KoKoStyle is a monthly K-Beauty subscription box from KoKoBox. Each box comes with 2-3 full-size products and also includes a variety of samples/goodies to give you a taste of what’s popular in Korea right now. They cover a wide range of different beauty products, including makeup, skincare, haircare, and body care.
In addition to the regular KokoStyle box, KokoStyle also offers a deluxe version of this box for $49.99 a month.
This is a review of the regular Kokostyle, $29.99 a month, box.

The Products: A mix of full size and sample size items ranging from makeup, skincare, haircare, and body care.

Good to Know: This box will occasionally include skin tone specific makeup like BB creams and foundation, so when you subscribe you choose between light beige and dark beige. However, KoKoStyle acknowledges that doesn’t work for everyone:
Korean makeup can be quite limited for darker skin tones. If you use a darker foundation, please send us a message and we will put an alternative item of the same value in your box.
KoKoStyle April 2019 Review
Here is the info sheet for this month’s box.
KokoStyle usually includes a small non-beauty gift, and this month we got a rabbit pen!
I also received this small sample. Extra samples and items are included in boxes at random, but if you share your box on social media you’ll definitely get a fun bonus item!
Etude House Look At My Eyes Eyeshadow In Piglet - Retail Value $7.20
This is genuinely one of the cutest beauty products I have ever seen, and if you disagree, I don’t think I can trust you as a person (or I want to see the beauty products you’re looking at). This is an officially licensed Disney collab with Etude House, and I need all of the eyeshadows from this collection. This shade is a sheer, light pink with a hint of sparkle, and it would make a good base shade before layering on other eye colors. Or, wear it alone for just a light touch of color. I found the formula to be smooth, but since the color is so light you may have to apply it multiple times to get the color payoff you want.
Here it is swatched.
W. Lab Moist Fit Color Up Base, Full-Size! - Estimated Value $20
I couldn’t find this exact product for sale online, but other primers and sunscreens from W. Lab hovered around the $20 range. For a full-size color correcting primer with SPF 50 protection, I think that is a good value. Peach is a good color corrector for dull skin, and now that finals are upon us (my last finals ever!), my skin is definitely suffering a tad. I was happy with how this performed under my tinted moisturizer, and I LOVE the added benefit of SPF protection.
Sidmool Royal Honey Peptide Deep Moisture Sleeping Pack - Retail Value $17
This sleeping mask was decent, but I don’t think it lived up to its “deep moisture” claim. When I used it as my nighttime moisturizer, I woke up with dry skin the next morning, but I was really happy with the way this performed when I layered it with a lighter moisturizer and a facial oil the next night. The texture is a thin, clear gel that spreads easily, and it didn’t irritate my sensitive skin.
Healing Bird Botanical Face Mask in Aloe - Retail Value $2.99
This sheet mask was a winner- the ingredients list is packed with botanical extracts and aloe, which were all soothing to my skin. This mask is saturated with essence so I could wear it for more than the recommended time without it drying out (my preferred way to sheet mask), and my skin was hydrated and happy when I took this off. I’d happily use this mask again!
Verdict: I always think KokoStyle does a great job of sending full-size products! Getting a sleeping pack and an SPF primer this month was definitely a win, and I am in LOVE with my piglet eyeshadow. I calculated an estimated value of $47.19, which I think is fair considering this box came straight from Korea!
To Wrap Up:
Can I still get this box if I sign up today? No, the next box you will receive is May’s.
Value Breakdown: This box costs $29.99 + free shipping and I calculated a total value of $47.19, which means that you’re paying approximately the following per item:
- Etude House: $4.58
- W. Lab: $12.71
- Sidmool: $10.80
- Healing Bird Botanicals: $1.90
