June 2019 MoonBox “Breathe” Review
The first card MoonBox provides is a helpful survey that allows you to take a moment to write down your intentions this moon cycle, plan how to take action on said intentions and what to leave behind and learn from this phase.
Moonbox sends out an info guide every month describing the featured items included in the box as well as for instructions on how they should be used. It also gives a general overview of the major cosmic events happening this month. This month has a New Moon in Gemini, which brings forth Gemini’s sociable and curious energy. This is also a great time to try balance energies; is something or someone taking more from you than it is giving? Shedding toxic energies or balancing uneven relationships is crucial to keep a steady pace.
Wooden Lunar Calendar/Collectible Crystal Card
Every month Moonbox includes a stylish wooden lunar calendar with the featured collectible crystal card on the back.
Alchemy of Yoga Bandana - Retail Value $18
This is Alchemy of Yoga’s second appearance in Moonbox; we received a pin from this brand in April’s box with the same fire symbol as what’s seen in the middle of this bandana. I am really feeling this moonchild goes camping art style, which is made even cooler screen printed on this black bandana. Each bandana has been smudged and energetically charged prior to shipping, so it is all ready for you to wear or to use as a tarot or altar cloth upon arrival.
Savvy Stone Elixirs Moldavite Essence Tincture - Retail Value $10
Used as a transformative tool, this tincture should be applied underneath your tongue twice daily for ascension and to clear blockages. It smells like alcohol and has a watery texture. Moldavite, a stone said to release fixed ideas and outworn beliefs, mixed with 21% Organic Prairie Vodka make up this tincture, so, unfortunately, I couldn’t try it out. I never received a product like this, but I’m very curious as to how it works.
Shakti Healing Sanctuary Moonstone Meditation Oil - Retail Value $10
Shakti Healing Sanctuary states “Moonstone assists in connecting to the Shakti, creative life force energy that resides within,” which is so fitting for this momma-to-be! I love applying essential oils after a relaxing bath and before bedtime. This lavender-heavy blend is beyond relaxing and claims to hold the intention of peace, love, joy and fluidity - the perfect mix for a good night’s sleep.
Love In Letters Designs Hand Drawn Stationery - Listed Value $10
I am a big snail mail enthusiast, so I love receiving pretty stationery and greeting cards from subscription boxes. Each card is hand-lettered with love by Love in Letters Designs founder, Kailee; she has a few other unique selections available in her shop as well as the You’re a Gem and Gypsy Card both featured in this month’s box. Each card, made of weighty cardstock, is blank inside and comes with a plain white envelope.
Lapis Lazuli:
Use for discovery, honesty & authenticity. Associated signs: Cancer & Scorpio.
After nesting the entire month of May to prepare for this fall, I could definitely use a stone to help me breathe. This pretty blue and gold accented stone can also help to achieve authenticity by opening up our perspective and just breathing into the unknown. In the next few months, I think it is going to be super important to connect with myself and make some new discoveries; hopefully, this stone will help guide me on the right path.
Bonus: Moonbox Roll-on
This Moonbox branded roll-on was not listed in the regular-sized Moonbox subscription, but it was in the Mini Moonbox, so I am not sure if this was a happy accident or a bonus that is included in each Moonbox. With notes of Neroli, Myrrh and Grapefruit, this citrusy blend is sure to lift anyone’s spirit and assist with the box’s theme, to breathe.
The Verdict: Gaia MoonBox delivers another great box. I was happy to see a wearable piece featured this month, and although I couldn’t partake in the Moldavite tincture, I like the idea of receiving something a little different, making this month worth the cost for me. I also enjoy displaying the stylish wooden calendar on my vanity and welcoming a new deluxe crystal to my collection each month.
