Ipsy is a monthly beauty and makeup subscription box. Each month you get full-size or deluxe-sized products, plus a cute makeup bag.
This is one of Liz’s top recommendations if you are looking for a subscription box - the value and sample sizes are amazing. (Check out our list of the best beauty boxes for 2019 and our reviews of Cheap Subscription Boxes for more recommendations!)
(FYI – Just like Birchbox, Ipsy sends out many different variations of their bag each month – so my review is just one of the bag variations you might receive!)
My Subscription Addiction pays for this subscription. (Check out the review process post to learn more about how we review boxes).

My Ipsy Glam Bag July 2019 Review
Included is a card detailing your included items.
Each month, Ipsy subscribers get a makeup bag in addition to their items. This month was a super cute palm printed bag with coral interior.
Dillydelight Real Egging Pack, 2 masks - Retail Value $7.99
The packaging for this mask is precious. Open up the cute chicken outer shell and you are left with a faux egg that splits in two, each side sealed off to contain a little clear egg gel mask complete with yellow yolk. Each side also has a built-in spoon that you use to mix the mask, turning it into a heavy, light yellow gel. This is meant to be a sleep mask, though it is really thick and sticky! I made quite a mess on my pillowcase, but my skin did feel amazing in the morning, and my pores had absolutely shrunk a wee bit thanks to the egg extract. There was enough in each side for two masks, though I did store mine in a ziplock bag and I don't think I would sleep in this again because it is so sticky. It might be a great mask for a weekend Netflix binge instead! It has a clean scent that, thankfully, didn't remind me of eggs at all. This is one of the most fun masks I have used in a long time.
Pacifica Bronzed Rose Blush & Bronzer, 28 oz - Estimated Value $23.98
So this item was created exclusively for this sub, though I did find the blush sold solo for $11.99. I couldn't find the bronzer, but I imagine it would have a similar value. I really like these shades! It is rare for me to find a bronzer that I could actually wear, and this soft powder is it. I used this lightly on my face for a glow that was lightly sunkissed. I also liked the blush as well, though I could honestly use that shade as a bronzer too. It wasn't as pink or peach as I generally like my blushes, but I still thought it gave the apples of my cheeks a very pretty, healthy glow.
I like both of these shades very much!
South Seas Mother of Pearl Illuminator Shimmer Lotion, 1 fl oz - Estimated Value $7.06 (Buy a full-size 3.4 fl oz for $24.00)
This lotion is so lightweight and packs a ton of shimmer and glow, while still being really subtle. The shimmer comes from crushed pearls, which feels super glam. My only wish is that it has a better scent, as it has Monoi de Tahiti and should have a gorgeous floral fragrance but doesn't smell much like flowers to my nose personally. It does have an easy-to-like clean scent and is non-sticky, so this is still a winner in my book!
theBalm Cosmetics Eyeshadow in 'He Said, She Said', 0.042 oz- Estimated Value $3.27 (Buy the whole palette with 9 shadows and 2 primers for $36.00)
This is a really pretty shadow! I rather like its soft lilac base and over-the-top gold shimmer. It can be worn lightly for a little bit of glistening, or heavier if you want the purple shade to be much more noticeable. I liked the smooth application and I thought the pigment level was good!
I dig it.
Trust Fund Beauty Nail Polish in 'Where's My Money', 15 ml - Full Size! Retail Value $15.00
I really wanted to love this polish, but I found the formula to be rather runny. The color is very pretty, a pastel lilac that is great for summer and will flatter almost any skin tone. It did have good coverage, though I personally dislike when polish pools at my cuticles.
Two coats here.
Verdict: This Ipsy Glam Bag was one of my favorites so far. I absolutely loved the egg mask, blush & bronzer duo, and the eyeshadow. The illuminating lotion was also a hit in my eyes! The nail polish is the only item I am on the fence about, but I really do like the color. I love full-size products and we received 2 this month (maybe 3 if you count the egg mask!). The value this month is excellent, somewhere around $57.30 for a $10 bag. That is a win in my book, any day.
