This subscription is consistently inconsistent! Some months we have a theme and some months we have the items and their values listed on our info cards. It looks like this month we have a theme of "Enjoy Life," but no listed items and instead just a note about these lippies being great for summer.

Each month, Lip Monthly sends their products in a little soft fabric makeup bag which is just a bit bigger than an iPhone plus (although not quite big enough to fit one inside). This is a cute one this month and the red and blue are festive for July.

Floss. My New Favorite Lip Gloss in LAX - Retail Value $16.00

This first product looked really nude in the tube, but since it is a gloss you can choose to keep it sheer with one layer or build it up and get a lot of color on your lips. I found the formula to be a bit sticky, but not terrible. It doesn't have great staying power in my opinion, but I like the subtle color and it has a vanilla icing scent that is fun!

Here I have a few layers on so you can really see the color, but I prefer to wear it a bit more sheer.

Bellavera Cosmetics Liquid Lipstick in Light Nude - Retail Value $14

This color is way too brown for my skin tone! I know they send variations of colors each month and sometimes I wish they would take the time to personalize it just a bit more so I wouldn't receive shades like this that are pretty unwearable for me. This lipstick does have great staying power and does not budge, but it is a tiny bit sticky even with its truly matte finish.

KAB Cosmetics Lip Liner in Funfetti - Retail Value $12

I love the color of this lip liner! It is that perfect berry shade that blends well with my lips and is much more flattering to my skin tone than the shade of the former lip product! The liner went on smoothly and with a little layer of the Floss. gloss on top, it's my favorite look this month!

I have just a bit of the liner around the edges here and added a swipe of the Floss gloss to blend it into my lips. I'm excited to experiment with a bolder look with this buildable shade, too!

Manna Kadar Diamond Dust in Pixie - Retail Value $19

This next product can easily be used as a lip product, but since it is also a 3-in-1 product, I will probably be using it more for eyeshadow and highlighter instead of as a lip topper. The color is really pretty and shimmery and it goes on pretty smoothly and isn't as messy as it looks.

Here I added it on top of my subtle liner/Floss. gloss look and it added just a bit of shimmer.

Here they are swatched. In order from top to bottom, they are Floss., Bellavera, KAB Cosmetics, and Manna Kadar.

Verdict: This month was a pretty great selection from Lip Monthly with the exception of the liquid lipstick. Three out of four is a pretty good month for me though since usually, it's about 50/50. I actually liked that the Manna Kadar product had other uses besides just a lip product and with its tiny size I think I'll throw it in my bag for shadow and highlighter touch-ups on the go! The total retail value this month was pretty great at $61 for a subscription that only costs $12.95! While every color may not be for you, with four products in a bag, there is a good chance you'll still come out on top and some shades might even surprise you!

I am a homeschooling mom to 4 kids; 1 girl and 3 boys. While I have been reviewing boxes since 2018 and I love the luxury of trying new products, I'm also balancing it out by dabbling in a little bit of homesteading, too. We now have 4 chickens and a rabbit and my sourdough starter is going strong! I love learning about new brands and sharing the great things I find with others in hopes that they find something new to love or to fit their needs!

I’ve been with lip monthly awhile. I did a 3 month sub, then a 6. I’ve got 1 bag left. I agree it’s very inconsistent. With coupons, my bag has cost $8.13/per bag and $8.33/per bag. I will not be renewing. The last 4 months have included a lip liner, which I consider a throw away item. Retail has been anywhere from $36-$84. I’m not picky on color. I do not like the bellapiere brand or the lip monthly crayon. The bp liquid lip is super tacky, it’s unusable. I’m switching to So Susan Color Curate. I’ve been underwhelmed and disappointed in LP the last few months.

The only item I’m keeping this month is the Manna Kadar product. The rest are up for swap. Lip Monthly is about 50/50 for me, too, but for $10 a month (I’ve been with them a long time), it’s worth the fun of having something to look forward to, usually something new to try, and then if I can get a swap out of the other items, it’s totally worth it to me.

I would keep a lot more items if the colors were right, but you can’t please everyone all the time. They probably figure nudes are “safe,” but I want the brightest, boldest colors.

I would also like to mention that they frequently have brands that are featured in other subs, but in different colors. For instance, this lip gloss was in this month’s Allure box, too, but in clear, not colored. And a lip liner in the June bag was also in Boxycharm and followed by a bunch of people on the swap board. pretty much every month they have some brand that was just in another box, so it isn’t all cheaper end products.

I do wonder about their personal brand, though. The boxes I have all say “03,” but they are different colors. *thinking face emoji*

August is my last month with them and I’ve never been so happy for a sub to stop taking my money ever. Worst mistake I’ve made in quite some time. I’ve only gotten one usable color out of the 9 I’ve been scent. And they are all over the place. I’ve gotten Brown, fuschia, Coral. I have brown hair and brown eyes. How hard is this. Just throw me one berry shade pretty please??? I got that same brown btw. There is no saving it. Save your money. While your at it, skip lipstick junkie too.

This was my third bag from LM, so far I would say each month has been 50/50 for me. Not a waste, but I am still not sure if I will continue it for much longer.

As much as I love and hoard lip products, giving away half my bag each month makes it hard to justify keeping it around. Then again, at that price point… LOL 😀

I really like the beige/brown liquid lipstick. I think it looks pretty on you, and I love to wear this kind of color.

I think the brown is a bit too brown but being one never to not use a lip product I would use it to contour or layer it with a pink regular lipstick to enhance it’s staying power and make it less pink.

I may be in the minority but I actually really like Manna Kaddar. I have swapped for several MK products in the past. My favorite is either the setting powder or the body scrub.

I do too for the most part. There are definitely worse brands in sub boxes (Hikari and LaRitzy) than MK. The only thing I hate from them is their Paradise Blush, which is actually a nice blush, but the packaging is so hard to open that I’m too turned off to use it. For as expensive as the RV is supposedly on these items, they can use better packaging. I don’t want to chip a nail to open any compact. I do really like their eyeshadow base.

I’ve tried Eyeshadow, Mascara and Body Scrub from MK and HATE all of them. The scent, quality and packaging of their products are a big fail for me. Glad someone out there likes them tho, they are featured a lot in sub boxes!
