcake Frosting Whipped Soap TopLavish Bath Box March 2019 - Leebrick Cupcake Frosting Whipped Soap Open Top

Leebrick Cupcake Frosting Whipped Soap, 2 oz – Retail Value $12.95

This whipped soap looks just like cupcake frosting and smells exactly like cupcake frosting and now I am bummed I don't have a cupcake. If sugary scents aren't for you, you probably won’t enjoy this, but it made me smell like a cupcake and didn’t dry out my skin, so I really can’t find anything to complain about.

Lavish Bath Box March 2019 - Zeep Flirty Bubble Bar FrontLavish Bath Box March 2019 - Zeep Flirty Bubble Bar TopLavish Bath Box March 2019 - Zeep Flirty Bubble Bar Melt

Zeep Flirty Bubble Bar – Estimated Value $6.50 (Linked to a similar bubble bar in the same scent)

This little cupcake bubble bar is small, but it produced a ton of bubbles! I could have split this bubble bar between two baths, and I was genuinely impressed with its bubbling powers. The scent was a blend of apple, lily, bergamot, and citrus, and I liked the freshness this added to an otherwise bakery sweet box.

Luxury Wellness Third Time’s The Charm Bath Bomb

This bath bomb smells like sparkling champagne, peonies, and almond crème with notes of amber and sandalwood, and it paired beautifully with the flirty bubble bar from Zeep. I was happy with the fun pink shade this produced, and even though my bomb was a little broken it still fizzed away happily.

Lavish Bath Box March 2019 - Feeling Smitten Birthday Cake Epsom Soak Front

Feeling Smitten Birthday Cake Epsom Soak – Retail Value $5.99

Feeling Smitten has some truly fun products, so I was excited to see this vanilla cake scented Epsom salt soak! This is a blend of European Dead Sea Salts, Epsom Salts, and coconut oil, and it was hydrating and soothing to my sore muscles. Plus, it smells like cake.

Lavish Bath Box March 2019 - Ambrosia Soap Co Lavish x Ambrosia Hand Soap FrontLavish Bath Box March 2019 - Ambrosia Soap Co Lavish x Ambrosia Hand Soap Info Card

Ambrosia Soap Co Lavish x Ambrosia Hand Soap – Estimated Value $10.98 (buy other soap dispensers for $6.99 here and the soap concentrate for $3.99 here)

I think this hand soap is rather innovative, and I haven’t received anything like it in a subscription box before. It contains a cutely decorated soap dispenser and a soap concentrate that you mix with water, and the dispenser will make it foam up when you need it. The rosemary lemon scent is earthy and fresh, and this has now become my go-to hand soap.

The Verdict: Happy Birthday, Lavish, indeed! I thought this was such a fun box, and a good mix of products were sent. Even the bath push pop was only a miss thanks to user error, and everything smelled amazing. While the retail value is never crazy (this month I calculated an estimated value of $36.43 for everything except the two bath bombs), the exclusive products and stellar curation always add extra value that makes this box a real treat to open and enjoy.

The Wrap Up:

Can you get this box if you still sign up today? You will receive the April box!

I’m a sucker for anything labeled a mystery box and I’ve never met a bath bomb I didn’t like.

Jessica,

it’s always fun reading your reviews of Lavish!
I am so curious about this box but I still think that for $46 with shipping included, this is much too expensive. If they kept this at a $29.99 price point (shipping included) or included 2 or 3 more bath bombs at the current price, I would sign up!

I love your reviews, though. A little jealous of how many baths you get to take for review purposes! 😊💕

Lavish bath box has always been one of my all time favorites. I stopped getting it because I have a backlog of bathbombs. But they do an amazing job curating their themes and to me that is part of what you are paying for. I do think if you add up the retail of each of the items in the box, it meets or exceeds the cost of the box. It may not be a huge value but I think its worth the cost! Bath bombs alone can be sold for $6 or even more.
