NewBeauty TestTube May 2019 FULL SPOILERS!

Story time! I was charged for this May box and called in, as I didn’t want it. The girl I talked to was super nice and said nothing had been sent out so she could cancel my sub and refund my $38. I got an email that said sub was cancelled, then one that said $38 refund- there was a $38 refund showing in my bank account. Awesome. Thought it was a done deal- WRONGO! Next day I was charged twice for $38 and $38 back to back. I went back onto my NB account and sure enough my sub still showed active. I called again. Girl was rude and seem to not understand, transferred me to this guy Matt. Matt understood. He apologized and said he had no idea what was going on and would refund me for all of it. WHILE I WAS ON THE PHONE WITH HIM I got a shipping confirmation for a “tube” labeled July 2019. He was like that is totally bizarre, that tube isn’t even out yet and IDK why they are shipping you anything. He told me all my money would be refunded and to just keep whatever it is that they sent me for “July” … oooohkay.. Fast forward 2 days and the money is back in my account and I got the “tube”. Yes, I got the “tube” in 2 days- and it’s this May tube. IDK what is going on over there but cheeze and rice man. IDK if I will ever order from them again after all this..

TBH it almost seemed like they tried to “force” me to buy it. Because if it already shipped out they don’t refund you. So literally while you are on the phone with cs they ship it and then cs goes “oh well, so sorry”.. Shady the house!!

Yes if you signed up for a year you can’t skip or cancel well that’s what I read anyway check under Q&A on their site , I learned my lesson the hard way with LF box , I did 6 mo this and I don’t like the sub and now I’m stuck until it’s over in July 😞 feels like I’m throwing money away . From now on only month to month subs or special one time box deals .

I called to skip May and they said I could not do it since I already prepaid my subscription for the whole year. Please share your experience and confirm if it’s true

I’ve been unsubbing from boxes right and left but haven’t unsubbed from this one yet. And then they sent me an email about the NewBeauty BeautyReport box which looks amazing and I CAVED. It’s got some SIO patches, a C serum, Living Proof, Bioderma Micellar (love that stuff), Has Biotin thickening spray…I can’t believe what a sucker I am!

Emailed customer service – put this upcoming TT on hold , nothing is really appealing to me since last TT killed it !! At least I’m saving my money and my spot bc I’m sure even though IMO this one is a dud , ext TT will be great ❤️😁

Kept running into issues submitting my order online (no shipping options) so I placed my order over the phone. Website went live a couple of hours ago.

Really excited by the MMXV Infinitude Universal Facial Treatment!! This is always a great box.

At first glance I was kind of meh, but looking further I’m really intrigued with the ScalpForce spray. My scalp gets burned every time I’m in the pool, so I’m excited to try this out. The Derma E peel looks great too. They might not be super exciting brands, but it’s definitely a useful box. Test Tube has consistently been a good sub for me. I might not like everything, but it’s always worth the money. I recommend it if you’re on the fence about subscribing.

Their customer service is awful! I just re-started my sub and I loved the March box, but never received the magazine…when I called customer service, they kept throwing me back & forth between New Beauty & Test Tube, and neither was able to tell me when I would receive the magazine. Apparently the box & the mag are handled separately. AND their customer service was rude to me…so I cancelled. And all they had to say was “goodbye”…they did nothing to try and keep me as a subscriber. I had been a subscriber for years previously and took a break last year, but just decided to re-sub. I’m done with New Beauty.

When I opened my box, everything was banged up, damaged, and destroyed, and leaking. I took pictures and sent them right away to Test Tube. They promised me a new shipment on 3/5/19. Nothing. That is what I have heard from them. No tracking, nothing. I have sent them 3 emails, I have called. This is my first experience with them, and I am not feeling very confident with the company as a whole. Test Tube said that they would replace the box, which made me very happy; but I expect service- not to take more than a month.

In this day and age, this is unacceptable.

It doesn’t seem as packed as past tubes (and I agree there was no way to beat the Sunday Riley full size!) but I’m actually pretty interested in the ScalpForce UV filter spray. I suffer scalp burns when I’m out in the sun and I’ve never used a product like this.

I called and skipped this one, but hope that July’s is great. 🙂 I loved March’s NewBeauty TestTube.
