Trendy Memo April 2019 Review
Bombash & Earley Botanical Skincare Co.- Mango Lip Scrub – Retail Value $10.00
This exfoliating mango lip scrub is granular, taste sweet, and has a fruity aroma. The scrub consists of sugar, coconut oil, flavor, and color. Make sure to stir contents before using; I made the mistake of not doing this and it was mainly liquid since the ingredients weren’t mixed. Once I mixed the scrub I was able to apply to my lips and massage all over to hydrate and exfoliate my lips. I use lip scrubs weekly and I can always use more.
Lady Jayne – Eye Mask “I WOKE UP LIKE THIS” – Retail Value $8.00
This polyester satin eye mask has black lashes displayed under, “I WOKE UP LIKE THIS”. The eye mask was snug over my eyes as well as, the elastic strap giving me enough stretch across the back of my head. A lady can never have too many eye masks. I rely on these for a good nights sleep.
Mini Pouch – Retail Value $8.00
This mini pouch in gunmetal is durable, tear-resistant, and made from washable paper making it hand washable. It’s 3” W x 3” H. Perfect to throw in my purse.

Vegan Leather Card Holder – Retail Value $15.00
This camel vegan leather card holder has a lined interior, two accordion pockets, and snap closure. I was able to fit 10 cards between the two accordion holders, nicely. I usually don’t carry card holders; I just put my cards along with my money in my smartphone wallet. I may pass on to a friend or put up in swaps.
NotePad – Estimated Value $9.00
This is the cutest notepad. The notepad is a vintage dress with a gold glitter top while the reaming parts of the dress are not embellished. There’s a small hanger on top, don’t know where I would hang this item. Any ideas? The inside of the notepad has 75 unlined pages for taking notes. I was unable to find this product on Lady Jayne’s website so the price is an estimate after looking at other notepads on the site. This is almost too cute to use, more suited for display.
Sparkly, Confetti Pen
This rose gold confetti pen has blue ink. The texture of the pen is rough due to it being covered in colorful confetti. The shiny, colorful confetti texture with the rose gold accents will make signing any document or papers seem fun and make me feel fancy. While working at your desk or home office it’s important to have a set of pens that work and this subscription always has me covered. Unfortunately, there was no manufacturer information for this item so I was unable to find a price value online.

The Verdict: I received six items this month but could only estimate a total value of $50.00 for five of them. Normally, their monthly boxes have fluctuated between $40-$50+. Hopefully, their rebrand that’s supposed to launch in Fall 2019 will have a higher box value and outside of the box home office/desk accessories to offer their subscribers. This month’s Trendy Memo had a variety of items not just for your office, such as the mango lib scrub, eye mask, cardholder, and mini pouch. The mini pouch can be stored in your desk drawer with loose change for those times you want a drink from the vending machine and possible hang or place the cute notepad on your desk. As for the cardholder and the eye mask those or useful items that are good to have around. This subscription box has dressed my desk with clever, cute desk accessories as well as fun items for my personal use. I look forward to the rebrand and all the best with the planning and curating of future boxes that will “wow” their subscribers.
