Edgy Moose Cotton Bowl Cover – Retail Value $12.00

This month I received an organic cotton bowl cover with “Every Day Is a Fresh Start” with spice names and illustrations on the front cover. The price above is for an unwaxed cover; a waxed cover is $16.00. There was no indicator if the cover was waxed or not so I just priced as unwaxed. The cover is 10”/10.5” inches around, non-toxic, machine washable, reusable, and handmade in Canada. The large cover is intended to cover items I may transport to a picnic, short-term preserving of veggies, fresh baked goods, and fruit. Also, best for covering rising bread dough. This item reminds me of a small shower cap. Unfortunately, I did not have a bowl that would adequately fit this cover which was a disappointment.

Verdict: This month’s MightyFix was a disappointment. Let me know if you received the cover if you were able to use it to cover your kitchenware. Also, readers have mentioned in previous reviews that they already received a product I was reviewing. This month’s retail value is $12.99; the products have been around the $12.00 range the last few months.

I got one of these a few months ago. It fit over my trifle bowl and worked well enough to keep the chocolate mousse covered in the fridge while it set.

So sorry that it was such a small size, because it is very pretty and extremely useful for rising dough. I made homemade dough for my kids’ lunch sandwiches (of course some liked white bread and others liked wheat) for years, so I know for a fact that this is too tiny to work. Why would they send such a small size, when just four or six more inches would have been such a great item to receive? Again, sorry that they sent a bummer item. One big enough would have been so useful.

I was disappointed as well. I used to love mighty fix but the value seems to be going way down. I may cancel and just buy the items I like and spend just a few dollars more.
