Spring 2019 Super Geek Box Prime Review

Super Geek Box Prime Spring 2019 - Review

This volume of Super Geek Box Prime features six items across five franchises.

Super Geek Box Prime Spring 2019 - Booklet 1

It comes with this little info card that details each item.

Super Geek Box Prime Spring 2019 - Booklet 2

On the back of the info card is a sneak peek at what might appear in the next volume.

Super Geek Box Prime Spring 2019 - Button

Past Super Geek Boxes came with a little button, so naturally, the Prime edition would come with a big button. Hooray for Kirby! My 11-year-old adores Kirby.

Super Geek Box Prime Spring 2019 - Sweatshirt 2Super Geek Box Prime Spring 2019 - Sweatshirt 1

Rick and Morty Sweatshirt – Estimated Value $25

My 13-year-old son jumped for joy, literally, over this sweatshirt! He loves Rick and Morty! So do I! It's nice and warm, and it feels pretty well made and durable. This is a Super Geek Box Exclusive.

Super Geek Box Prime Spring 2019 - Puzzle 1Super Geek Box Prime Spring 2019 - Puzzle 2

Star Wars 1000 pc. Jigsaw Puzzle by Funko – Retail Value $9.90

My kids are not crazy about jigsaw puzzles, but they totally love Star Wars! They also really love Funko Pops, so they were thrilled to get this puzzle! I think they may actually sit down and put it together.

Super Geek Box Prime Spring 2019 - Socks 1Super Geek Box Prime Spring 2019 - Socks 3Super Geek Box Prime Spring 2019 - Socks 2

Mix & Match Mr. Meesocks (3 pair) – Estimated Value $20

These socks are another exclusive Rick and Morty item from Super Geek Box. Meesocks! Look at how cute they are! They are also nice and soft.

Super Geek Box Prime Spring 2019 - Cup 1Super Geek Box Prime Spring 2019 - Cup 2Super Geek Box Prime Spring 2019 - Cup 3

Batman Travel Tumbler by Zak! Designs – Retail Value $5.99 (Buy three for $17.98)

I'm actually not sure what the original retail value of this tumbler is as they are sold out on the Zak! website. A tumbler of the same size in a different graphic is available for $6.99. But in any case, I recently learned we are a Marvel household. That did not stop my 13-year-old from grabbing this tumbler and claiming it as his own! I like it because it is BPA-free and helps prevent spills.

Super Geek Box Prime Spring 2019 - Plush

Kirby Plush Keychain by Nintendo – Retail Value $10.50

Once again, the 11-year-old is psyched! We love Kirby over here! This little guy is actually no longer for sale online anywhere outside of eBay. He's so special! He was part of a limited design by Nintendo during their 20th anniversary. He went straight onto my son's backpack, of course!

Super Geek Box Prime Spring 2019 - Mouse pad

Fortnite Llama Mouse Pad – Estimated Value $10

My sons are both obsessed with Fortnite, so this was a nice surprise for them! It's a glowing llama! I think my 13-year-old is the only one in the house who has an actual mouse, so this went to him. He loves it!

Verdict: My sons LOVE Super Geek Box Prime! It seems to hit their favorite franchises, and the items are good for their age range. My 13-year-old's favorite item was the sweatshirt, and the 11-year-old's favorite was the Kirby keychain. It's hard to comment on the value as three items have unknown values, but some of the items are exclusive to Super Geek Box Prime. If my estimates are near correct, the total value would be around $81.39, which is well over the cost of the box + shipping ($66). I feel confident that the value is there with this box.

To Wrap Up:

Can you still get this box if you sign up today? Unfortunately, no. The spring box has passed and the summer box has sold out, but orders are currently being accepted for the October box!

Value Breakdown: This box was $66, including shipping. If you subtract the known values for the keychain ($10.50), the tumbler ($5.99), and the puzzle ($9.90), that leaves $39.61 for the other three items. That's an average of $13.20 per item.

Omg I feel like an idiot after reading this comment. I wish I would have read it before subscribing. Still no box and no response to my email besides an automated email reply. Saying their hamsters are turning their wheels. Something like that.

I definitely recommend filing a dispute with your credit card company before too much time passes.

I feel obligated to share this. Buyer beware! I never received Volume 2, which supposedly shipped back in December. I received no response from multiple customer service emails. I received no response to inquiries on their Facebook page. I was aware of several other subscribers having the same issue. I filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and they failed to respond to that inquiry. Ultimately, I filed a dispute with my credit card. They failed to respond to the dispute and I was luckily refunded for the box. I never received anything and there was never any effort to respond to my concerns. Very disappointing as my kids would love this subscription but I cannot support such poor and dishonest business practices.
