Waited too long, and the SPRING promo code is now expired. Bummer. But at least that makes it easy to say no and saves me $50. 😉

I haven’t purchased one of these big mystery boxes for a couple years, but be prepared for many duplicates if you buy!

I tried to warn the same thing below but it hasn’t shown up yet!

I wish MSA would review some of the other offering with this box instead of always the gluten free box. I think reviewing a box with a wide range would be more beneficial than just the one kind.

I wish the $20 box said how many snacks will be included, like the Camping box has listed. “2 each of our fave picks” doesn’t mean much.
It could end up being 3 items, 2 each for only 6 or it could be 10 items, 2 each,
for a total of 20. Anyone know?

It says 2 each of top ten so 20 total. (Maybe that was updated after your comment)

I took it saying 2 each of the “top 10” to mean there would be 20 total. So 10 different (“top 10”) items and duplicates of each…I think….

It may be safe to assume that since the box is named “Top Ten” it will have 2 each of the 10 snacks.

I wonder how long these will be available. I love the idea of the camping box, but we won’t take our first trip until the start of June. Maybe I should buy now and tuck the box away in the pantry when it arrives.

Anyone have any feedback on whether items are usually close to their expiration when they arrive?

Marion

I haven’t purchased one of these for about 2 years, but in my experience, yes, some items are close to expiry. June is pretty close, so there probably wouldn’t be too many.

It’s been a long time since I subbed, but I did buy a “camping mystery box” a few years ago. I don’t recall any problems with the expiration dates being super close (but then again I only follow those loosely for snacks….lol). But what I do remember is that there wasn’t much variety. The box was definitely packed, but with a lot of duplicate items. A lot of chips, cheese puffs and toffee (I do remember not being able to finish the many many bags of that before it expired). So the other box says 2 each of 10 different items, this one doesn’t specify that. Just be warned….

That’s good to know, LB. Thanks!

I have five kids, including three teens so as long as it’s something they deem edible, the duplicates will probably be ok with us. However, I’ll go look through the past reviews to get a better idea of what to expect.

Claire

I might get the $20 one but I don’t know if this would be a better value than the monthly sub. Frankly, the regular sub. is always a mystery box as I don’t know what will be in it!

I bought both! I love their snacks and the code covered the shipping plus a little more.
