Each month, new lingerie looks are added to their size- and skin-tone-inclusive catalog, which features a mix of flirty, romantic, and casual pieces. Shop for something new, skip the month to avoid a charge, or have $49.95 saved to your account to use in the future. Members also get discounts off retail prices all month long, plus first dibs on limited edition products.

Savage X Fenty Notebook
Each Xtra VIP box I've received has included some kind of collectible brand merch. This month, it's a Savage X Fenty notebook covered in a rainbow of Rihannas. I might feel a little awkward using this notebook at work, but I could totally see using it as a place for indulgent shopping wishlists or even as a dream journal.

Black Lace Blindfold
Savage X Fenty is all about feeling comfortable and confident in your own unique sexuality, so it's no surprise their Xtra VIP boxes usually include a cheeky little accessory, such as this month's black lace blindfold. I guess it's more of a mask than a blindfold, since you can see through the intricate floral lace. Because of its silky finish, it's comfortable and smooth and ties into quite an elegant bow. If I don't use this for it's intended purpose, I could see using it as a finishing touch to a ponytail—there's something sophisticated, yet flirty about a high pony tied with a floppy, black silk bow.

Classic Satin Slip, Size M - Retail Price $49.00, Member Price $39
This might just be my favorite item in my wardrobe right now, not just in my lingerie drawer! I've been wearing this semi-sheer slip as a nightgown and as a cool, comfortable piece to putter around the house when I get home from work. I don't know if I've ever owned a slip before—or at least I've never owned a slip that could be worn both as an undergarment and as cozy jammies. Slip life is blissful! Especially in the face of rising summer heat and humidity, I find the smooth, soft, faux-silk (100% polyester) fabric to be so cool and comfy. The cut accommodates my broader back (I'm a 36B) and hips (I typically wear a size 10 in jeans), and the pale pink color makes the whole look feel so romantic and classy.

Metallic Lace Bralette, Size M - Retail Value $49.00, Member Price $39.00
There's also a coordinating set of lingerie in the box. The first piece is this bralette, which features light mesh cups with feather-like lace patterns. The V of the neckline is a little wider than other unlined bras I've gotten from Savage X Fenty. It sits so that there's plenty of cleavage between the inner edge of each cup, but that also means that it can wriggle out of place rather easily if you're up and about. I mean, if I'm wearing a sheer bra, I'm not terribly concerned about things slipping out. It's more of a comfort thing in the end. Long story short, I wouldn't recommend this as an everyday, errand-running, carrying-five-tote-bags-of-groceries bra, but for fancier or more private occasions, it'll do just fine. And wow does it ever feel pretty. There's just something fairy-tale-ish about the delicate design and hint of metallic thread.

Metallic Lace High-Waisted Thong, Size L - Retail Price $30.00, Member Price $24.00
And here's the matching thong. I was surprised by how much I liked this high-waisted look—I was worried it'd look a little too '90s-unitard, but it's actually really flattering on me. As with the bra, it's comfy, delicate, and romantic, with plenty of mesh and graceful lace detail.
The Verdict: This Savage X Fenty Xtra VIP box was awesome! As someone who can get stuck in a very functional underwear rut (just black cotton boyshort after black cotton boyshort), I've found this membership to be a refreshing break from the norm. These pieces in particular really awakened the pretty side of my aesthetic—they all felt very '60s-romance-filmed-in-a-French-apartment. I also continue to be impressed with the quality and fit of Savage X Fenty lingerie. Everything has washed so nicely and suits my body surprisingly well.
