May 2019 BuddhiBox Yoga Box Review
BuddhiBox always includes a card with a mantra or saying on it. On the reverse is this month's item list. Most of the products they include are cruelty-free, organic, vegan, or more than one!
Also included this month is a yoga pose card.
We also received a 7-day trial card for a dream healing online membership offered through The Dreaming Yogi which includes a digital workshop booklet download. Our card gives the item a listed value of $25.00, though I generally refrain from including digital downloads in my overall value wrap-up.
Moon Infusions Calm Moon Drops, 3.1 fl oz – Retail Value $50.00
Oooh, these are interesting! This rather large bottle contains a formula with green tea extracts, chamomile, passion flower extracts, and Sceletium. All of these combine to form a liquid you can drop into your favorite beverage that should help put you in a calmer state of mind, kind of like yoga class in a glass! Or water bottle. Whatever you consume liquids out of! There is also a little stevia in here which gives it a barely sweet taste. I actually really liked these, though I am not sure if they had a relaxing effect. I am always looking for ways to get more green tea in my rotation and these make it super easy.
Indo-Love 'Yoga Everyday' Lotus Cuff - Listed Value $20.00
This lightweight cuff is handmade in California out of aluminum. I like cuff bracelets because they are oh-so stackable and minimal. This has a great 'yoga every day' mantra reminder, and as someone who has been 'yoga every month' recently, I kind of needed to head this! It is adjustable and features to very cute little lotus flowers on each end.
Aid Through Trade Roll-On Bracelet - Retail Value $15.00 (found here for $12.00)
We received a second bracelet this month but it is very different from the cuff! This roll-type beaded bracelet is handmade in Nepal by artisans who are paid fair wages. It was very comfortable to roll on and wear, and was very stackable!
Here's a look at both bracelets on.
Mart Boomie Block Print Clutch – Listed Value $25.00
I personally would not classify this pouch as a true clutch because it is only about 6 x 4 inches. It is the perfect size for an iPhone and your ID though! The geometric triangle print is beautifully done in slightly metallic gold ink and the zipper features a coordinating gold mini-tassel.
Me Time Botanicals Morning Perk Eye + Face Serum, 10 ml - Retail Value $25.00
I love using rollers on my under eye area and this formula is a big wakeup call to tired skin! Formulated with caffeine and loads of fatty acids, it is a delicate skin dream. The roller itself is metal, which makes for a cooling effect when you apply.
Lavender Sachet
Also included was a little lavender sachet which smelled amazing. I like to use these buds in my delicates drawer or I will take some loose buds and burn them (under close supervision) in an abalone shell for a beautifully fragrant smoke.
The Verdict: BuddhiBox Yoga Box was really great this month. The calming moon drops were the highlight, along with the eye roller. I also think both bracelets were lovely, and they were different enough to be combined in the same box without it feeling too jewelry-heavy. The little mini-clutch was a very pretty addition that would make a great little pouch for jewelry or sunglasses. I couldn't find retail values for everything this month, but the drops alone were worth $50, which makes this box well worth it.
To Wrap Up:
Can you still get this box if you sign up today? No, you will receive the June box. Order by the 8th of the month to receive that month's box.
Value Breakdown: This box costs $34.95 + $5 shipping, which means that each of the 6 items in the box (not including the drawstring pouch or digital downloads) has an average cost of $6.65.
