Yogi Surprise is a health and wellness subscription box that sends you natural goodies each month. Some items may be specifically for yoga, but in general, this is more of a lifestyle box. Yogi Surprise also offers a monthly Jewelry Box (read our reviews here!) and a Men’s Box!
This is a review of the Yogi Surprise Lifestyle box, which is $44.95 a month.
This box was sent to us at no cost for review. (Check out the review process post to learn more about how we review boxes.)
I don’t know if this is new or just something I am now noticing, but once you take everything out of the box you see Namaste!

Yogi Surprise “Mudra” May Review
Here is the info sheet for this month’s box. This month’s theme is “Mudra.”
Each month we receive a new yoga sequence.
Som Sleep, 8.1 oz – Buy a pack of four for $11.99
Over the past few weeks I have taken up climbing since there is a free climbing wall at the UREC, so the one thing I don't need right now is help falling asleep. This will be chilling out in my fridge until I really feel like I will benefit from the vitamin B6, magnesium, and a proprietary blend of L-Theanine, GABA, and melatonin. One can has 40 calories, and along with cane sugar, this does have erythritol and stevia.
We also received a coupon for a free four-pack if we pay $5 shipping.
Higher Frequency Frequency Awakening Moisturizer, 0.24 oz (This product hasn’t been released for sale yet- learn more here)
I think it's neat that we got a sample of a product not available for retail yet, and I am a big fan of CBD skincare. This moisturizer is a blend of CBD and grapeseed oil, and as a whole, I thought this moisturizer had a good ingredients list- but it will probably be too heavy for those with oily skin thanks to the shea butter, glycerin, and jojoba oil that are also in this.
Bliss of Greece Ancient Remedy Oil, 4 oz – Retail Value $14.99
This multi-purpose oil is a blend of organic, extra virgin, cold-pressed olive oil, organic almond oil, organic grapeseed oil, organic lavender oil, and vitamin E. It has a light lavender scent, and it is insanely nourishing without being too heavy. While you can use this all over your body, I have been using it on the ends of my hair and my cuticles, and I am happy with how hydrating it is.
Red Aventurine Stone
Red Aventurine is a manifestation stone that increases your life force in order to get you into action, and it is also known to boost vitality and mental alertness. I thought receiving this small stone was neat, and I would like to see Yogi Surprise continue to do this in future boxes.
Reverse Karma Pyramid Incense Cones – Retail Value $8.95
I have never been one for incense, but these are growing on me. A few days after this box arrived I was in a bad mood and felt very antsy due to a personal situation, and that’s when I busted one of these bad boys out.
Since I don’t have a regular incense burner I just stuck some rice in an oven-safe ramekin and lit this. When it was about halfway through I moved it from my living room to my bedroom, and I don’t know if it was the scents of nag champa, frankincense, and myrrh or the ritual of burning, but I definitely felt like the air in my apartment was more clear when I was done and that I could breathe deeper.
Rising Tide Scarf – Estimated Value $25 (based on other scarves here)
I couldn’t find this exact scarf on the Rising Tide website, so I took the value estimate based on the wide assortment of scarves they offer. Subscribers could receive a scarf or a Yoga Chime, which I think are two pretty different items to have a variation for. The scarf was made by an artisan in a developing country, and the brand has a mission of improving the standard of living in countries where the artisans reside.
Nuts N More Salted Caramel, 1.1 oz – Buy a pack of 10 for $14.99
This is a nut butter made with peanuts, caramel flavor, sea salt, and whey protein isolate (my protein supplement of choice!). This only has two grams of net carbs, and one pouch has 188 calories and 12 grams of protein. This actually perfectly aligns with my current diet, so while I prefer to chew my food I am keeping this pouch in my purse for the next time a hunger craving strikes- this would be tasty on an apple or some celery, or eaten just like regular peanut butter!
The Brothers Apothecary “Insight” Essential Oil, 0.35 oz – Retail Value $25
This essential oil roller contains 100 mg of CBD per bottle, and it is a blend of clary sage, ylang-ylang, blue tansy, white fir, juniper, and frankincense. For me, the blue tansy was the predominant scent, which isn’t my favorite but it isn’t terrible. My preferred way of using rollers like this is by rolling it on my pulse points before a yoga session, which I think is fitting considering the theme of the box.
The Verdict: I look forward to receiving Yogi Surprise every month, and I thought this month was fun, even though the curation was a bit varied. I would love to see Yogi Surprise continue to include CBD products and stones. Value-wise, the info card says this box has a total value of $83.
