Papergang is a monthly stationery subscription box from quirky UK design team, Ohh Deer. Each month they partner with a different artist and have a theme to bring you paper goods and desk accessories. Every month's packaging is glorious and acts as the perfect preview to the theme of the box. This month's artist is illustrator Chloe Hall (@chloehallillustration), and she creates dreamy floral and other nature-inspired designs that appear on eco-friendly products ranging from the stationery you'll see in this box to jewelry, ceramics, and more.
The flip side of the box always features a cut-out craft. For July it's three gift tags with flowers to match the front of the box.
My Subscription Addiction paid for this box. (Check out the review process post to learn more about how we review boxes).

Papergang July 2019 Review
Papergang includes a little info booklet each month that matches the box and theme of the contents! Want to take a peek inside with me?
Under the front cover is a list with the contents of this month's box (Box #41). You can see a cute-as-can-be photo of Chloe holding a ceramic piece she painted with super-lovely flowers! Usually they provide suggested retail values, but this month they left them out. Alas, these items are priceless!
I always love the Q&A Papergang provides with the featured artist of the month—it's so inspiring to read insights into what gets them going. I've adapted a few new rituals and routines inspired by Papergang-featured artists over the months!
This is the first time I'm aware of there being a clear theme of the box, but I dig it. The theme is old school letter-writing, which I do all the time and so of course am very enthusiastic about the concept!
Papergang has a great referral program with a free box as its incentive. Yesssss.
Finally, some social links—and I strongly suggest you follow them, Papergang's got a solid social game—as well as a code for 10% off your purchase of cards, stationery, and gifts from the Ohh Deer shop!
Letter Set
Hello, beautiful stationery! When I was in high school I always requested personalized stationery as a gift for birthdays and such, but it's been years since I've requested it. This basically feels made for me, though, because I totally would have selected if I had seen it out in the world. It's absolutely beautiful. The pattern inside the envelopes gets me good.
A6 Notebook
We all know Papergang provides us with more notebooks than we can maybe ever possibly use, but that doesn't stop me from swooning each time a new one arrives anyway. I like that this one is pocket-sized—to me, it's useful more for day-to-day notes and less for journaling, so it's not the same old, same old. I love having an ongoing notebook that I carry around in my purse to use for anything I need it to be—I always save them after they're full so I can look back and see what I was up to in years past that I might not have remembered.
Document Holder
This pouch struck me as a rather large pencil case, but seeing now that Papergang is calling it a "document holder" explains that. I suppose you could fit an 8 1/2 x 11 sheet of paper folded in half inside of it, or certainly notecards. It could also be used as a makeup bag, or just as a way of organizing random small things inside your bag.
Stickers
Stickers, yay! These are just too pretty. They will be perfect for sealing and accenting the stationery envelopes.
Bullet Pen
Such a sleek pen! As you can see from the little greeting I wrote above in the mini notebook, it writes in blue.
Bonus: Riso Calendar
Finally, the classic Papergang offering: a riso calendar. They've officially removed the specific month indication, so you can fill it in with whatever month is useful to you. Its design is a neon version of what's on everything else we received this month.
Verdict: What a lovely Papergang box! I'm thrilled that they went back to their roots with a letter-writing theme. It also features such a sweet, versatile design. I received a stationery set, a mini notebook, a zipper pouch, a sticker sheet, a pen, and a bonus riso calendar. While values weren't listed this month, my estimate is that the items probably add up to approximately $35 USD. The box is approximately $20.26 (box + shipping to the USA), and I definitely feel like I got at least that value.
To Wrap Up:
Can you still get this box if you sign up today? No, you'll receive the August box! Check this helpful ship date guide to see the order-by date to receive the next few months' boxes.
You can also get a free box with a 6-month subscription or 2 free boxes with a 12-month subscription!
Value Breakdown: This box costs $13.95 + $6.31 shipping, which means that each of the 6 items in the box (counting the riso calendar) has an average cost of $3.38.
