This month, Society Socks included a little card that talked about Society Socks' partnership with Mobile Loaves, a Twin Cities organization that donates to people living in poverty. Personally, I always prefer subscribing to a brand that gives back in some way, either through ethical practices or partnering with community organizations, so this card was a welcome sight.
Okay, onto the socks! Each month, subscribers receive two pairs of socks each featuring its own design. Usually one pair will have a quirkier design and the other will be more abstract. All Society Socks pairs are made with an 80% Cotton, 15% Spandex, 5% Elastane blend. There's no extra cushioning on the sole, so they're more like formal socks in that regard. And they reach mid-calf on my boyfriend (who is 6'3").

Turtle Socks
These turtle socks are so classy! The tiny sea turtles look almost like little orange flower buds scattered across these navy blue socks, but upon closer inspection, the orange shells and green flippers and heads of the turtles reveal themselves. There are matching green accents around the ankles, toes, and heels of each sock. The Kelly green and navy palette makes these socks feel almost preppy. My boyfriend is a bit of a golfer, and we both could see him sporting these socks on the links.

Gray and Yellow Patterned Socks
This next pair features bright sunshine yellow accents (again on the ankles, heels, and toes) and a heather-gray body dotted with small green squares. Each cluster of green squares looks somewhat like a windowpane, with turquoise and yellow accents sprinkled around each group for an extra pop. They're a bit more conservative than the last pair, if simply because the design is abstract, rather than dotted with actual animals. But my boyfriend is a fan. I don't know if he has much yellow in his wardrobe (outside of Steelers or Penguins gear), so these socks are something new and fun for summer. We have a wedding to go to in August, and I feel like they'd make a fun, summery addition peeking out from the hem of his khakis.
Verdict: Society Socks are comfortable, nicely made socks that help add some personality to my boyfriend's usual routine. We've both been happy with the quirky designs. They're fun, but not so over the top that they'd be out of place in a board room or fancy party. And from our experience so far, they wash relatively well. It's not like you wear them once or twice before you start seeing your toes peeking through—we're several months in with a few of these pairs, and they've held up nicely.
