The Ms. Collection is a monthly clothing rental subscription for women. Your stylist puts a pack together based on your style profile and you keep it for as long as you like. When you are done wearing those pieces you send them back in the included pre-paid envelope. You have the option of buying any item at a special member discount price just in case you can’t bear to part with it.
The Ms. Collection has several different plans to best fit your needs. They also have The Mr. Collection for men.
This is the review for The Ms. Collection Premium Once a Month plan, which sends 4 items for $69 per month (plus free shipping).
Each pack includes 3-4 pieces of quality, designer, casual clothing for your everyday look. When you sign up, you answer questions about your style (size, colors, patterns, clothing type, etc.). An actual stylist puts your pack together so, even though your pieces are a surprise, they should work for you. You can leave feedback for your stylist to help make your next pack even better.
This box was sent to us at no cost for review. (Check out the review process post to learn more about how we review boxes.)

The Ms. Collection Premium Once a Month Plan March 2019 Review
This month, my stylist Nataly sent a variety of items for layering while the weather is still cool. My pack includes a sassy dress, a cozy sweater, a jacket, and a button up top. Let's style these pieces!
The info card includes some instructions for the pack, a handwritten note from my stylist, and the retail value and member price.
Mur Mur Cargo Bomber Jacket in Tan, L - Retail Price $60, Member Price $48
First up is this bomber jacket that has lots of zippers, pockets, and lacing. I think it's super cool looking but a bit too bulky for me. I appreciate the size up since it feels like it's cut small. My stylist mentioned pairing this with the plaid shirt that also included in my pack (read more below).
Bobeau Peekaboo Slip Dress in Black, M - Retail Price $88, Member Price $70.40
Now, this look is so me! The drapey fabric (95% poly/5% spandex) is comfortable and stretchy with just the slightest sheen. The faux wrap and elastic band at the waist give this dress and flattering and secure fit. Plus, how cute is the lace-trimmed, peekaboo slip underneath; subtly flirty while giving extra coverage. It has a bit of a retro vibe from the way the neckline and sleeves are cut, right?
Sanctuary Plaid Button Down in Black/White Plaid, M - Retail Price $79, Member Price $63.20
I'm pretty picky about my plaids but I like this simple black and white one. The lightweight rayon fabric feels smooth and cool and makes this a perfect transitional piece. The long, curved hem allows me to pop this on with some leggings and booties for a pulled-together, comfortable look. I'm glad this cut is a bit oversized since there is minimal stretch in the fabric.
RD Style Chenille Sweater in Red, M - Retail Price $76, Member Price $60.80
I love chenille! It's so plush and comfy without all the fluffy, fuzzy particles that a lot of winter fabrics have. And, this crimson is making me think I need some red in my wardrobe. In terms of comfort, this is awesome. The boxy, oversized fit gives me the feeling of being wrapped in a blanket. John pointed out that that is pretty much what I looked like too. The fit isn't the most flattering for me; I wish it nipped in at the waist, right along the seam from the knot in the back. Also, it's hand wash only which may be tough with such thick fabric. Good thing I don't have to worry about washing it! 🙂
About Returns:
Each pack includes a pre-paid return envelope. When you are done with your pieces, just pop them in here and drop it off at the post office. The Ms. Collection will process your return and you’ll be ready to go for your next pack. (If you are purchasing anything, just leave them out of your return package.)
A note about cleaning: You don’t have to clean the pieces before sending them back. The Ms. Collection has everything cleaned once the pieces are returned. I didn’t notice any smell (including fragranced detergent which is good for those with sensitive skin), stains, or signs of wear.
The Verdict: My pack from The Ms. Collection this month allowed me to try with a couple of styles I haven't played with much before, like the bomber jacket and boxy chenille sweater. I also got a couple of spot-on hits for my typical style – the faux wrap dress and plaid top. Though not everything worked outfit-wise for me, I'm glad I got to try them. If you are into trying to be more sustainable with fashion, renting clothing might be something to look into. With The Ms. Collection, I get a chance to try new styles, mix and match looks with my current closet, and avoid purchasing fast-fashion while not worrying about what to do when I'm done wearing the items. The total retail value of this pack was $303 and I rented the items for $69 with free shipping.

Value Breakdown: Since this is a clothing rental service, the value really comes from being able to change up and try new, styled looks every month. I also get a chance to wear high-quality brands that I wouldn’t be able to spend this kind of money on often. There is always the option to buy an item for a discounted price if you love it. Basically here is what I paid to rent each item for the month (based on retail price):
- Mur Mur Jacket - $13.66
- Bobeau Dress - $20.04
- Sanctuary Shirt - $17.99
- RD Style Sweater - $17.31
