Each box includes an info card telling you about the featured item and how what they chose to send you helps your house be “greener,” and you be “healthier”! This month’s featured item is a canister of laundry powder and a laundry stain soap stick from Meliora which means “better” in Latin.

Meliora Cleaning Products Starter Bundle -Lemon – Retail Value $12.98 (found here for $ 12.49)

I received an 8.8 oz canister of lemon scented laundry powder that yields 32 loads in a HE washing machine or 16 loads in a standard washing machine. The powder consists of 4 ingredients, baking soda (odor neutralizer), washing soda (adjusts water pH, laundry booster), vegetable soap (cleanses clothing), and lemon essential oils (added aroma to the product and clothing). I added two scoops to my large load, it's advised per the directions to pour the product directly to the machine with my clothes to ensure the product gets evenly distributed. Sometimes when added to the soap dispenser on the machine the soap doesn’t dissolve into the machine. If your soap dispenser works fine and the laundry soap evenly dispenses into your machine then your all set. My clothes had a faint lemon scent when I removed from the washing machine and when my clothes dried they were all nice and clean. The powder comes unscented and has the following scents to choose from, lemon, lavender, and lemon-lavender-clove. Their regular size canister (.35oz) of laundry powder is $15.49, found here.

Next, I received a fragrance and dye free, vegetable soap laundry stain removal stick. The vegetable soap is made up of sodium cocoate, glycerin, organic coconut oil, and water. It’s best, per the instructions to wet the soiled area and rub the soap stick on the stain, then wash.  I had a few pieces of clothing that had stubborn stains and for the most part, it attacked those pesky stains. There was one item that it didn’t get the entire stain removed but it's noticeably better than before using the soap stick. I appreciate how I was sent a bundle that included laundry soap and a stain removal stick. The soap stick is $3.99 and can be found, here.

Verdict: I’m amazed how Mighty Fix continues to bring a variety of products that are useable for my home and for my personal use. This month was a favorite. I was in need of a stain remover and this one does wonders and to be paired with laundry soap is perfect. I have received Meliora Cleaning Products before and have been pleased with the lasting results. Also, readers have mentioned in previous reviews that they already received a product I was reviewing. The $12.98 covers the cost of this subscription, but I receive quality products for $10.00 each month, which is a good deal.

I agree with Andi – the stain stick didn’t yield results for me. And then I put it back in its original box and it absorbed all the blue ink. Probably best stored in a glass jar or something similar. The laundry powder is actually a soap, not a detergent, and I’m pretty happy with it. It’s not any better or worse than others I’ve tried. Also, I use a compact washer and I have definitely gotten more than 32 loads out of this powder.

I haven’t had much luck with this stain stick, but the laundry detergent rocks! I bought a full-sized version of the lemon one. It cleans well and smells great!
