This box comes with a booklet detailing each of the items included. We have 11 (!!!) different items this month, so strap in!

Juice Beauty SPF 30 Oil-Free Moisturizer, 2 fl oz. - Full Size! Retail Value $30.00

I am feeling like I am losing my mind because I actually really like this Juice product! If you read my reviews, you know I have yet to like anything from this brand because my skin is super dry, and I find that their fruit-based formulas are better for oily skin. This sunscreen has a wonderfully tart scent of fruits and herbs. The white cream takes a little extra work to rub in, but I thought it was worth the extra effort. The finish on my skin feels a little like I used a primer. This is part of their blemish-free line, so it might be drying if I use it daily, but for now, I am totally loving it.

100% Pure Bright Eyes Mask Single - Retail Value $7.00

Will and I recently relocated our bedroom to the street-facing side of the house and my sleep has been crappy ever since from car headlights. Putting curtains up is a project for this weekend, but my face totally shows the bad sleep bags I dread. This is my second pair of eye pads in the last two days, like the universe knows I need them! These gels are a cheery lime color and did a great job of depuffing my eyes while delivering a surge of moisture.

ARCONA Cranberry Gommage, 1 oz - Estimated Value $14.12 (Buy a full-size 3.4 oz here for $48.00)

While I disliked the overly sweet fruit scent of this product (it reminded me more of grapes than cranberries?) I really liked the scrubbiness of it, so I might just have to suck it up. My skin felt so soft after using this! I did apply an extra bit of moisturizer after I used it, but that is just best practice for anyone after a decent scrubbing.

This Works In Transit Camera Close-Up, 0.51 fl oz - Estimated Value $20.78 (Buy a full-size 1.35 fl oz for $55.00)

This product is a 3-in-1 mask, moisturizer, and primer. Interesting! I love having different products for different purposes because it makes me feel more in control of my skincare routine, and let's face it, fancier. This multipurpose product would be perfect for a skincare minimalist or for my weekend bag. A few glasses of wine on vacay and my skincare goes out the window. It does have a pretty strong scent, but I didn't mind. It left my skin looking really hydrated and calm.

dpHUE Apple Cider Vinegar Hair Rinse, 1 fl oz -Estimated Value $3.00 (Buy a full-size 8.5 oz for $35.00)

I have tried this product before, and it isn't for me. I like a really strong shampoo, and this is more gentle. The good news is that it doesn't leave that vinegar smell in your hair and scalp!

Koh Gen Do Cleansing Spa Water Cloths, 10 count - Estimated Value $16.00 (Buy 30 for $48.00)

Wow! I can't image ever paying $48 for a pack of makeup remover wipes! Does anyone do this? These 100% cotton wipes did feel very sturdy, but aside from easily removing my makeup, I didn't notice a huge difference between these or any other decent quality wipe I use. What am I missing?

Bioderma Sensibio Foaming Gel, 1.5 fl oz - Estimated Value $4.03 (Buy a full-size 6.67 oz for $14.90)

This super mild cleanser had no real scent and a slight foaming action. It did a fine job of removing my makeup without drying my skin. As far as cleansers go, my face is not sensitive enough to sway me from using formulas with more scents, bells, and whistles, but if yours is I can imagine this would be a great choice! The super affordable price is another big plus.

Eyeko Sport Waterproof Mascara, 4 ml - Estimated Value $11.25 (Buy a full-size 8 ml for $22.50)

I don't use waterproof mascaras because they cause me to lose lashes when I have to scrub them off after a day of flawless coverage. Using an oil cleanser helps with this, but at the end of the day, I am fine with a normal formula. I know loads of people love them, especially those of you with more sporty or beachy lifestyles. This formula worked fine, coated my lashes and give them a nice black finish.

HUM Nutrition Beauty zzZz Supplement, 3 tablets - Estimated Value $1.00 (Buy a full-size bottle of 30 tablets for $10.00)

I have zero trouble falling asleep, so these weren't for me. It was nice that a 3 day supply was included so you can test it out for more than one night.

Amazing Cosmetics AMAZINGCONCEALER® in 'Medium Beige', 0.07 fl oz - Estimated Value $9.80 (Buy a full-size 0.2 fl oz for $28.00)

I am glad this sample was so tiny because the shade will only work for some subscribers. This color was way, way too warm and dark for me, and I am sure it will be entirely too light for other subscribers. If I am looking at this purely from a formula perspective and not a shade one, I really did like it! The coverage was intense, and it took very little product to coat a lot of space. If this was in my shade, I would be very inclined to mix a little of it with a lot of moisturizer, and then apply with a brush in a sort of better-coverage homemade sheer foundation.

Not even in my wildest dreams.

Juliette Has A Gun Moscow Mule Eau de Parfum, 0.057 fl oz - Estimated Value $2.33 (Buy a full-size 3.3 fl oz for $94.50, on sale from $135.00)

I have so many thoughts on this perfume. Are you ready to go down the perfume-nerd rabbit hole?

I first became aware of this brand when they released Not A Perfume in 2010. The whole idea was that the perfume wasn't a perfume because it was a single note, Cetalox, which is an alternative to ambergris, a costly perfume ingredient traditionally made from whale digestive tract waste. (This is 100% true!) Ambergris and its alternatives are commonly used in perfumery as a musky base note and to give it longevity. In the Not a Perfume scent, Cetalox was the only note, making it delightfully minimal, edgy, and perfect for someone who may not be your typical perfume wearer. This perfume honestly smells exactly like that older perfume, pure musk, but with an added citrus twist. On my skin, it suffers from pitiful longevity and lackluster sillage, though it is a fine enough scent, especially if it lasts longer on your skin!

Verdict: This $24.95 BeautyFIX box has an estimated value of $119.31, which I am really happy with. I had to eat crow this month, because that Juice sunscreen was great. I am sorry Juice Beauty. I also loved the much-needed eye pads, cranberry scrub, and multi-use cream. The vinegar hair rinse was really the only true dud, as even though the concealer was not my shade, the sample gave me a nice feel for what the formula was like. I might order my shade in it. I will likely give the sleep supplements to my husband, a notorious night person who needs all the help he can get. I love perfume samples, even if they aren't my favorite scent because I keep a fragrance journal and I always love being able to add a new addition. This wasn't my absolute favorite box from this subscription, but there was still value here and half of the fun is in trying new things!

I love natural/vegan beauty products, Korean skincare, unique jewelry, and weird candies from far away places. When I am not waiting for my next exciting box you can find me painting or taking photographs of interesting people. I never leave home without pug hair somewhere on my shirt and a bold lipstick on my smile.

The reason those wipes are so expensive is that those are from Koh Gen Do. I have their makeup and liquid highlighter in rotation and those were not cheap, at all. Luckily, I’ve received several packs of the 10-count wipes for traveling in subscription boxes. I do not think I’d ever pay that price for their wipes, though. I don’t walk around burning money, either, haha.

Burts Bees and a lot of other brands mentioned in comments are plenty sufficient. Currently, I use Sephora’s brand with a scrubby texture on one side, and those really help remove any pore-clogging primers and sunscreens, etc.

Liked this box ok……I love my Not A Perfume….so I was curious about the Moscow Mule! I liked it ok…but my mom liked it even better…so it is hers now! She also took the face wipes! I liked the Juice and didnt think I would….so pleasantly surprised as well!

I’m a recent subscriber, so the July box was only my second from BF. I loved everything, especially the gommage, the sunscreen, the wipes, and the fragrance. I, too, cannot use the concealer because it is much too dark for my fair skin. I am really enjoying box subscriptions and am trying items that I would never have discovered on my own. It’s a terrific value and a lovely experience.

This box was full.of repeats for me. They already sent the cranberry gommage in a smaller size a few months back as well as the This Works. I am actually pretty shocked that a full size This Works primer mask would be $55 and the small sample we were given is worth $20 considering it is a product made in China. I don’t use made in China products on my body or face and I usually give the unwanted products to my nieces this one will be going in the trash. I would research the ingredients in this product fully before using it or just toss it to be safe.

This works primer is one of my favorites. If you are that concerned about products being made in the PRC you should honestly consider cancelling your sub boxes except for the ones that truly care to natural beauty products. Everything is made in China. Everything. Do you do the same with all your household goods and your clothing? Millions of people inside China also use these products. And it’s actually incredibly wasteful to throw away these little containers we all get every month as it is not to mention without even giving the product inside to someone who would use it.

Meh. I have not been loving BeautyFix AT all lately and this is no exception. I’m an older woman and have always loved BF for their skincare. But the teeny sizes and boxes like this are making me rethink my subscription. That perfume is GODAWFUL and I don’t see a single product I’ll be using. Methinks they have a recent college grad curating…

I agree I cancelled bc there product sizes got smaller and smaller which is a shame I used to love love BF , test tube is a bit and run sometimes great as well … sighs… too bad I love love skin care

I agree with you! A few hit n miss usually but these are ALOT of repeats and misses for me. I’m 42 and am into skincare but some of it is just not for mature skin I dont guess

I just used those wipes while on vacation and they were very nice. Would I pay $48 for a full size? Probably not. I do pay a lot for the Nuface wipes. They’re about $1 a piece and I absolutely LOVE them.

Ugh I cancelled my sub because of receiving so many teeny tiny samples but now I’m thinking I may have jumped the gun. I have very oily skin and am always looking for a great spf since I use year round. And I love a gritty scrub. I think I would use 90% of this box, if the concealer is the right color for me.

I bought 4 packs of face wipes during Ultas 21 days of beauty and I’m sitting here and for the life of me can’t get the brand name to come to me lol, but anyways I paid less than $20 for the 4 packs and that was a lot for me lol. AHhhh they were Patchology wipes!!! Sorry I just had a brain fart moment!!! Lol I could never get myself to pay that much for one pack of wipes!!

Reply ButtonReply

Luna

Have you ever tried Ulta’s brand of face wipes? They’re actually pretty good! They’re large with a slight texture, super soft, super gentle, and takes makeup off in a snap. I’ve never had to buy any because I always get them in gwps (I just got another 5-pack in the mail yesterday. lol). I only use them to remove makeup, and always follow with a 2nd cleanse, so I’m not sure how they would do on their own though. They’re currently on sale for $8 for two 25-count packs, but typically the two pack sells for $10. Not bad!

Reply ButtonReply

Jill M

I’ve never tried them, but I think I will now. Like you though, I’m always getting them as GWPs too lol. I always do the same as you by removing my makeup at my vanity with wipes and a balm or Kate Somervilles cold cream. Love that stuff!! Then follow by cleansing. Thanks for the tip 😊

I forgot to cancel and ended up enjoying this month. This was also the first Juice product that worked for me, but it does leave a white cast on my pale skin so I do not think it is universal.
I am probably the only one who has purchased the Koh Gen Do wipes several times before. I treat myself when I travel to these as they are the only wipe I feel clean enough not to rinse or wash my face after. No stickiness no feeling of residue on my face just clean.

Oh, wow, your comments about Ambergris in this review took me back. In 2014, Popsugar Must Have sent a box ( April, I think) that had a hand cream called “K. Hall Simpatico Ambergris Shea Butter Cream”.

It was great hand cream, one of the best I’ve ever used, and had a fantastic scent. The maker used artificial ambergris scent, not the whale stomach goo, but the box had a drawing of a whale on the outer box. So, not knowing about ambergris at that point, I did a search on it and found out all about it.

Was very glad it wasn’t in the tube of hand cream, LOL.

Recently, I recall that a man found a $35,000 value chunk of ambergris on a beach… No whale was harmed.

Bottom line: I REALLY like the scent, but mostly I seriously miss the monthly PSMH boxes!!

Renee

So do I! (miss the monthly PS boxes)

Megan K.

I would just die if I found that on the beach! From happiness and also disgust? I find it so fascinating that such a great scent has such.. special.. origins!

Kate K.

I am really intrigued by this “fragrance journal” you mention. Can you tell us more about it? Is it just like a log of each scent you’ve tried?

Reply ButtonReply

Megan K.

Hey Kate! I can certainly share more. 🙂
My fragrance notebook is kind of like a wine journal. I like to keep notes of each fragrance I smell, the notes described by the brand, and the ones I actually notice myself. I LOVE perfume and am somewhat of an amateur perfumer. I am trying to train my nose to be even sharper. I also have a stash of fragrance sample vials from my boxes and also harassing the very tolerant Sephora employees! Let me know if you want any extra info. I can talk about smells for hours.

I’m curious what you think of Maison Margiela Lipstick On? People love it or hate it and I love it I’m so annoyed its the only one that’s not a rollerball. I’m pretty ambivalent towards most smells, I don’t think I have a keen sense of smell, or it’s just my personality I’m not sure which but I’m not interested in smells- but I AM interested in perfume! I’ve been looking for the so called signature scent for myself that’s more unique and it turns out I’m really picky.
A lot of scents I like are meant for very broad appeal like Tory Burch love endlessly or something Ike that and Not A Perfume and Shhh.. but I will like stranger smelling ones like Kenzo World… Anyways sorry for the ramble, Lipstick On is one of the few that’s really caught my attention but I thought it was terrible for a few minutes then I was like wait do I love this?? What do you think?

Kate K.

Wow, very cool! Thank you for explaining more, Megan!

I am also intrigued and would like to hear more about this journal!

I have very straight hair and I blow dry. My scalp gets dry in the winter and flakes. The Vinegar hair rinse is one of the only things that gets rid of this problem for me.

I’m thinking the Hum supplements arrived to you at the right time! You might have no problem falling asleep but sounds like you aren’t staying asleep. Trying the Hum could help with that until you get the new curtains up? Also I’d never pay that for face wipes.

Reply ButtonReply

Megan K.

Curtains went up! Thank goodness. Still not over the wipe price either.

Reply ButtonReply

Luna

I was just coming on here to say the same thing, because I forgot to mention it in my comments! I’m glad to hear that your curtains are now up Megan! 🙂

I really like Not a Perfume, and I can never spray Juliette has a Gun again without thinking of whale digestive tract waste 🤢

Reply ButtonReply

Megan K.

at least it is made from a synthetic replica of said whale product! 😉

Reply ButtonReply

Luna

I’m currently using the face wipes, and they remind me of large wet naps. lol I mean they work perfectly fine to remove my makeup, but the sheets themselves have that smooth, thin material of wet naps. I would never purchase these, but I’ll always be happy to get them in a box!

I loved that perfume!!! The scent lasted quite a while on me, and it reminded me of the fancy perfumes I’ve smelled at Barney’s or in the perfume section of Nordstroms. I think Sephora sells this brand, and if so I think I may have to get this during their next sale. 🙂

My box was missing the This Works & Amazing Cosmetics products. I planned on gifting these, so I wasn’t too bummed, but based on principle I contacted them anyways via chat, and in less than 5 minutes they had already placed an order for my replacements. Nice! I have to say that this box felt complete even with the two missing products. I wouldn’t even have noticed the missing products if I hadn’t looked at the booklet.

Anna

I like this sunscreen too and I actually bought it (!!!) twice before…

Reply ButtonReply

Tiffany

Whoa! That is a pricey face wipe. Thanks for your honest reviews. I’ve been waffling on this one for awhile and finally subbed for the sunscreen. I need a mineral sunscreen, and they all seem to cause breakouts even though acne isn’t a typical problem for me. Fingers crossed. If anyone can suggest a mineral sunscreen that doesn’t cause breakouts, I’d really appreciate it.

Reply ButtonReply

Megan K.

I hope this one is a winner Tiffany! I feel like Juice products are generally great for acne prone skin or people with oil concerns, so I hope it works well for you. <3

The makeup wipes have an incorrect price. 10 wipes are worth $16 if 30 wipes are $48.

I have dry skin too and automatically disregarded the sunscreen. Maybe I should take it back from my husband.

Megan K.

Thank you! I updated <3

Same with the Works in Transit, I think it is about or close to $20

“Whale Digestive Tract Waste” would be a really good band name. Thank you for the thorough and, uh, graphic perfume rabbit hole!

Megan, I have really been on the fence about buying this box. I am always on the prowl for products with SPF because I am the palest person who lives in Florida and I would prefer not to have skin cancer dug out of my face in 10 years…BUT I’m generally not a fan of the Juice Beauty scent, particularly the anti-blemish cleanser. (But I used a Juice Beauty peel that I thought smelled fine.) Would you say that the scent of the sunscreen is the *typical* Juice Beauty scent?

Reply ButtonReply

Megan K.

I thought the scent was totally different. I usually imagine Juice products with their rather tart, almost Granny Smith Apple scent. This was much more green+citrus to me. The label lists mandarin and petitgrain oils near the end, which is probably why I love it. Petitgrain is my catnip! It is oil from the stems and leaves of the bitter orange tree, and it smells very herbal and green. I will always also recommend COOLA if you are in the market for sunscreen. They have a cucumber scent and also a white tea that is lovely!

Reply ButtonReply

Christy

Thanks for the heads up! I know it can be impossible to describe a scent, and you do it well. I really appreciate it!
