GeekGear Wizardry May 2019 Review
This month, my box included an advertisement to a YouTube channel and a small packing slip introducing who packed my box. I think this is a great inclusion!
Every box also comes with a sealed letter that lists all the items in the box. I like to open it to see if I have the right amount of items, but I do not really read it until I open everything; I like the surprises this box brings!
Pixies T-Shirt
I love this shirt! I remember the first time I saw the Cornish pixies in Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets; pesky little boogers they are! This shirt captures them in a tame environment: behind a cage. The shirt is a bright blue with the cage and pixies in light blue. It is a youth large and fits Bella, my 8-year-old, perfectly. I also loved that she knew exactly what they were when she saw the shirt.
Gringotts Key
Ah, I remember the day Hagrid walked Harry into Gringotts Bank to make his first withdrawal. When I saw this key, I just couldn’t believe how real it looked! I love all the details in this key, especially the number to the vault clipped on the top. While I have no purpose for this key (muggle here), I have already clipped it on my car key ring. It's fabulous and I love it!
Groundskeeper Lantern Ornament
This little lamp looks exactly like Hagrid’s lamp! The only difference is, it doesn’t light up. It is the perfect size for the Christmas tree so I am pretty excited to hang it up. Every year, we pick out ornaments for our tree. Last year, I got this really great Harry ornament, so this one is perfect for mine this year.
You’re A Wizard Pin
I love it! Every time I read this pin, I read it in Hagrid’s voice: “Yer a wizard, Harry” This pin may be small but it is so much bigger! This is probably the quote from the movie that is said most often, at least it is in my family. Any time we see a HP item, my husband will tell me I am a wizard.
Elixir of Life Tea
The teas in this box smell amazing and this one is no different. Packed with apple, hibiscus, rosehip shells, and citrus peels, it smells so delightful! The tea came out bright red when I started to steep it using my awesome tea strainer I got in my March box. It smelled good and had a little bit of a floral flavor. The teas are something I look forward to every month.
Safety Educational Decree No. 82
When I saw this, I could not help but smirk. Of course I remember Professor Umbridge doing her best to take over Hogwarts with these ridiculous rules. The scene where a lot of her changes take place cracks me up every single time I watch it.
Love Potion Artwork
Every month, I receive some artwork and this month’s is a design of the love potion, amortentia. One of my favorite scenes from Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince is when Ron is a victim of amortentia. I really enjoy all the artwork included in this box.
There was also a scratch card included in this month's box.
Verdict: GeekGear Wizardry Box is one of my favorite boxes. The little trinkets are everything a fan would love, down to every detail. I do think that this box should be reserved for true fans of the books and movies though, otherwise it will seem like a collection of unnecessary items and a ton of artwork. For me, though, I treasure every item and enjoy every moment opening the box.

Can you still get this box if you sign up today? No, you will get the July box.
