Fabletics is a monthly fitness apparel subscription co-founded by Kate Hudson. You can shop Fabletics in two ways—you can shop the regular store, or you can sign up for their VIP membership. VIP memberships work like this:
- Take the Fabletics quiz, which will let the company know your size, style, and fitness needs.
- Each month, Fabletics will curate looks that match your preferences. According to the website, outfits start at $19.00 for new members. (I'm not sure if "new members" refers to just your first order, though.)
- Shop those looks at 40-50% off what you'd get just paying retail, or skip the month. You have to make your decision by the 5th of the month. If do neither, the $49.95 monthly membership fee will be saved to your account as a credit, which you can put towards other outfits later.
- As you shop, you'll also earn points that can be applied to accessories and other cool fitness essentials.
The key takeaway here is that this subscription won't automatically send you monthly packages like other services do. You have to hop into your account and either decide to add items to your card or skip it. Subscriptions can be canceled at any time, though you do have to call into Fabletics customer service to do it.

Fabletics Bicycle Shorts & Sports Bra Set Review
It's common for me to get Hello Fresh coupons in my Fabletics orders—I got one last month, and one this month as well. (Read our reviews to learn more and get a discount off your first Hello Fresh box when you use this link!)
Magnetic Outfit, Size Medium Top, Size Large Bottoms - Retail Price $94.90, Member Price $59.95 (currently on sale for $29.97)
Shorts aren't my favorite thing ever. I'm short, and shorts tend to make my legs look even shorter. But after a few impossibly sweaty summer roller derby practices (and one game in an awesome, but not-at-all-air-conditioned arena), I can't be bothered with vanity. I need some shorts, stat!
Fabletics has been offering some longer, bicycle-style shorts, so I decided to take this opportunity to give them a try.
I really like the big wide waistband on these PowerHold shorts. They sit solidly on my hips, not wriggling up nor down as I move. The opaque fabric is thick with a brushed-cotton texture that seems a bit more breathable than shinier, smoother styles I've tried. The mesh panels on the side offer a little extra air flow, too. And did you see? These knee-length shorts have pockets! While I won't be keep anything in these pockets while I'm on my skates at practice, I could see tucking my key or credit card in the pocket if I'm out for a run or at the gym.
The bra that came with the set has a similar thick quality to it, as well as a few mesh details. The most interesting aspect of this bra is that the wide back panel on the racerback design actually doubles as a pocket—there's a little panel that folds over the top of the pocket, holding it shut. I've never thought of storing something on my back, but maybe I'll give it a shot on a jog. The bra itself feels super compressive—it takes a bit of wriggling to get into it, and I feel firmly held in once it's on. I don't think it's the wrong size or anything, but it is an all-around snug fit. The bottom band, in particular, is stiffer and stays put reliably well.
The Verdict: So far, I'm really loving my Fabletics shorts. PowerHold styles are some of my favorites from Fabletics—I love its breathability and the way it feels like it's firmly hugging and supporting my body. I could see collecting a few more pairs of these high-waisted shorts for myself. They're functional and comfortable, and long enough that I'm not worrying about them shimmying up my thighs or pinching into any pudge. And the bra is great, too, especially for high-intensity workouts.
To Wrap Up:
Can you still get this box if you sign up today? The shorts are unfortunately sold out, but the bra is still available in certain sizes here.
Value Breakdown: This outfit cost $94.90 at retail, but the member price was just $59.95, including free shipping and returns. That's a discount of about 37%.
