Black Tea Chai Bazaar, 20g- Buy 85g for $14.68
I never tend to get excited about chai teas but if there is anything I have learned from my tea journey with this sub, it is that I should just take a sip! Though chai doesn't get me super pumped, anything with a good rooibos certainly does and I would honestly describe this tea as a winner because of those strong rooibos notes. The chai spices are certainly there, but this totally drinkable tea manages to not feel like a fall brew but more like a spiced red tea. I liked it very much.
Black Tea Golden Jin Luo, 20g- Buy 85g for $11.76
The tasting notes provided with this pretty black tea are malt and cacao, but this one had such an enjoyable honey taste I brewed up a second cup immediately after the first. It is a very smooth cup and just a little raw sugar really enhanced the natural malty sweetness. A splash of almond milk gave it creamy overtones.
Black Tea Organic Nilgiri Highlands, 20g- Buy 85g for $9.97
I find Nilgiri teas to be a little too mild for my taste, but I have learned that if I over-brew them that helps. I like a strong cup! This black tea felt pretty traditional and there was a hint of citrus and a little curry spice there too. It wasn't my favorite tea, but it was still utterly drinkable!
Premium White Tea Organic Raspberry Kiss, 20g- Buy 85g for $12.38
This tea brewed up the most lovely blush pink! It had a fresh berry scent, and it is worth noting in a sea of somewhat artificial "berry" teas, this one was completely authentic, smelling like fresh raspberries. It was super smooth and had a barely there tart vibe that gave it just a little something extra. While this was great hot I imagine it would really shine iced and garnished with a lemon.
Black Tea Dark Lust, 40g- Buy 85g for $13.53
On my tasting notes, I wrote "SEXY" for this tea in all caps. This tea is pure velvet, and it has this deep, dark quality that reminds me of leatherbound books and honey. It is appropriately named! I loved its malty smooth finish and found it was delightful with both sugar or alone.
Verdict: Field to Cup is always full of the most exquisite teas. The standout this month for me would have to be a tie between the Golden Jin Luo and the Dark Lust. Delicious! I also surprisingly really enjoyed that Chai and the Raspberry Kiss was so pretty and light. The Nilgiri Highland was not my favorite, but the good thing about this sub is that if you don't love a tea they let you replace it in your next box! This continues to be oneof my absolute favorite tea subscriptions because the curation is top notch and the bags of tea themselves are always super generous.
