Each month the founder Mr. Strong sends a handwritten note.
Mitra’s African Nylon Net Body Scrubber – Retail Value $9.99
This large nylon net intends to gently exfoliate my body. It’s odd to have a body scrubber be a large nylon net, but I was curious to how well it would work. I was disappointed in this product: it’s too large and I ended up scrunching the nylon to scrub my body. The only good thing is since it’s so large I was able to throw the nylon net over my shoulder down my back to scrub. Other than that it was awkward to maneuver since it was so large, and I had to bunch up the net to exfoliate my body which was cumbersome. There was a light exfoliating scrub from the nylon net.
Here is a close-up of the weave pattern on the nylon net body scrubber.
So Posh Beauty Bamboo Charcoal & Mint, 2oz – Estimated Value $7.50 (Buy an 8 oz jar for $30.00, found here for $20.00)
Bath products are a waste on me since I dislike taking baths and prefer showers. I opted to soak my feet. The bath crystals dissolved in the running water and my feet were soothed by the hot water and bath crystals. It was a relaxing sensation. There was a black ring once the water drained so, take note when using. The bath crystals consist of black lava salt, dead sea salt, and essential oil. The black lava salt alleviates aches and pains relieves my dry, itchy skin, and opens my pores. The dead sea salt heals wounds, soothes irritable skin, and softened my dry skin.
Scent_sά-tional Soaps Tahitian Romance Sugar Scrub 4 oz – Estimated Value $8.00 (Buy a 10 oz jar for $19.99)
This exfoliating sugar scrub left my skin smooth and soft. The scrub was slightly gritty and as I continued to massage the scrub on my body the texture became creamy. The aroma from the scrub has a funky smell. Let me know if you experienced this, as well. Also, the scrub consists of sugar, coconut oil, sunflower oil, emulsifying wax, and soy.
Mitra’s Guava Goji Body Wash, 2oz – Retail Value $6.50
This lightly scented gel body wash was creamy and sudsy and left my skin soft and clean. The body wash is sulfate free, vegan, soy free, and paraben free.
Phillip Ashley Chocolates-2 pieces – Buy a 12-piece signature box for $45
Similar to most Zaaboxes, I received a small box with two sweet dessert chocolates, wild strawberry that was sweet with a strawberry cream center and Japanese cherry blossom with a dark cherry chocolate center. Both chocolates were sweet with a creamy center that had a fruity taste. The chocolate is handcrafted in small batches using the finest ingredients with fair trade chocolate. Also, chocolates from this manufacturer are a monthly staple in this subscription box, which is a nice treat.
The Verdict: As usual this month’s box, products were geared for my body which left my skin soft, smooth, and happy. The nylon net body scrubber was a huge fail and the sugar scrub that left my skin smooth and soft was a favorite. I feel pampered each month as well as blushing from the handwritten note from Mr.Strong that’s included monthly. Subscribers can opt out the note if they like. This subscription is a hit with the variety of bath and body products it was a nice to change to have a bath accessory such a the body scrubber too bad it was a huge fail, in my opinion. This month, I received an estimated $31.99 worth of products (not including the chocolates) for $39.95.
