Stitch Fix is a monthly clothing and styling subscription service. When you sign up you take a pretty in-depth survey of your sizes, your style, and pricing preferences. After choosing when you'd like to receive your delivery, your stylist handpicks 5 items based on your preferences. The fee for this service is $20, and that includes free shipping and free returns. And if you keep any of the items they send you, you get to deduct the $20 fee from the total. (If you keep all five items, you also get a 25% discount!)
My items are reflective of my style and price preferences, so your Stitch Fix may be completely different!
My Subscription Addiction paid for this box. (Check out the review process post to learn more about how we review boxes).

Stitch Fix for Women May 2019 Review
This is the invoice that was sent in the box. As you can see, it provides specifics on the brand, size, and price of each item. They also give instructions at the bottom for how to check out and either purchase or return your items. My total came to $200, but with the 25% off (which they take off BEFORE deducting the $20!) and the $20 credit, my total drops down to $130. That’s a savings of $70 on these items.
This is my style sheet that includes a note from my stylist and features the five items I received along with different outfit suggestions and accessories that might pair well with them. My stylist is Kacey and she does an awesome job of checking out my Pinterest page for ideas of what I like!
Pink Clover Denver Knot Front Top, Size L - Cost to Keep $38
After how much I loved the last mustard yellow top in my previous fix, my stylist decided to send me another! This is probably my favorite item in the box this month because it is so simple but cute and really comfortable. As a busy mom of three, I need something I can just throw on and go in some days and this top with the knot in the front adds just enough style for me to feel like I'm making a bit of an effort!
Here is a closeup of the fabric. It's a nice lightweight knit so it's perfect for the warm spring and summer months!
Verse Galla Cami Tank Top, Size L - Cost to Keep $38
This was my husband's favorite shirt this month, and it is much brighter than what I usually wear, but I think it would be so cute with some white shorts at the beach this summer. The material is light and slightly textured with a rounded hemline that I really like. I would definitely never pick this out, but I think it's a great pick by my stylist!
Dee Elly Doriah Brushed Knit Halter, Size L - Cost to Keep $34
If you've ever read my reviews, you know I am a huge fan of stripes, although I rarely wear vertical stripes! I love how neutral this shirt is with the simple beige and white stripes. My stylist chose this because I had pinned a lot of pieces with this type of neckline and I do think it is actually flattering on me at the neckline, but it's a bit clingy at the stomach. This is one that will take a very special bra because of the neckline and the sheerness of the top, so I'm not sure I'll be able to make this one work for me! It also seems a bit expensive for the material which is just a basic stretchy soft cotton. I'm definitely on the fence about this one!
Kaileigh Aretha Crochet Pocket Knit Top, Size L - Cost to Keep $36
I love the mix of patterns on this top and the crochet pocket, although with the muted colors you sort of lose the effect. This top is cute, basic, and comfortable, made of a soft, stretchy cotton knit material. While it is definitely my style, it is another one that seems a bit overpriced for the material and style and while I like it, it doesn't feel like it's quality enough to warrant boutique pricing.
Lux & Co Brooke 2fer Knit Maxi Dress - Cost to Keep $54
This is my daughter's favorite item and it definitely suits my style. I don't wear maxi dresses as often as I should - they are so easy to throw on and look great in and this one, in particular, is a perfect mom dress! It is comfortable, stretchy, and full coverage at the neckline, which is nice for when kids are hanging on you (less awkward moments!), and best of all, it has pockets! I love the two different patterns and since I'm drawn to both stripes and florals, this dress is ideal for me. This dress has layers of nice, quality fabric and feels like it is well- made.
Here is a closeup of the fabric. I like the somewhat neutral palette with that dusty purple and just a few pops of color.
The Verdict: This was another really great fix for me from my Stitch Fix stylist, Kacey. She actually looks at my Pinterest board and takes into account what I like when choosing items, and I have to say that this personalized experience, makes a huge difference in my satisfaction and excitement over the items. A lot of readers commented last month that the pricing was a bit high, but I think compared to a lot of my past fixes, this is one of the more reasonable boxes I've received. Especially if you take into account the 25% discount you could receive which gives each piece an average price of $26. You are definitely paying a premium for the service and convenience, but when you find quality pieces that match your style, it can feel worth it!
To Wrap Up:
Can you still get this box if you sign up today? Stitch Fix curates its boxes based on each individual’s preferences as well as what’s available. What you get might not be the same as what I got, but you also might get something that fits your style and body even better than the looks above! Sign up and see what they choose for you!
Value Breakdown: This box cost $20 with free shipping and returns. The total retail value of the items inside is $200. The invoice lists the cost of each item next to it, but if I keep all 5 items, then I get a 25% discount. The $20 styling fee for the box is applied to the purchase no matter how many items you keep, and in this case, it would bring the total down to $130. That’s a discount of around 35% for these items.
