TheraBox March 2019 "Bloom" Review
TheraBox includes a mini magazine highlighting the ingredients to happiness included in each month’s box. This March “Bloom” box is all about preparing for spring and blooming into the best version of you.
The mini magazine includes a note from the editor, opportunities to win free boxes, a list of all the items included in this month’s box and TheraBox FAQs. I love that TheraBox provides a description of each product, a link to the product’s website, the cost of the item and a coupon code if available.
Health Journeys: TheraBox Meditation Bundle, 3 sets – Retail Value $34.98
For this month’s happiness boosting activity, TheraBox teamed up with Health Journeys, the leading producer of guided imagery and meditation, to assemble a downloadable bundle of mediations and self-hypnosis audios. Each bundle, Self-Confidence (3 tracks), Creating Positive Change (4 tracks), and Guided Imagery Mix (7 tracks), focuses on positive change and growth.
Herbal transdermal Cell Re-Mineralizing Mud Mask, 3 oz – Retail Value $20.00
This all-natural mud mask is formulated to detox and cleanses the skin by removing impurities, trace minerals and toxins from your skin. In addition, it contains ingredients that will leave skin feeling clean, tight, refreshed and invigorated.
To my surprise, this mud mask turns from a brownish-green color to a pretty blueish gray color when applied. It took a little over 10 minutes to completely dry and wasn't as difficult to wash off as I anticipated. I did leave my skin feeling tight and clean but also a little dry. I applied a moisturizing mist and creamy moisturizer after washing off the mask and my skin looks great.
Veise Dream Serum, 1 oz – Listed Retail Value $38.00 [note: the Veise site was down at the time of this review so I can’t confirm price or link directly to the product.]
This serum does double-duty! First, it provides deep hydration from the Hyaluronic Acid, It also helps to improve the appearance of hyperpigmentation and scarring which is something I personally have trouble managing. I was first introduced to the Veise brand in the August 2018 TheraBox and loved their Hydrating Face Wash.
I love that this Dream Serum is barely scented and one pump goes a long way. I'm super excited to continue to use this dream serum and hope to see a reduction in my hyperpigmentation.
Organicare Bath and Body Unicorn Whipped Body Butter, 4 oz – Retail Value $19.99
This scented whipped body butter contains all raw and organic ingredients and is formulated to turn your skin from dull to glistening and leave it moisturized and soft. It’s scented with pink sugar, raspberry, blackberry, bubblegum, cotton candy, and vanilla fragrances.
This multi-color butter is very cute and smells great. It’s thicker then I would expect from whipped butter but a little goes a long way and it left my skin shiny and well moisturized.
The Happy Shoppe Kawaii Foldable Note Pad – Listed Value $5.00
This super adorable schedule notepad comes in a variety of spring colors and contains sticky pads in various shapes and sizes. The idea is to replace your boring sticky notes with these cute ones to add a little sunshine to your day. I love the concept but they are a bit too childish me. Also, my daughter has already confiscated them!
The Farmer’s Touch All-Natural Foot Cream, 3 oz – Estimated Retail Value $15.00 (Buy full size here for $20)
This all-natural foot cream is handmade with organic ingredients that are sustainably sourced. It promises to moisturize dry feet and cracked heels and soften calluses. This soothing and refreshing cream contains cocoa and shea butters, almond, sunflower and eucalyptus, and mint oils, beeswax and honey.
The eucalyptus scent smells amazing! The cream is quick absorbing and left my feet feeling soft and smooth. The only downside is that the cream has no shine so while my feet were moisturized and soft, they didn't necessarily appear to be.
Avry Beauty Gel-Ohhh Jelly Spa, Lavender – Listed Retail Value $5.95
I love jelly spa baths and wasn’t aware that this treatment was accessible outside of nail salons! This jelly is cruelty and paraben free and leaves your skin super moisturized. One side of the packet contains the ingredients to create the jelly and the other side to dilute the jelly.
This jelly takes a simple foot soak to another level of relaxation! First, the jelly holds heat so you can comfortably soak your feet for longer. Second, the lavender scent smells amazing and has a calming effect. It’s a bit messy but definitely worth the fuss!
Taupe Coat Wasabi Nail Polish, 0.5 oz – Retail Value $10.99
Socially conscious Taupe Coat creates beautifully pigmented vegan and 10-chemical-free nail polish in a variety of pretty colors. Wasabi is a mint green hue that is perfect for spring.
I love the brand and mission but this color is too pale. Not just against my darker skin tone but in general. It goes on nearly clear with just a hint of color. Ironically, it would work great as a top coat.
NCLA Beauty Take It Off Nail Lacquer Remover Sheets – Listed Retail Value $19.00 (currently sold out)
Take it Off is a vegan and cruelty-free soy-based nail polish remover that strengthens nails and softens cuticles while it strips away old polish. It comes with 10 individually wrapped durable wipes with enough staying power to remove your entire manicure.
The size of the wipe was larger than I expected. I also appreciate that the wipes have a light and non-overbearing scent. Like other nail polish remover wipes, I find these wipes to be very greasy.
The Verdict: This month’s “Bloom” TheraBox is awesome! It contains a wide variety of products to get you Spring ready, both mind and body and from head to toe. My favorite items this month include the Meditation Bundle, Unicorn Body Butter and Gel-Ohhh Jelly Spa. My daughter loves the notepad and I’m most excited to continue to use the Dream Serum to see if it helps clear up my dark marks. Compared to previous boxes, this month's box has fewer items but many of the items are of a much higher value. The Dream Serum alone is almost equal to the cost of the box itself. This month's estimated retail value is $168.91 making this box a really amazing deal considering the $39.98 price ($34.99 + $4.99 shipping). That is more than 4x the price!
To Wrap Up:
Can you still get this box if you sign up today? No. If you subscribe today, your first box will be the May “Ritual” box.
Value Breakdown: The box cost $34.99 + $4.99 shipping (US), which means that each of the 9 beauty and wellness items in the box has an average cost of $4.44.
