We have an update for the Fall Happy Rebel Box - thanks, Jennifer and Susan, for the heads up!

And here is the update on the orignal spoiler:

We have an important update regarding our custom designed placemats:

We have just found out that an error occurred during the manufacturing process that altered the final size of the product. As a result, the size of each piece is 7.6" x 11.8", not 9.8" x 11.8" as originally listed in the description last week. Unfortunately, the long lead time that would be required to manufacture the material and remake the piece makes doing so not an option.

Due to this change, we have a couple of options to offer our members:
  1. Receive 2 extra at no additional charge - 6 instead of 4!
  2. Choose a completely new item! You can opt to receive this electric wine bottle opener instead of the placemats.
Next steps:
  • If you have already submitted your color choice and want to stick with that, there is no action needed by you. You will automatically receive 2 extras in your box.
  • If you have not yet submitted your color choice, or would rather receive the electric wine bottle opener instead of the placemat choice you previously submitted, please submit your choice here on or before September 6th.
  • As always, you are not required to submit a choice for items with a variation option. You are welcome to let us choose for you to keep it a surprise!
We sincerely apologize for the last minute change, but we would rather be totally transparent with our customers and ensure they are pleased with their choice rather than switch things up without notice. Taking care of you is our number one priority.

Personally, I would like to add a note about just how cool this item is! So beautiful, functional and durable. The edges of each panel fit together like puzzle pieces both end-to-end as well as side-to-side, making them so versatile for many different applications. I think mine will end up being used as a runner on the table in my foyer when not in use on my dining table.

I hope you enjoy using the items in your fall box in the company of friends and family as much as I did putting the collection together.

Cheers!

Here's a look at the wine bottle opener:
The Silver Lux™ Electric Corkscrew is designed to uncork any bottle of wine with ease—at the touch of a button, this sleek opener pulls the cork smoothly up and out of your bottle. Rotate the top arrow from "close" to "open" to release and use the integrated foil cutter. Rechargeable and includes AC adapter.

In case you missed it, here are the original spoilers:

Spoiler 2:

VISKI Dipped Crystal Highball Glass - Polished copper curves diagonally across the smooth surfaces of this highball, adding a vestige of metallic intrigue to an already elevated set of glassware. Fashioned from lead-free colored crystal. Polished copper electroplating. Hand wash only. Accommodates 14 oz. comfortably.

TWINE Cheers Pint Glass- Raise more toasts with this festive pair of gold-printed pint glasses. Unique contour and base, with the lightest trace of gold running along the rim and a shimmering “Cheers!” splashed in block lettering across each glass.Hand wash recommended.

BLUSH Stemless Wine Glass | Saguro or Mariposa - We took notes from our favorite vintage glassware and gave them a decidedly modern update with an opaque gradient and gold rim. Now, even your cocktails are making a statement. Sodalime glass.

So after seeing a few initial reactions to this box, I came home fully prepared to hate it.

… but I dont! I love the mint colored glasses, which are larger than I thought they would be. I opted for the electric bottle opener, which was something I wanted to get anyway. The matching coasters would be awesome for those that got the placemats, which I didn’t, but they will make nice trivets, which I need. I don’t host parties often, but I do host a regular girls’ night and we will use the charms and wine stones. I don’t like the bottle opener as a necklace, but I will use it and find it to be a neat thing to include. The paper plates, napkins, and utensils will go to my office and make my reheated lunches feel a bit nicer. The mermaid garland is perfect for my mermaid and flamingo themed office (I’m a child therapist). So I’m pleased.

Box just arrived and this is just awful. Paper plates, napkins, straws and partyware. 🙄 Seriously $252 for the Mariposa Party Collection is so over inflated. Since I don’t drink and hate all this cheap-looking gold crap they sent, I have no idea what to do with this. I would say it is giftable, but it’s just too tacky to give to anyone I know. They may have seriously lost a few customers with this……

I’l completely agree. Missed the mark. A lot of the items felt more like they should have been in an old Popsugar or FabFitFun box. I chose Happy Rebel to get away from that crap…

I don’t think they are FFF level cheap, but I will say that the amount of color in this box (well 2 of the 4 variations) and the heart shaped wine stones do seem a bit off brand.

I can see how someone might feel that way, but I the black collection and the gold foil is really nice. I will be glad to have some elevated plates and napkins on hand that aren’t Christmas or kid birthday party themed… always embarrassing to pull those out for guests lol! Plus, that is just one piece of the box and there are lots of other nice and useful items in there. I think the placemats will make a great runner/trivets. I really love the unique design of them and the matching coasters were a great surprise. And I already had some of the same glasses from another box from awhile back so I appreciate having a fuller set. I mean what box sends 4 glasses?! That was awesome.

Agreed. I listed my entire box for sale. We just renovated so I was looking forward to some new entertaining supplies, but this all feels cheap and random.

Just got my shipping notice!
Woohoo!

I’m going with the placemats. I’ve had so many wine openers over the years and go back to simple wine keys.

Especially for expensive wine…there’s much more control to avoid breaking the cork and gently removing.

HR has really handled this great – thank you HR! This fix must’ve been a considerable amount of thought and work!

Wow what great customer service and making sure everyone knows and happy. I love Happy Rebel more and more.

If the edges actually fit together like a puzzle piece like what was stated then these would look really cool linked together down the center of a table or an island to set food on, think trivet, which they would also work well for, but even as a focal point down the center of the table with a decorative piece like candles or flowers ect. Would look so cool with or without a table cloth underneath, and set across an island for entertaining to set food out, also these would make fantastic and stylish trivets for setting individual foods out! I would use them on dressers and vanities as well for added focal interest, on end tables, then glasses could be set on them and no need for coasters, link a couple together on your coffee table, again no need for coasters, outside on the patio table, I would find so much uses for these, I just wish I could afford the box! 😢

these are really cool, and I love the idea of using them together as a table runner so much. I’m actually really sad they they just don’t go with my decor at all. So I’m thrilled that we now have another option to choose from.

I love how the placemats compliment the design of the knife block we received in a previous Happy Rebel box. I need a new bottle opener but I think I will stick with the placements and use them as coasters, placed under plants, or as Nicole mentioned for appetizers and dips at parties.

I like the way you think, Leah 😉

I am actually very happy to receive 6 placemats! I have a six person dining room table. They will look awesome with a small runner.

This will be my first box with them, but I’m very happy with how they’ve handled this. I was disappointed since I really wanted the unique placemats but they would have been too small for my (rather large) plates, so I chose the wine opener. I’m sure I’ll enjoy that.

J

Calling these placemats is ridiculous considering they are approximately the size of a sheet of notebook paper. Even my salad plates wouldn’t fit on these, let alone flatware and stemware.

Jessica T

I’m glad they made the notifications. I just think that is super small to put place settings on? Even without chargers it seems like the plates would hang over the edges.

Reply ButtonReply

Nicole

That is on the small side, but I was thinking maybe they would look nice placed on top of another, larger placemat? They are just so unique, I’d have to find a way to use them. Worst case, maybe they could be used under things like chips and dip/appetizers at a party or something like that. If they we’re just a bit smaller, they’d make cool coasters.💁
