My Paper Box Mini April 2019 Review
My mini-subscription included an insert that presented this introduction card. My Grand Box review was mostly centered around Earth Day so I was pretty excited to see that this box was more about me.
Personalize Shopping Budget Notepad
The first thing I noticed about the notepads I received this month was the pattern, font, and colors all of which I love! They are so perfect for spring. This shopping budget list is a pretty useful tool: it has 17 lines for an item and price with a total box at the very end. I really think this will be useful for monthly budgeting of grocery, out to eat, gas and miscellaneous expenses. The checklist itself is long and skinny, measuring at 3 ½ inches long by 8 ¼ inches wide. It has 20 pages, which is more than enough considering I am planning on using it as a monthly checklist vs daily or weekly.
Personalized Around The House Plan
Oh, boy, did this one come at an interesting time! Literally, right before I had unboxed this subscription, I just held a house meeting with my kids and husband on household chores and what needs to be done in each room and then bam! The most perfect checklist at the most convenient time to get things done. It lists out different rooms of the house and has a checkbox and line for chores or organization that needs to be done. I like the shape of this pad, it is a rectangle shape measuring about 5 ½ inches long and 8 ½ inches wide and has 20 pages.
Personalized Self Care Plan
I saved the best for last. It is no secret to those who know me that my self-care has taken the very back seat lately - I am juggling a lot! Between being a full-time mom of 3 (one being 9 months old), working a full-time job, keeping up with the cleaning of our new home and trying to make changes to it, I am exhausted and I come last. This list really is something that can help me focus on me. It has a section for ways I can care for me and the accomplishments I will make.
Off to the right, there are some great tips and examples of ways I can care for myself, my favorites including a manicure and (technically or) pedicure, taking a bubble bath, washing my face or buying something for myself. I read through these and was only able to list off 7 out of the 17 listed over a course of the week, which isn’t too bad.
This last part, on the bottom left corner, shows fruits and veggies that I can eat (though I really only recognize fruits) and water droplets to help remind me to eat better and drink more water. I like the idea of the water droplets, I can mark them off or color them in as I drink more water – it's pretty nifty. I really like this checklist the most, it really allows me to reflect and focus more on me. Happy mom = happy everyone else. Similar to my Around the House checklist, this notepad measures at 8 ½ inches long and 5 ½ inches wide and has 20 pages.
Verdict: I was pleasantly surprised to see this box in the mail. I loved the golden envelope! I was really excited to see what the notepads would be like since this was my first box. I loved how they all matched, how they were personalized to me and how they centered around a theme: self-care. I think this is a perfect subscription for those who like and live by checklists and who can never have too many notepads. With the personalization and types of notepads I received, I would say $10 is a steal and is worth it!
