Front Porch Pecans in Sea Salt, 4oz – Listed Value $5.99 (Buy a pack of 4 here for $22.99)
Fat 22g | Net Carbs 1g | Taste Score: 10/10
From a family-owned Georgia orchard, these buttery, fresh-picked, and roasted pecans are keto-friendly and all-natural, plus GMO-free. Pecans are high in antioxidants and healthy fats which makes them an excellent mid-day snack.
These pecans are seriously delicious! They are so fresh, light and not even a little bit dry. Just pecans and sea salt and this is the best thing I've eaten all day! I'm definitely ordering more!
Keto Bars Dark Chocolate Coconut Almond, 1.65 oz – Listed Value $2.50 (Buy a pack of 10 here for $24.95)
Fat 20g | Net Carbs 3g | Taste Score: 7/10
This keto bar made with a blend of dark chocolate, shredded coconut, and almond butter is high in protein, keto-friendly, vegan, and gluten-free.
Yum! This keto bar is rich and decadent. I love the taste of dark chocolate and the coconut adds a bit of texture. I’d eat this in maybe 3 or 4 servings. One small piece would satisfy my sweet tooth. It's made with erythritol (which I don't care for) but I can barely taste it.
Keto Farms Keto Snack Mix in Strawberry Gouda, 1.02 oz – Listed Value $3.99 (Buy a pack of three 3.4 oz bags here for $24.95)
Fat 13g | Net Carbs 3g | Taste Score: 8/10
Keto Farms makes snack mixes with clean ingredients and big flavor! This mix is made with sweet strawberries, buttery gouda cheese, and sprouted almonds and pecans.
This mix smells amazing and tastes delicious. It’s unique too – not the combination of ingredients that I would expect. It's a real treat albeit a tiny one! The portion is small, especially considering the price, and for me, small portion + big taste = overeating. Le sigh!
Ketofit Bar in Chocolate, 1.94 oz – Listed Value $2.99 (Buy a case of 12 here when restocked)
Fat 25g | Net Carbs 3g | Taste Score: 4/10
Made with organic almond butter, cocoa butter and containing collagen protein and MCT oil, these super bars promise to help control your appetite, increase energy, reduce inflammation and improve your quality of sleep.
I knew I wouldn’t like this bar the minute I opened it. It didn’t look appetizing and was greasy to the touch. I tried it and the texture was off-putting – it's hard to explain but it was a lot softer than I would expect a bar to be. The taste itself is not too bad. I just know that I can't deal with the texture.
Know Better Chocolate Chip Cookie, 2.01 oz – Listed Value $3.49 (Buy a box of 8 here for $19.99)
Fat 16g | Net Carbs 3g | Taste Score: 10/10
Know Better makes a wide range of keto-friendly products and I love their motto: “know better, eat better, feel better, and live better!” This soft-baked chocolate chip cookie is made with almonds, chocolate chips and sweetened with allulose.
So good! The texture is three parts cookie and a one part muffin. The taste is simply delicious. It's the best keto cookie I've had! I ate this cookie with my cold brew coffee and cream. The combination was so perfect that I almost felt like I was cheating on my diet!
MCT Co MCTBar in Caramel Sea Salt, 1.59 oz – Listed Value $3.49 (Buy a 12 pack here for $38.99)
Fat 19g | Net Carbs 2g | Taste Score: 6/10
Packed with 10g of collagen protein and MCT oil derived from coconuts, this caramel sea salt flavor bar promises to provide immediate energy and aid in weight loss. It's also all-natural, non-GMO, and sweetened with monk fruit.
I had nearly the same experience with the look and texture of this bar as I did with the KetoFit bar that also contains MCT oil. This one, however, wasn't as greasy, and I loved the caramel sea salt flavor. If I could just get past the soft but not chewy texture, I would probably really enjoy this bar.
nush Blueberry Cake, 2.1 oz – Listed Value $3.00 (Buy a pack of 6 here for $17.94)
Fat 12g | Net Carbs 3g | Taste Score: 7/10
Nush makes organic, gluten-free and keto-friendly cakes in yummy flavors like pineapple mango, banana nut, and this blueberry cake packed with real blueberries.
I think this is probably the closest you can get to enjoying a blueberry muffin while on the keto diet! It's good but has a slightly off smell and leaves a greasy film on my tongue. The large blueberries and soft muffin-like texture make me really want to love this cake.
Raw Food Central Macho Nacho Kale Chips, 1.5 oz – Listed Value $6.99, Retail Value $5.24
Fat 5g | Net Carbs 5g | Taste Score: 7/10
These macho nacho kale chips are organic, non-GMO, gluten-free, vegan and kosher! That means there's nothing artificial or processed in this healthy keto snack with a satisfying crunch and a mild Southwest kick!
Earthy, spicy, crunchy and satisfying! I enjoyed snacking on these kale chips and the macho nacho flavor adds a nice kick.
Smart Baking Company Cinnamon Smartcake, 2.11 oz – Listed Value $3.50 (Buy 2 boxes of 4 cakes each here for $14.95)
Fat 2.5g | Net Carbs 0g | Taste Score: 10/10
These Smartcakes come in a pack of two yummy cakes that are only 38 calories each with an impressive 5g of fiber and 4g of protein. They're also gluten-free with no added sugar or starches.
Smartcakes are one of the first keto-friendly snacks I discovered along my weight loss journey. I'm pretty much addicted to these cakes and they are a permanent staple in my pantry. If you haven't tried them yet, I highly recommend it!
Tomer Kosher Original Beef Stick – Listed Value $1.99 (Buy a box of 10 here for $13.99)
Fat 6g | Net Carbs 1g | Taste Score: 8/10
This 100% kosher certified beef stick has no nitrates or added sugar, is only 90 calories and contains 7g of protein.
This beef stick is good! No texture issues, odd taste, or weird aftertaste. No complaints!
Van Holten’s Pickle Ice Freeze Pop, 2 oz – Listed Value $1.00 (Buy a pack of 8 here for $7.99)
Fat 0g | Net Carbs 1g | Taste Score: 8/10
Pickle Ice?! Apparently pickle juice is packed with a ton of electrolytes and minerals that help refresh and rehydrate you. This real pickle juice popsicle is touted as a great way to stay hydrated on a hot day.
It’s no bad at all and was unexpectantly pleasant to eat. There isn’t any added sugar, but it did taste slightly sweet. It was gone before I knew it!
The Verdict: On the keto diet, one of my biggest challenges is finding healthy and keto-friendly snacks to hold me over between meals. This box had some great snacks that were delicious and align well with my healthy diet goals.
Of the snacks in this month’s box, my favorites were the pecans, chocolate chip cookie, and Smartcakes. I will happily purchase each of these snacks again. The only items that missed that mark for me were the bars with MCT oil. It was not because they didn't taste good but because of the odd and greasy texture. I absolutely loved the two unique snacks in this month’s box – the strawberry gouda snack mix and the pickle ice. These aren’t everyday finds which makes this box even more special. I’d love to see more snacks like these.
Overall, I enjoyed this snack box and I hope next month’s box is as good as this one!
