Mighty Fix June 2019 Review
Each box includes an info card telling you about the featured item and how what they chose to send you helps your house be “greener,” and you be “healthier!" This month’s featured item is an all-purpose spaghetti scrub, included is 2-pcs and the back of the info card is instructions on “how to clean a cast iron skillet.
Primary Group All-Purpose Spaghetti Scrub-2pcs – Retail Value $12.99 (found here for $9.99)
I own a cast iron skillet and tested out the all-purpose spaghetti scrub for cleaning. It’s suggested to clean the cast iron skillet while still warm and to use kosher salt for difficult stuck on food stains. I used hot water and opted for a tiny amount of dish soap (it’s best to not use any cleaner on the cast iron skillet to not strip the seasonings from the food cooked in the pan that coats it) and gently scrubbed the pan and toweled dried. The pan got cleaned with no starches or stripping from the spaghetti scrub. The spaghetti scrub can last up to 4-6 months, dishwasher safe on the top rack, microwavable for 10 seconds for disinfecting purposes, dries quickly, and the natural peach pit abrasives reduces the need for soap. From Primary Group:
Use for general cleaning of dishes, cookware, wood, plastic, glass, metal, and high-quality nonstick pans. These scrubs are especially great on cast iron.
Here is a close-up of the spaghetti scrub made from peach pit powder and 100% cotton fabric.
