2 Chic Fruit Print Scarf

What a fun scarf! This is more for fun than warmth, as it is light and airy. Printed with various fruits, the bright colors scream “Summer is coming” to me, and I could see myself wrapping this around my hips at a pool party. The fringe adds a fun twist, too.

Pure Bliss Body Confections Are You Cereal Triple Body Butter – Retail Value $6

This smells JUST like fruit loops, and wow when I rub this body butter into my skin I smell like a whole snack. Along with beeswax and coconut oil, this is made with mango butter, cocoa butter, and shea butter. This is a rich cream that would probably be a bit heavy during the warm months, but it is perfect for elbows, knees, and all over if you’re not going out into humidity.

Pure Bliss Body Confections Cereal Lip Scrub – Retail Value $3

This is a drier lip scrub that smells just like sweet cereal, and I have no shame in admitting I enjoyed licking it off my lips after rubbing them together. Made with sugar, shea butter, and coconut oil this adds a bit of moisture while taking care of flaky lips.

Fruit For Thought April 2019 - Sweet For Your Skin Fruity Rings Mini Bubble Scoops Top

Sweet For Your Skin Fruity Rings Mini Bubble Scoops – Buy a set of 6 for $6 (found on sale here for $5)

These bubble scoops are mini bubble bars that smell just like fruit loops, and each scoop is enough for one fun bath. These created more than enough bubbles despite their small size, and I am always happy to receive a bath product that allows for multiple uses.

Fruit Print Hair Scrunchies, 6 hair ties

The fabric on these hair ties remind me of pre-wrap from my athletic training days- they're soft, stretchy, and they don't snag on my hair. I have been using them to loosely hold my hair, and I like that they don't tug or feel tight while still being functional.

Fruit For Thought April 2019 - Berry Sweet Plans Confetti Tassel Clips TopFruit For Thought April 2019 - Berry Sweet Plans Confetti Tassel Clips Open Top

Berry Sweet Plans Confetti Tassel Clips – Retail Value $4

These rainbow tassel clips came at the perfect time- I am currently reading a thick book and using the hardcover sleeve to mark my place, but it feels like one wrong move and my place will be lost. I have already started using one of these clips to mark my place in my book instead, and I like that they are large and will work for a variety of marking and clipping needs. Plus, how fun are they with the rainbow tassel?

Fruit For Thought April 2019 - Mr. Sketch Fruit Scented Markers Top

Mr. Sketch Fruit Scented Markers, x 2 – Buy a set of 12 for $11.36 (found on sale here for $8.99)

These were included to remind us of our childhood and wow, the nostalgia! I definitely remember smelling these in elementary school before coloring with the pigmented markers, and I am happy one of my markers is watermelon scented- that was my favorite of the bunch!

The Crispery Fruity Ringlets Handmade Marshmallow Crisp Treat – Retail Value $6

As soon as I pulled this out of the box my mouth started to water- it’s a sweet lovers dream of fruit loops and marshmallows. This is definitely a rich treat that should be shared with others (but I won't judge you if you eat it by yourself, and I can neither confirm nor deny that I ate mine in one sitting), and it felt luxurious to receive it in this box. I have seen these for sale before at nice candy stores like Lolli and Pops, so getting this in the box felt special.

Fruit For Thought April 2019 - Froot Loops Front

Froot Loops – Retail Value $1.09

Look, I have been dieting for what feels like forever, but my sweet tooth still misses things like sugary breakfast cereal. Getting a single-serve packaging of froot loops is perfect for me because I am able to indulge once without having an entire box of cereal calling my name in my pantry. I love them, and I thought this was the perfect finishing touch to the box.

The Verdict: Fruit For Thought always nails the curation game, and the combination of thoughtful products and tasty treats is a big winner in my book. The fruit loops marshmallow treat was so good, I love the rainbow tassel clips, and the bath products were of great quality from an indie brand. While this box emphasizes thoughtful curation over high-value items, I calculated a total value of $23.09 for everything except the scarf (the big ticket item), the hair ties, and the markers.

I am a staunch believer that pineapple doesn’t belong on pizza and when I’m not working as a family law attorney I enjoy hiking the Louisiana trails (alligator sightings are a favorite!) or relaxing with Duchess, my cat. I’m a sucker for anything labeled a mystery box and I’ve never met a bath bomb I didn’t like.

For anyone interested, I ordered a mystery box, and it was hands-down the BEST mystery box I have ever received. Packed full of items and thoughtfully presented. I definitely feel as though I got my money’s worth. It was also shipped lightning fast. Still not sure if I could afford the full-size version on a monthly basis, but the mini box is going on my wish list for when I have the cash. I am highly impressed here!

They have a mystery box right now for $25 worth over $50 from past boxes and the code MOMSDAY gets new customers 20% off, since the shipping is $5 it basically cancels out the shipping fee. You need to go to their actual site not thru Cratejoy.

Thanks for the heads up on this! $25 is much more my speed.

This is a super fun box, but I don’t think I could ever stomach paying $50 a month for it, no matter how fantastic the curation. I do love reading the reviews though!

I’d like to see this company sell their boxes individually as gift boxes. I love the curation and think they’d make fun gifts

Pam

You can order just one month as a non renewable gift. Just check the box saying it’s a gift at check out.

katie

That is a great idea!

The curation is always so thoughtful. If you are looking for a super high RV this isn’t your box. Not everything is about how much stuff you can cram into a box.

Luna

Such a cute curation. I always love to see what’s included in each box. 🙂

I got a Lolli & Pops Fruit Loop crispy treat in an Easter Basket this year (along with a Lucky Charms type one made of the marshmallows). It ended up being mostly Fruit Loops throughout with just a tad of Rice Krispies thrown in, so it was a bit rough on the mouth for me to eat in one go, but what I love about those crispy treats are that they’re surprisingly not that sweet considering how they look. My most favorite one is the Oreo (I’ll take *anything* cookies & cream related!).

The value of the scarf alone is $22. The beauty of this box is in the curation and themes, as well as handcrafted products. It can’t be compared with a huge company like Fab Fit Fun etc. Its a totally different kind of experience and value.

I totally agree! Everything about this box is always so cute and thoughtful. People who want hundreds of dollars worth of stuff for their 50.00 should just not subscribe.

Luna

I totally agree! While I know people are into sub boxes for different reasons, mine has mostly been about discovery, and I’ve always been fine with paying for what I call a “curation service” if that means I get what I want out of a box… discovering fun products I would never have known about otherwise. 🙂

What a fun box!! I just saw those treats at Lolli and Pops too and wondered if they were worth it. Great review!

“Fruit Print Hair Scrunchies”

Oh, I get it…. FRUIT loops!

Pamela

The RV of the scarf alone is $22 so the total value of the box is above the $44.99 price point.

Rena

Wayyyy to pricey for a few (not so practical) “cutesie fruitsies”!! I’d much rather spend that $50 on a Margot Elena, Causebox, or Boxy Charm + Luxe!!! Even FabFitFun beats this lol!

Cookie

The curation is very cute but the price point is way too high.

Christina P

It’s a very cute box! That Crispy treat looks amazing! I would have devoured that in one sitting as well.

Anna

This box always nails it on curation.

Cady

Why on earth would anyone spend over $40 on this ?!

Reply ButtonReply

Trish

Woah. While this may be a cute box, it’s not at all worth the price. I’d maybe pay $20 with free shipping for it. I couldn’t imagine getting this box for $50.
