Spring 2019 Walking Dead Supply Drop Review
Included with this drop was a fold out information sheet.
It had a summary of all the items inside.
Lucille Aluminum Water Bottle
It isn't often that one of your favorite actors can play possibly the sweetest man on tv then a few years later be a character who is bloodthirsty enough to make bludgeoning people to death with barbwire covered baseball bat his calling card. This is a testament to the genius that is Jeffrey Dean Morgan. This aluminum water bottle features Negan's weapon of choice: Lucille. It also comes with a silver carabiner.
Sorry, you will always be Denny to me. <3
Terminus Metal Lunchbox
This rather Fallout-esque lunchbox is pretty cool! I love the super detailed map on it and the vintage-inspired metal construction. It would be great for lunches or for stashing your favorite TWD collector's items.
Whisperers T-Shirt
This rather creepy tee features Alpha, the leader of the Whisperers, a gang of humans who have forsaken their humanity to live as animals and use walker skins to camouflage themselves among their herds.
3D Walker Poster
While this poster is pretty cool, I feel like the proportions would make it hard to frame, which might bum some collectors out. It is designed to be 3D and even comes with its own glasses so you can experience this line of walkers approaching!
Alpha Popsocket
Popsockets are everywhere, though usually, they are stylish, cute, or pretty. Shock your friends with this macabre version, featuring Alpha telling everyone to pipe down or else!
Evolution of a Walker Car Decal
This decal is pretty clever! A TWD inspired take on the Evolution of Man, stick this to your car to display your addition to the stage after death: WALKER.
Topps Card Set
Finally, our last item is a set of cards featuring some of the more notable villains from TWD. (I see you, Denny Duquette!) I feel like these could have been cooler with the addition of brief bios on the back of each card.
Verdict: This quarter's The Walking Dead Supply Drop felt a little filled with filler. The lunchbox, t-shirt, and water bottle were cool, but the cards, decal, Popsocket, and 3D poster felt less impressive than other items in past boxes. I wish the poster had been another collectible art print because I love seeing artistic takes on the franchise. I didn't love the trading cards because they had no real info on those villains, and the decal is cool, but not something I would want on my vehicle, personally. This box usually comes with a really cool prop replica too, and I wish they had included one this time.
