Nadine West May 2019 Review
This is the invoice that arrived with my package this month. The box was comped, so the prices of the items have been struck through, but you can see what the cost to keep each item would have been.
Icon Necklace - Cost to Keep $14.99
I love layered necklaces! This one is so cute! It's really shiny, and the crystals on the bottom pendant also give it a little bit of sparkle. Layered necklaces are awesome because they have that cool boho look, but you don't have multiple chains around the back of your neck, and the pendants stay aligned (unlike layering with multiple necklaces). This is awesome!
Daisy Drops Earrings - Cost to Keep $16.99
Speaking of boho, these earrings are fantastic! So funky! I love unique pieces. They seem to be enamel paint over metal on the daisies, with plastic beads on the metal chains. I like the green color a lot. They are really cute and different!
Marigold Quarters Earrings - Cost to Keep $14.99
I actually already have these exact earrings already, haha! They are very pretty and delicate, and I like the gold color. I think the brand "It's Sense" is a big subscription box staple for earrings, so I guess it was just a matter of time before I got a repeat. The funny thing is that I think I got them from a different box!
Kressa Top - Cost to Keep $25.99
This chiffon blouse is just a tad too small for me, and it's too bad because I really like it. The neckline is awesome! I love that collar, and the rolled tabbed sleeves are great. I also think the print and color scheme is really nice for summer. It's also a breezy, lightweight, and slightly sheer fabric.
Jaime Top - Cost to Keep $25.99
I have a short list of things I wish I would never get in subscription boxes again, and fairly high on the list is tops with ruching in the torso. Make no mistake about it, they look fantastic on women with attractive belly areas, but my abs are my biggest problem area, literally and figuratively. I was actually excited about this top when I pulled it out of the package because I adore the print and especially the rich color! It is also a super soft cotton knit. The ruching just makes it look terrible on me, unfortunately.
Casey Top - Cost to Keep $25.19
I really like this tee! The double stripes on the sleeves give it an unmistakably sporty look, but the knot on the front hem makes it also look feminine and casual. It's a really soft cotton knit, which is my favorite fabric for tops. I am not in love with heather gray, but I think the burgundy trim adds a fun contrast.
Casela Pants - Cost to Keep $17.99
Please note that the black top is not from Nadine West! I usually try to pair everything I get in a box with other things from the box, but this month nothing matched, so I went with a basic black tee to show these pants and the skirt below. These pants are a polyester blend with good stretch, and they are super comfortable! The fabric is very lightweight and micro-pleated, too. They are a tad long on me and just a little sheer, but otherwise, they are great.
Maxi Stripes Skirt - Cost to Keep $11.99
This might be my favorite piece in the box, and part of the reason is because of the price! This skirt is a steal! It's a cotton knit, too, and it's so soft and comfortable! It is also flattering, and I really like the navy and beige stripes for summer. Maxi skirts are ideal for summer when you want to keep cool but do not necessarily want to show off your legs. I love it!
The Verdict: I love Nadine West! Not everything they send is a hit with me, but they always have something I love. This month I am loving the maxi skirt and the layered necklace. I also really like that they send so many items! It's great to have a lot to choose from. Plus, their prices are consistently the least expensive. If you want to try a styling service on a budget, Nadine West is the one!
